Still, we were able to get some policies set up and she was clearly very knowledgeable. However, for the last policy, I've no waited a month and she still hasn't been able to get it confirmed for me. Meanwhile, I will miss the window in 2023 to have my dental work done. Therefore I will have to pay an additional $1500 When I get the work done. I still don't have a policy. She has not returned my calls or responded to my email. This isn't the first time I've experienced this behavior with her and is extremely frustrating and unprofessional. I encourage you to think carefully before you work with her because she's not able to be consistent with communication or follow through. She actually blamed not having my policy ready on her. Telephone not working. Another time she didn't return my call for seven days and said she was sick. Very disappointing experience. I'm happy to take this review down if I get a policy by tomorrow. This is really unfair. Treatment of a client.

The hold times to speak to someone in the "Customer Disservice" group has exceeded over an hour only to be picked up by a call center in India who could not be of any help. We are considering changing out our home, auto and umbrella policies to another company. My advice is to contact another company for your needs as Allstate is no longer the good hands people.

Ryan brought to our attention that the highest income earners at the company did not have adequate short term disability insurance in place. I've been with Mike's agency since 2012 or so. Truth be told, I haven't always had a good…read morerelationship with my insurance providers--I sometimes find they're not really there when I need them (I posted a review of a previous insurance agent) and they're not pro-active either. I have to say that Mike King and his team (including Stacy Reno) are different and great. First, I've always found them really easy to communicate with and highly responsive--whether by phone or email, it's easy to get in touch with them and get a fast response. Recently, we've had to add an au pair to our insurance policy and then remove a former one, and it involves a few steps, but MIke's team made it clear and easy to make this happen. Second, more recently (and this is a GREAT example of their service), I got a letter in the mail from the office of Marin County, and it said that we were in a new flood zone and to check the maps and contact the county if we had questions--to be honest, I really didn't understand it, and initially, I chose to ignore it. Well, I ran into a neighbor and he brought up this note and it made me rethink my initial "strategy" of ignoring it. Anyway, I emailed a copy of the letter to Mike a couple of weeks ago, and he said he'd look into it (again, in my experience, this often leads to nothing). And honestly, I totally forgot about it until yesterday. I got a phone call from Stacy Reno, who works with Mike, and she told me she's been in webinars and on the phone to figure out what this all means. What she told me is that net net, we will soon be required to get flood insurance, and it won't be cheap. She did say that we could get grandfathered into our previous flood zone permanently if we put a policy into place before March 16th. So I went down that road, which I'm grateful to Mike and Stacy for! Third, we've had a few claims over the years, and they've been super easy to deal with and really responsive with their advice and suggestions. I highly recommend Mike and his team! And I plan to be a customer for a long time.

In June, for the first time ever, I got a notice from my mortgage lender that they were not named as an additional insured on the policy. In August, I got a notice from my auto lender that they had not received proof of insurance and they "force placed" my insurance (they obtain insurance that only covers their risk, and they charge you for this). My experience is you provide this info to the agent and they do the paperwork to satisfy the lenders. Two screw-ups in 3 months is NOT acceptable. Adios Mike! (And he was not gracious about it).
