Offered water and a cocktail! Told me all the info I needed and made an excellent lunch suggestion. Gym nice and nice size (4 treadmills, 3 ellipticals, diff types of bikes, including a working recumbent bike. Lobby bar Amazing view from my room. Clean room Soft towels Cutest best makeup mirror! Great coffee shop in lobby Great restaurant on site (Ellie Mae's- separate review) Beautiful rooftop bar Amazing amount of hot water and amazingly hot. And I mean HOT water. Finally a hotel gets it right!! Valet fast and friendly. Cons l The gym is on the same floor as meeting rooms. (Didn't affect me but would suck if I had meetings at the time I wanted to workout.) Weird artwork placement - it's like they put up the art then added the furniture.

He is an outstanding bartender who consistently creates a welcoming and upbeat atmosphere. Felix is friendly, quick with a joke, and genuinely attentive. He remembers people, engages in real conversation and makes every visit feel personal. One can tell he takes pride in what he does. Whether the bar is busy or slow, he goes out of his way to make sure everyone is having a great experience. It's rare to find someone who blends skill, personality, and hospitality this well. If you stop by, make sure to sit at the bar and say hi to Felix. He sets the tone for the entire place.

Unfortunately I did not sleep a wink here, I am a super light sleeper and unfortunately the room next to ours had a couple of baritone guys that woke up at 4:30 in the morning ughhh...the beds were not the most comfy unfortunately either adding to a bit of my suffering as well. Giving it 4 stars. I unfortunately should have gotten some earplugs after the first night. I felt like they were talking to me since their convo was so close to our headboard. Owners seemed to go above and beyond so probably unfortunately just the loud guests we were next to combined with my light sleeping tendencies!!!

Independent establishment is well run and caters to all anticipated needs as part of your stay: beach chairs, beach umbrellas, a wagon to bring stuff to the beach, beach towels, some beach toys if you have kids, bikes, bike helmets and even sunscreen/bug spray if you need it! Rooms are neat and clean, ours wasn't spacious but we were outside most of the time. Each unit has an outdoor patio area with reasonable privacy, a table and two chairs. There are also other communal areas outside to relax, chat and read in the shade of the trees on the property. Would recommend this to anyone going to sanibel. Fantastic!

Let me start by saying the rooms were clean and the facility itself was nice. However, the…read morebreakfast service was extremely disappointing and poorly executed. The full breakfast setup was present, but there was effectively no usable bread for sandwiches. Instead of standard sandwich buns as shown in your brand diagrams, guests were left with only hard English muffins or crumbly drop biscuits that fall apart in your hands. This made it nearly impossible to assemble a proper breakfast sandwich, which is clearly what the eggs and toppings are intended for. The result was a breakfast that looked complete but functionally was not. I raised this issue directly with the General Manager. She smiled, listened, and placated me, but no changes were made. The exact same situation continued. I observed another guest express the same frustration and receive the same response. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or ensure guest satisfaction -- only acknowledgment without action. Because of this, I ultimately stopped eating breakfast there and chose to check out and stay at my home in Naples instead. My colleague also moved his stay to Marriott due to the same frustration. For context, I am a Lifetime Diamond member and stay at Home2 Suites properties very frequently. This location, unfortunately, does not reflect the standards I normally experience with your brand. The breakfast offering, as currently implemented, feels like a cost-cutting measure that undermines the entire guest experience. The rooms were fine. The service response was not. Leadership that listens but does nothing is not effective leadership, and breakfast quality that cannot be used as intended should be inspected and corrected. I wanted Hilton to be aware of this, as I do not believe this property is currently representing Home2 Suites at the level it should. Sincerely, Rob Lifetime Diamond

The room was spacious with a king bed. The suites all have nice sized kitchens with a full refrigerator and freezer. They are stocked with cutlery and chinaware, too. This is perfect for families. The bathroom has a large shower. I do miss the individual amenities that hotels used to have. This had the wall containers of shower gel, shampoo, and conditioner. Breakfast was included every day. My only quibble was that the "egg" options and sides were only luke warm and not really hot. One morning we used the waffle iron to heat everything up. But no one went hungry. We'd stay here again -- as it was comfortable and convenient.

