The movie is nestled just inside the mall, but the theater is huge. They've got kiosks on the outside to purchase your tickets if you don't want to wait. From popcorn to candy or pretzels, they've got the counter where you can purchase that type of stuff as well as a soda machine behind the counter. They've got a few IMax theaters and all of the theaters are very large and the seats are great. I do recommend this theater. read more

My wife went to get me a beer and some candy and then the morons working the counter refused to serve her when she went back for herself. They never explained anything in the process and when I went back to ask what the deal was they refused to allow me to get her the drink she was trying to get for herself. What a f'ing mess. IMAX- Nope. No. Not. The entire audience lifted out of their seats when the sound blasted on at concert level, front of the speakers volume. Painful. When we asked if the volume could be adjusted, we were offered earplugs from a container that indicated this was a regular occurrence.. And told the manager was too busy serving popcorn to help us. Short: I wish they had better seats and a less confusing lobby with actual staff being there to help. Free refills on large soda and large popcorn only! Visited the week after V-Day 2023. Did I come here to watch Titanic in 3D? Maybe. Was it my choice? Not really.. SPOILER: it sinks in the end. Firstly, upon my arrival, there was NO ONE in the front checking or selling tickets. Mind you, this is a FRIDAY! Major movie day! [Beginning of Customer Service]: I come in, take a sharp turn, to then I manage to find a desk with an employee who already is helping someone else. He hastily scanned my mobile tickets and called over for someone to get me 3D glasses. He said the directions to the theater so quickly, that I forgot less than 3 seconds later. The employee who handed my friend and I, the 3D glasses were quick, and after being prompted, was a bit steadier to show and say the directions to our movie. [Food & Drink]: The employees (all 4 of them) were super quick and very prompt. Good service there. I don't have to tell you, that drinks and popcorn are a rip-off at the theater. Always plan the budget ahead of time. Side note: I tried finding the cost of a large popcorn on Regal's website. It is a disaster, I found it 4 webpages later. Large popcorn: $9.99 [yes $10, my movie going friends] Large Soda : was about $7 [yes it is big but..] Plus side, FREE REFILLS! on large soda and popcorn ONLY! [Seats & comfortability]: I have qualms with the seats.. They are stadium seating, and they REALLY mean it. They don't lounge back, maybe a little bit, but it does not stay. Almost like you're just rocking back and forth in an uncomfortable office chair. They also don't stay down, meaning I tried to put my jacket and purse, it flipped the chair back closed. I will say the entire area did look super clean! [Overall] I can see how others enjoy it, especially with "Regal Unlimited" benefits. However, instead of the free refills, I rather get the lounge chairs. read more

I hadn't gone here in a LONG time because we frequent Cinemark. We decided to come here because we were already in the area and there was an upcoming showing of what we wanted to see. We were first confused because there was not anybody working at the ticket counter. Then we learned that we need to buy tickets at concessions... weird. The concessions were very sad. Popcorn was not hot, the candy selection was SO bad. Twizzlers, some weird type of coke flavored gummy candy, and chocolate covered raisins were the only options. The seats are very dated and close together. I had 2 kids under 3 with me and the seats kept folding onto them so I spend most of the time holding down their seats. Needless to say we probably won't be back unless major changes are made. read more

Comfy chairs as long as you aren't in the first five rows, clean enough, prices are standard, bathrooms are clean, I'd say bring in your own beverages and do not buy the alcohol, it's not worth it. But the sound and the screens are great, and when the online buying process glitched and took our money but produced no proof of ticket, the guy at the front said it happens all the time and fixed us right up. Folks are always friendly and as long as you care more about the movie you're seeing than your lobby experience (which is why I'm there), solid all around. read more

My least favorite movie theater in Eugene. I go to the movies a lot, but I avoid Valley River, particularly for action films - they insist on turning the volume up painfully high. That aside, it's, well, a movie theater: the projection is fine, as is the concession stand. The seats are comfortable but do not recline (another minus, albeit a small one). There must be some customers who actually like having their eardrums shattered. Maybe have special showings for them, so that the rest of us can still hold a normal conversation after the movie is over. read more

