I was in town for a conference, and was very excited to come and check out this hotel as I've heard great things about it. Upon my arrival, I went to the valet to drop my car off and ask for a dolly thing to bring the boxes in my car over to the conference exhibit hall. The valet man that greeted me was immediately rude and off putting telling me I couldn't use the dolly and that he didn't know where the conference was/exhibit hall was and I had to figure it out. He was absolutely no help and extremely rude for no reason. He eventually got the dolly and helped me find the conference (he found it immediately). The rest of the valet men were very nice and efficient. The valet line is like a chik fil a drive thru, very efficient and fast moving. The actual hotel was stunning. The bathrooms and lobby and rooms were beautiful. The pool and beach are were very nice as well. It's a beautiful hotel, that gives luxurious vibes. I had both food at the conference and food from room service/the lobby bar. The conference food was not that great. Some of it was good, while some of it was stale and had mold in it. That's unbelievable for a ritz Carlton. And like I mentioned previously, we had ordered some food from the lobby bar and told them about the tree nut allergy and a shrimp allergy for someone else. When they brought the food they told me to avoid one of the meals due to possible cross contamination, which I did. I took one bite of all the 3 other dishes brought and immediately had a reaction and had to run to the souvenir shop and buy Benadryl. This is extremely dangerous. Thank god I didn't have an anaphylactic reaction and need to call 911.

But then why would you change something at a place this perfect! It is a private area which has it's own little harbor and is well taken care off. Surf Colony 3 is surrounded by water and mangroves. We watch dolphins every morning chasing fish or playing around. ( but you often also spot manatees, sting rays and more) Surf Colony 3 has a big pool ( which is charred with Surf Colony 2) which has a great view of the Delanor National Park ( as the whole building has). However the pool area is accessible to anyone in this area as you do not need a key or anything to get in! This is a big downside as we often see people from other houses coming over using the SC 3 pool. So there you have another idea for a little improvement! :-) The apartments in SC3 have a great layout/ floorplan(?!) - nice living room with open kitchen and then 2 bedrooms with bathrooms! Further from Surf Colony 3 you only walk 10 min to the most amazing Vanderbilt Beach. Never very full and one of the best beaches in the US if not the best! So: If u have the chance to come here - take it!

Thank god I don't know these people. Will say anything to appease you but won't do anything to communicate for their evolution. I felt I was talking to a colonizers child. It looked like a tub of fungal infection risk. He refunded my second night, thankfully. He offered housekeeping but this bathroom is beyond that. Didn't even wrinkle the sheets I stayed with a friend because if that's their bathroom standard I don't care if it "looks" clean I can't trust their sterilization process. Really, just Don't bother....... room and amenities look decent but it's truly only a commercial appeal here, it's not worth it.

Had stayed in many places on this trip and I've got to say that the most fancy and overflowing amenities don't always make you feel comfortable and happy. This place had the right balance. Immaculately kept up and tastefully landscaped and layed out in the cutest fashion, with the friendliest owner. Beautiful little courtyard and pool. It just made you feel comfortably happy.