Our week long vacation at the Pink Shell was an overwhelming success. It has been quite some time…read moresince I have stayed somewhere that truly values customer service and experience - Pink Shell exemplifies both. Every single employee we encountered acknowledged us, went out of their way to smile, and for those providing us service were kind, friendly and attentive (minus one - hostess at Rae's needs some guidance). I honestly was blown away by it - so refreshing in a world where this is no longer common. We did a kayaking tour with Ranger Rob and he is EXCELLENT! We saw dolphins and manatees in addition to a bunch of shore birds. It was tough paddling back against the current and across the channel but all in all it was a wonderful experience. Overall Pros: - Rooms all have an ocean view. We stayed in the Captiva building and had a huge screened in patio with two lounge chairs and a dining table with four chairs. - Rooms were spacious with a nicely appointed kitchenette, full fridge, living room and bedroom televisions, and large bathroom. - Rooms and resort were very clean, well maintained, and comfortable. - Pools and beach were very clean and spacious (there are three pools, one specific for adults 17+). - Daily breakfast was delicious! Omelette and eggs made to order, and an abundance of offerings in the hot stations (potatoes, eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, oatmeal, and fun waffles that my kids loved), as well as toast and pastries, cereal, fresh fruit, yogurt and more. - They give you a bag when you check in that was excellent to have for bringing things down to the pool / beach such as sunscreen, water, etc... - They also gave the kids a shell bag each and sunglasses. - We arrived on Valentine's Day and they handed me a beautiful pink rose that I put in a glass air water and it opened so beautifully and lasted the whole week in our room. - Bongos was good and convenient for lunch. Rae's food was delicious - so having two restaurants was a great perk. - Walk to downtown was about 0.75 miles and a nice way to walk off dinner. We used the free tram a few times too. Just a couple cons: - People save pool chairs regardless of the large signs that say not to. The signs also say that staff will remove towels that "don't have activity" but I never once saw that done. It was frustrating to come down to no chairs available for all three of us together or in any area near the pool / sun. You can reserve chairs at $50/pair online but that seemed like not a great use of money even with the frustration. I wish the resort would hold true to not allowing saved spots. - Breakfast can be loud. Not sure there is much to be done about it but the beeping of the omelet station didn't help with the already crowded room. - Coffee was just not great. I tried - the only way it was so so was to get it iced and add some chocolate milk. It seemed watery and just not a great taste. - The service at the pool was spotty - some days it seemed like there was a regular waitstaff walking around and others it was hard to find someone. The resort could make a lot more money in drinks and food by staffing the pools better. - The dryer in the shared laundry in Captiva (floor 7) was the worst dryer I've ever used. It took from 5pm to beyond 1am to wash and dry three loads of laundry. We hated to leave and look forward to going back.

The "Best" in Best Western Must Be a Joke…read more If you've ever wondered what it's like to check into a hotel that smells like a wet basement had a love child with a bottle of bleach, look no further than the Best Western Fort Myers Inn -- where comfort goes to die and "guest service" is just a rumor. We checked in after a 12-hour drive, dreaming of rest. Silly us! Rest is strictly forbidden here, especially on Sundays. If you value peace, privacy, or basic sanity, you'll love being forced to vacate your room mid-morning so housekeeping can "service" it -- whether you requested it or not. Apparently, your paid space is actually their space, and your plans mean nothing. Kids, homeschooling, fatigue... who cares? Let's talk atmosphere. The hotel smells unmistakably of black mold -- a sort of "Eau de Mildew" that greets you the moment you enter. The carpets? A masterpiece of filth. Take your shoes off for one minute and you'll find your feet magically transformed to charcoal. Who needs a spa treatment when the floor can exfoliate you for free? Now, the front desk staff... where do we begin? Imagine being helped by people who have the enthusiasm of DMV employees but without the knowledge, courtesy, or clue what their own policies are. Each question you ask is like a pop quiz they didn't study for. If intelligence were optional, they'd still be on a waiting list. To make it more exciting, they'll invent new "rules" just for you -- because consistency is overrated. Need to stay longer? Surprise! You'll be handed an undated piece of paper about "new policies" written on what looks like recycled printer paper, sprinkled with words like "Effective Immediately" and "Important Update." Totally official, right? And if you dare question them? Don't worry -- they'll handle it with the grace of a toddler denied candy. You'll be talked down to, pressured, and maybe even have the cops called if you use big scary words like "discrimination" or "policy clarification." In short, this place is a masterclass in how to lose loyal customers. Between the moldy air, filthy floors, clueless staff, and the bold new "We Can Kick You Out Anytime" policy, you'll leave refreshed -- by the realization that anywhere else on Earth would be better.