It's been years since I've gone into the theater. I wasn't sure they'd survive covid. I'm glad they did. Nostalgia and memories linger here. The smell of popcorn and plenty of sweets. Hands down the best part are the employees. In this day and age it's refreshing to go into an establishment where the employees are helpful, kind, smiling and have the good nature to make you feel comfortable. This place does that. Shout out to Amarion. You can tell he's happy to be at work and his friendly attitude set the tone for a great evening. I'll be back! read more

I have Regal Unlimited and so I have been waiting for the theaters to open back up! I was a little hesitant about going but after reading Regal's cleaning standards, I felt comfortable enough to go. This specific Regal went above and beyond to keep things clean and do all they needed to do to keep everyone safe! They played classics for the first week of opening and so I got to see all of the Lord of the Rings in theaters! It was incredible! My friends and I also got to speak to the manager and he was very friendly! He told us *I believe* 32 of 38 employees got to stay through the quarantine, which I think speaks highly of his management being good! We hope they will show more classics, but we are just happy they are open again! read more

It has been about 5 years since in a theater but had to see Top Gun Maverick. Only 1 ticket machine working, no humans to help Went to early show so got in for $7.50 being a senior. Only 5 or so in the theater. Too many commercials at the beginning. Probably 20 mins. Even commercials about tv shows. Hardly any previews. Movie great to see on big screen. Volume good. read more

There is only one big theater in Eugene so lots of people go to Regal. I used to like this place BEFORE Covid. They still do their so-called unlimited movies has, but they don't have a lot of new movies. Then when they get a really good one in, they say that it is not covered on the unlimited pass, conveniently they want to charge you the same price as it is for a month of the pass to see one movie. Do not call it an unlimited pass if it is not unlimited. Charging an up charge for IMAX is one thing, but everything else should be included. When you sign up for the pass, it doesn't say anything about some movies are not included. If you are going to restrict people, at least go back to how it was during Covid when people you don't know couldnt sit right next to you. read more

Wow. This theatre is amazing. Very clean and comfortable seats. We went to see " quiet "The Quiet Place". scary for me. Even though most of the movie was in silence it was still very suspenseful and when there were sound the speaker quality were good. Lots of food and popcorn choices as well they have the Cheetos popcorn which were tasty as well as a large variety of M&Ms. I pretty much bought all types of M&Ms. They also have beer and wine to choose from. I chose the large icee but maybe I should've gotten some wine to calm me throughout the movie. Anyways nice theatre, plenty of parking, and lots of alcohol to choose from. read more

Maybe this is just a review of the movie experience in general these days, maybe it's this theater in particular, I can't really tell. I haven't been to the theater in so long maybe Ive just gotten too spoiled to being at home? Totally unaffordable for a family of four, not even at the imax or anything. I have no idea how people go to the movies all the time with how much it costs. But we went anyway. The ads and previews lasted about 45 minutes and were all terrible and my ears were worn out by movie time. Everything was so loud I wished we all had ear protection. Every Tuesday Regal Cinema offers $5 ticket admission with a Regal Membership Card. Since we have learned this my husband and I have a movie date every Tuesday. This is the only time we will visit this theater to see a movie. The theater isn't as busy so there is less people around which means less opportunity for someone being on their phone, being loud talking to their neighbor or opening a candy, or for the worst offense, bringing a baby into the screening. Sometimes, if we are lucky, we get the entire theater to ourselves. With the regal membership card you can also earn points towards free items at the snack bar. The seating can get a bit uncomfortable at times because they don't really incline. read more

Just got done seeing Captain Marvel and when I got up to leave I noticed my pants were pretty damp. I knew I hadn't soiled myself, so I guess I sat in some liquid that Regals ushers either left or neglected to clean. Whoever cleaned theater 9, Sunday March 10th, 3:50 PM needs to get a stern talking to. Until that happens, I will not revisit. Update: The liquid turned out to be pee, so I freaking sat in pee during the entire movie. Some kid or something peed in my freaking movie seat and I SAT IN IT FOR 2 HOURS. Don't go to Regal unless you want to sit in a puddle of piss. read more

