Nutrition, lifestyle, hormones, prior conditions, etc. and provide a treatment plan that is best for you. The staff is above board. I have a hard time finding doctors I love. I have a certain chronic condition that makes finding…read moredoctors who listen and are willing to help a challenge. In particular it makes me have some orthopedic issues. Dr Humeniuk was recommended by my geneticist. He listens better than 98% of doctors I have met. He is incredibly thorough. His office staff is caring and they seem quite happy working there. I appreciate all the extra time he spends with me because his insights have been invaluable in understanding the big picture of what I have going on. He's even given me some great ideas for non-surgical interventions and not-orthopedic issues (such as doctors to see and things to talk to my other current specialists about). I belong to an online support group for people with my chronic genetic condition. In that group we have what we call "the good Dr list". I suggested adding him to it recently and when I did, at least a dozen other members piped up to say that they see him and that he is phenomenal. One of them called him "the unicorn" of doctors. We usually talk pretty frankly about bad experiences and we rarely all agree on an overall good experience with a doctor. There's almost always someone who has had a poor experience in our group, but no one had with Dr. Humeniuk. That says a ton about his focus on his patients, especially considering we are people who see a lot of different doctors. I appreciate his commitment to my health and helping me see and understand my own health from his perspective. His staff is kind and happy and I can see that he treats them very well. Sometimes you do wait a short while to see him (15-25 minutes). I've had specialists who expect me to wait 4 hours or more, so that's nothing to me. I suppose if you expect to be seen exactly at your appointment time, try someone else but that's not something that bothers me. His skill and willingness to listen and help me understand more than makes up for any short wait.

I had a recent MRI which showed severe arthritis but he looked at it more closely and realized my pain was something else and I was pain free within 2 days. He also took the time to listen to all my complaints and ran some blood tests and discovered an illness that no other doctor has been able to find. It would have been easy for him to just see the MRI results and move on, but because he did not I am finally able to have answers for all my chronic issues. I will be forever grateful for him. Since I have been with Dr. Syed, about 3 years now, I have had multiple injections for trigger points and blocks ALL with a high success rate. My gait, which had been off for 29 years due to pain, is becoming normal. I can place my foot with toes forward to walk. I have not had a bad thoracic lock up in quite some time due to medications provided and changing my mechanics on how I move my upper body,along with stretches, all suggestions by Dr. Syed and his PA's. They are great about answering all of my crazy questions, great bedside manner, they do listen and they do care. The PA's Veronica, Devon and Anthony are all so knowledgeable, patient and kind. It has to be difficult with every person who comes in is complaining due to pain. They are angels. I am located in Frisco and the procedures are done there at the location so you are familiar with your surroundings and comfortable. I have a needle phobia and Marcus the anesthesiologist is phenomenal in helping me stay calm. I trust this team to take care of me in my stressful state. I lost my job last September after 21 yrs and they were allowing me to pay half of the cash payment and billing me for the rest. Less than 2 months ago, my wife suddenly died and they seemed like they cared BUT after I had to reschedule my appt last week until this week, without ANY WARNING or even simply telling me over the phone, I show up this morning for my normal follow up for my refills and I was told that if I cannot pay the FULL CASH PRICE, they will NOT SEE ME AS A PATIENT ANY LONGER. Their statement that THEY CARE more about the patient than the money is SIMPLY NOT TRUE. I called late on Monday for an appointment and was able to get in Wednesday morning (I requested morning, and they aren't open mornings on Tuesday, so the availability was great). We were cash pay, so we didn't deal with the insurance process but rather got the immediate cash pay discount ($125 for the initial visit and $65 for additional visits as of this date). The receptionist was very nice and helpful when I made the appointment, when I had just a tiny bit of trouble finding the office, and when I came in. Dr. Brady was also very personable and professional at the same time. I came in with a two- and a four-year-old who are not the calmest children in the world. The entire staff was very kind and friendly with the kids, and they even had a small corner with toys and books for children. When it was time for us to go in, the doctor told the kids to pick toys to bring in to the room with us. He didn't hesitate when my daughter asked him to hold her shoes she had taken off. It is such a huge relief for a parent who has to bring children to an appointment to have such an amazing reception by the staff. We were taken in without a long wait, and the whole appointment was pretty quick yet not at all rushed. He listened to what was going on with me and asked pertinent questions. After a few short adjustments, I could turn my head fully both ways for the first time in over a month. He gave me advice on follow up (in my case, just to focus on shoulder rolls and keeping the neck loose and keeping an eye on the headaches to notice when and where they occur). Personally, I prefer to find a health practitioner who practices healthy choices too. These toxic drinks are on the same level as smoking. I'm still on my journey to find a practitioner who practices healthy living as that's important to me.
