Burritt Motors - Our New Building

Burritt Motors

I would strongly advise anyone to think twice before doing business with Burritt Motors Chevrolet…read morein Oswego, NY. Their labor rates are extremely high, and based on our experience, the quality of diagnosis and repair does not justify the cost, the techs shouldn't be part changers! Last year, my brother-in-law brought his vehicle in for a check engine light. He was quoted thousands of dollars for parts and labor and ended up taking out a loan to cover the repairs. After the work was completed, the check engine light came back on the very next day. When he returned, he was told it was a different code and that another part had failed, this time allegedly cracked, requiring nearly another $1,000 in repairs. At that point, he simply couldn't afford to proceed. Six months later, once he had the money, he returned to have the repair done. Despite already being quoted previously, the price of the part had somehow doubled. I was able to source the same OEM part directly from GM for roughly one-third of what they were charging. The manager stated he would waive the labor cost if my brother-in-law paid for the part. After the repair was completed, yet another code supposedly appeared, and they attempted to recommend an additional repair costing nearly $2,000. At that point, we realized that one of the components they were now referencing had already been replaced during the original repair. When this was brought to their attention, the issue suddenly "disappeared." To make matters worse, when it came time to pay, the final bill still reflected the inflated part price, despite the earlier agreement. I have personally only dealt with this dealership twice in nearly 20 years, and based on these experiences, I gladly drive 45+ minutes to another dealership rather than return here, and I urge you the same. Just seeing that there are quite a few others with the same kinds of complaints, I wonder when criminal charges will hit this place?

I hit one star to get this posted but I would have given a minus 5 that is how bad they are. Also at the end of of long lies and misleading stuff they have i was told to call them later ,,,, no you call the customer you know there is a problem and you cheated your customer so man up return the money and apologize to the customer.

If only the service department could live up to the positive experience I had when buying my car…read morehere. I'm painfully reminded on a regular basis that a competent service department is what really makes a new car purchase worthwhile. Based on my outrageous and repeated experiences at Fucilllo Kia in Clay, I should've just bought a used Toyota or Subaru. It's now been over 60 days since replacement interior parts were on hand at the dealership, and even longer since my car was damaged by the same dealer, thus requiring these parts. I've now spent the entire summer without GPS though I continue to pay for it on a monthly basis through my car payment. Unfortunately this appears to be business as usual at this service department which is "managed" by Adam Simon. To add insult to injury, the sunroof in my Stinger is again creaking and chattering after the service department told me it was removed, tightened, and reinstalled per Kia recommendations. The Cadenza loaner from the dealer with a panoramic sunroof doesn't make any noise whatsoever. Maybe it's an extra feature because I've paid $20K more for the Stinger? My understanding is that my case has been escalated by the corporate Kia Consumer Affairs department, but I can't tell because here I sit with nothing resolved and a dealer who appears to be engaging in passive aggressive tactics designed to cause frustration and avoid addressing these issues either effectively or at all. Best of all, most of the current issues were caused by dealer service technicians who were trying to enact a TSB repair of the audio system that came with bugs. I asked the dealer about a year ago to check the balancing on one of my wheels and was told they couldn't do so because of wheel locks. However, I've never used wheel locks on the car. When my interior was damaged during the recent TSB repair of the audio system, I was told it was the last job assigned to the tech before he left for employment elsewhere. I wouldn't let this service department change my oil, and I wish I didn't need to use them for warranty issues.

Had an appointment for an oil change and a system recall. Went in, waiting an hour and 30mins or…read moreso. After I leave my check engine light comes on, never had that issue before. Also had at Time before that I had gone in for an alignment, took them four times to complete it and it was still not done correctly. Had to go to pep boys to get it done right. I will never buy from or come back here for service again.