I have always preferred this theater to the Cinemark at Gateway Mall. It's more relaxing and comfortable. The staff is always friendly. The concession employees try to up sell everything, but that's what they are trained to do. But they're never rude if you don't go for it either. The theaters and bathrooms are always clean, which amazes me. I have yet to find a dirty bathroom. My husband and I had to wait in a long line for the movie we were seeing, Deadpool. We had tickets we bought online, so the ticket person had to scan some sort of barcode on my husband's phone. She did so pretty quickly, and then explained where the line was and directed us. She was both kind and efficient. The one thing I didn't like is that the concession line was huge last night! So we didn't get anything, because my husband would be late for the movie starting. No popcorn for you! The theater at Gateway does have two concession stands open during busy times. Which would've come in handy on a Friday night right after a new movie is released. It's still my preference to go for movies, because it's more comfortable and there's good restaurants close by. So it's perfect for a date night or dinner and a movie. read more

Horrible experience from the start! Save your money and go to another theater. Management does not care about their customers. Had an issue last week when going to to this theater and was basically told thank you for letting us know hope to see you again. No concern in fixing the issue at hand. Went to the movies for the first time since Covid closed everything. No one in front to purchase tickets so we used kiosk, all three did not work properly. Touch screen non responsive. Then when we finally got it to work payment was not being accepted. Went inside and the group of employees standing at the ticket stand told me to use my phone which cost additional fee to purchase online I said I didn't want to do that and was told I could buy tickets at concessions stand. Go there finally get tickets. Order soda, popcorn and candy out of the candy we wanted and what they had was expired. Popcorn was stale and crumbs. Definitely not worth the money we spent! Theater is old, seats are nothing special. You can spend the same price or less for an updated theater with reclining seats. With the response we got from management after our experience we will not be returning and make sure we let our friends and family know not to go here either. read more

I cried tears of excitement at the Star Wars Episode IX trailer. Sound system is poppin, they got all the newest movies, and the seats don't smell like sweaty people. Pretty decent prices for popcorn for a theater, and overall a good experience. Tickets aren't too bad, either. So excited for Rise of Skywalker to come out holy moly. I'm getting goosebumps. I was a Diamond Crown Club Member until I came here to see a movie in IMAX. There was a loud older couple seated behind us. I won't get into what they were doing because it doesn't really matter, but I'll just say that besides talking at full volume asking what was going on, they were also stomping on a tray of nachos, and I'm fairly sure the guy filled his Depends. I and several other people asked them to quiet down, but they didn't and continued talking, stomping, laughing, snoring, and doing who knows what back there. I went out to ask someone to speak to them and the ticket taker was the only person I could find. I asked if he could have someone talk to these people and have them quiet down. He said someone would be in in just a moment. Another third of the movie went by and no one had come in. I went out to talk to the ticket taker again and he apologized and said someone would be in soon. I went back to my seat and waited, but no one came. The movie ended and I asked to speak to a manager, who said that the ticket taker never said anything about someone needing assistance. He gave me two free regular movie tickets as compensation, even though I missed most of the IMAX movie I had gone to see. Why not compensate an IMAX movie? Or better yet, why not shut up these rude old entitled people who think it's okay to talk in movies so I don't end up wasting three hours of my life? This Regal sucks. I switched to the theater across town. Better seats, smaller theaters, and cheaper prices. read more

It's a good theater and definitely cheaper to see a movie here then what I am used to in LA. My only suggestion is that for a Friday or Saturday night they should have more than two people in the ticket booth area and definitely more than two people working concessions because that line was super long! Like unnecessary long. Stadium seating, comfortable seats that recline a decent amount. It's cool in the theater, but not too cold. If you're like me and tend to run a little cold bring a thicker jacket or sweatshirt, otherwise you should be fine. This theater is at the mall so depending on the day (and the weather) parking can be a little tricky, but be patient, a good spot always becomes available. read more

This theater has a lot going for it. The movie selection is decent, the concessions stand has a great selection of food & drinks, and the seats are relatively comfortable. The people that work there are generally friendly and the bathrooms tend to be surprisingly clean. There are few things I noticed the last couple times that we've gone that could use improvement. The floors tend to be a mess of popcorn which can be a hazard for someone walking with a cane (you get one of the pieces of popcorn under your cane on a tile surface and you are going down). Also, I've noticed more than once that they crank up the heat towards the end of the movie. The first time I thought it was just me. After it happened two more times I realized it wasn't just me. Unfortunately I couldn't peel off enough layers to get comfortable again. I've never been to a theater that does that, but that's a clever way to get people out of the theater after the movie. Next time maybe I'll wear a bikini underneath. Or maybe wait until summer when they stop using the heat altogether. read more

If you're going to a show that will require a line-up before entering the theatre, their procedure is awkward to say the least. They don't have much room to work with, very poorly planned out floor plan for such an expensive addition to the mall. I can't stand their prices, I can't stand their poorly manned concessions (yeah I do pay that price for goodies at the movies, I understand the mark-up is necessary and deal with it), I dislike that they've added stuff to their menu that you order and they bring to you in the house. I'd rather just stand at the end of the frigging counter and wait for you to heat up the pizza, thanks though. They have someone walk through to check the sound quality (I think that's why at least) with a light stick. Who thought that was a good idea? You tell us that cell phone screens will disrupt our fellow patrons from their movie experience before a movie but why not have a Jedi checking the sound, sounds like someone didn't think that one out very well. I went back to try to experience their IMAX adventure but really I'll just take my grumpy self back across the highway where they don't overcharge or give me a panic attack with their poor decisions. read more

Racism? I went here Saturday at 11am. There were 2 lines open at the concession stand each had one person. I stood in the one on the left. When it was my turn Girl 1 says she will be right back and starts making Pizza and Hotdog for Girl 2. Meanwhile Girl 2 has a line of about 20 people waiting and is serving them. So now, both girls are serving Line 2 and nobody is taking my order. After 15 minutes of waiting, I ask Girl 2 if she would take my order because I had been there before all the customers serving. She said no that I was not in her line. I said "But nobody is serving Line 1" and I have been waiting patiently. I went to the manager to let her know what happened. Manager says "Girl 1 is making PIzza". I said "I can see that. But I did not order Pizza, I ordered popcorn". Manager radios the girls and asks them to take my order. When I walk back Girl 1 who would not take my order, was serving the man who was after me. The minute I showed up, she turned her back to me again. So girl one grudgingly gives me popcorn. I hate to say there is racism involved but I see no other explanation. Nobody apologized for treating me that way or anything. Any guesses? I was the only non-caucasian there. read more

Saw Avengers End Game last night and was shocked at how expensive the tickets were and how dirty the theater was. On a weekend expected to break box office records, I understand there was a lot of activity. So wouldn't you have extra employees on hand? The amount of popcorn and trash all over the place, plus overflowing trash cans was gross. Considering the fact that everyone bought their tickets ahead of time online, meant fewer employees were needed up front selling tickets. Couldn't you have added more help for cleaning? Also I waited almost 10 minutes at concessions because there were only two people working. read more

I've seen plenty of movies here and the picture and sound quality is "A-OK." However, the last time I was here, the floor of the theatre was so sticky that my shoes stuck to the floor during the course of the movie, and when I walked away the soles of my shoes ripped half-way off. I'm only giving them a 1 star for the simple reason of affordability. They are now charging $15.95 a person and the concessions were astronomical in price. $6.95 for a medium drink. $7.50 for a small popcorn and for a small bag of candy is was $6.00 or mor. the only reason I paid was a promise I made to take my son to the movies. Between admissions 2 snacks a small popcorn and 2 candy items I spent $70. I will never go back their because of those prices. Ever again. How horrible to charge that much money. Last time I paid 12 bucks for a movie ticket was in Manhattan almost a decade ago. It seemed ridiculous back then but heck it was New York City. I never thought I'd ever be paying those kind of prices back home in Eugene. Live and learn, the free market catches up to you no matter where you live. Comfortable large new theater. Nice screens, spacious seating, great sound, no sound 'overflow' between theaters like some of the others in town. Cons: The concessions. When they served iced coffee I went here a lot, because that's something that really seems to be lacking in most theaters. Unfortunately, they stopped serving it. I really wish they bring it back! All their candy is the usual overpriced movie candy with boxes that are only 20% full. Why cant a big theater offer some unique stuff for a change? Maybe scoop-candy where you can just fill a bag with whatever you want and pay by weight, like many European cinemas? Bring back the iced coffee too, which doesn't take a whole barista set-up just come kind of coffee mix to dump in slushy machines! I just don't get why theaters like this make no effort to distinguish themselves. I'd feel better paying so much for concessions if they had unique choices. Word of advice to customers: There's a machine to the left of the entrance where you can buy tickets with a credit card. Takes about ten seconds. I really don't get why there are always long lines here with the machine completely free. Are people that scared of trying something new?
