We went to watch the new Star Wars movie. The movie was just okay but that is not what I wanted to let ya'll know. First of all, we had to sit through 1/2 hour of mostly ads. The most shocking and disturbing was the War/military propaganda ad. Trumps voice was the narrator which was very disturbing too. We wanted a lighthearted night to forget all about the troubles in the world right now. That is not what we got. Also, the volume was turned up so high that we couldn't enjoy ourselves at first and then the freezing air temperature was making me want to run for an exit. I realize it was 90 outside but we shouldn't have to bring our winter coats to watch a movie. Stay home, save your money and just rent a movie. The snacks will be much cheaper too. read more

I think I understand why people give this a 5 star experience because of ads and tons of previews. But if I'm only reviewing the theater itself it's a prime experience. The seats are huge and have great reclining. Also there is a wall between each row so you don't have to see the jokers around you lighting up the area with their cell phone. Reclining lounge chairs? What? I haven't been to the theater since covid messed up everything. The Mrs wanted to see a certain show, so there we are. I tried this online ticket purchase thing on the phone (gawd I hate this electronic payment stuff) and I had to choose seats. Well that went easier than I thought, who would refuse to accept my money right? I'm told they will email me my tickets. I don't do email. I gave that up for personal communication, but there was a QR code thing that popped up on my phone. Reluctantly I went with that. Well to my disbelief it all went off without a hitch. We showed up early and got in line for popcorn and stuff. The line moved along quite well and efficiently. A pleasant young man promptly got our popcorn and drinks and was very pleasant about it. Then we went to find our check-in and the 'ticket master' was waiting... I showed him this QR thing on my phone and he said it was good. Scanned it, directed us to the theater and wished us well. Huh, how about that, it worked. We were early and the crew were just finishing cleaning up from the last viewing. Then we found our 'reserved' seats and holy cow! These things were actually plush, soft, large reclining chairs!! Omigawd they actually improved the theater experience and stopped packing us in like cattle! Well! I just might go back and catch another flick seeing as how this event worked out so well. read more

They advertise a movie starts at 9:30pm but then you have to sit through 30 minutes of previews and commercials. The movie did not start until 10pm. Don't come to the movie until at least 20 minutes after start time, or stay at home and watch a movie at your leisure. read more

Compared to other theaters i've been to in other cities this is the cheapest so i'll cut it some slack but The reclining seats in only go back like 3 inches so you're still awkwardly sitting up just leaned back a bit , i miss seats that you feel like you're actually laying down in On the bright side this is because there's walls between every section, so you're not going to have anyone kicking your chair, or get interrupted by someone walking past (if there's even enough people) Also in the weirdest location ever i didn't have the easiest time finding it. I like this theatre. Seats recline and they are private so I enjoy the movie. I also like the option of ordering food to bring to your seat, which is a nice convenience. I saw Totoro here today and it was my first time in a movie theater since before the pandemic. It looked like it had been remodeled and the hallways outside the main theater area are either still under renovation or it's just torn apart and staying torn apart. It looks pretty dumpy if you aren't in the theater proper. The theaters themselves are nice. The seats are big and comfy and have power reclining. The motor is pretty loud so when people recline their seats during the movie it can be annoying. The seats were mostly clean but mine was sticky under the armrest, so I couldn't raise the armrest to sit closer to my partner. The sound is clear but incredibly loud, as someone who is autistic I wish I had brought my Loops with me because it was very overstimulating. The insulation isn't great, we could hear the movie (Wicked) next to us so clearly that I could tell where they were at in the story. We didn't get any concessions or visit the bathroom so I can't comment on that. I was able to bring my own full water bottle in without any issues, and my friends brought their own snacks in just fine. The one employee I interacted with was nice and directed us to the right theater easily. While movie theaters aren't my thing because of my sensory issues, this one is definitely better than most. I think if I had my Loops with me I would have come out feeling much better than I do right now. read more

This is the best movie theater in the area in my opinion. They have the fully reclining seats, and serve food treats and beers. They also are located in a spot with some great food options around. The Cinemark reward system is great too and gets you free food and movie tickets. I always choose to make my movie outings here. read more

I went to ho see The Sound of Freedom if you haven't got the chance to go see it, it's well worth it. It's so sad that child trafficking is going on and people turn a blind eye and don't even acknowledge that it's going on. What can I say about Cinenark 17? The chairs are extremely comfy, the staff is nice and the snack bar is over priced. Yup, everything you expect from a movie theater. This is our go-to movie location, way better then Regal. But, be prepared, just like all other theaters, the snack bar is crazy expensive. Oh, they do serve beer BTW, but it's like 10 bucks for a cup. (had to do it once just to say I drank a beer at the theater) All in all, this is the best theater in town and one of the best I have ever been too... Cinemark is our go to movie theater in town. We love a $7 matinee, their spacious recliners, and I really don't think their concession prices are bad either (we got a medium popcorn, medium soda, and medium icee today for about $17). I always use their app to purchase tickets ahead of time which is convenient and easy. You also used to be able to order food and drinks straight from the app to your seat, but as Covid restrictions loosen, I'm not 100% sure if this is still being offered--didn't seem to be working today, but the app was being weird so that might explain it. Parking here is also always a breeze since you can access the theater from both ends of the shopping center (I'd say there's usually more spots on the back end since there's less stores on that side). Overall, we've always had positive experiences here and will continue to come. read more

As a long time Regal fan, I think Cinemark might be even better. First of all, they still have Coke products which is very important to me. Second, their seats are plush, large, and have an adjustable foot rest. Plus, they have a lot more food options and are over all much cheaper. I am now a Cinemark girl. read more

We came for the Elite Grinch o Rama Event last year & have been steadfast fans ever since. Happy to pay for advanced seat selection bc we roll with some elderly movie buffs who need the aisle seat on a lower level- critical. Also, the beer is super cold, even when we don't go for the super sized ONE FREE REFILL POPCORN!!! Yay Cinemark! Bathrooms are a little far from some of the theatres & No nutritional yeast for popcorn so we're only doing four stars but hey, it's still great. read more

I like this theater. It's been around for quite a number of years, and it's not too bad. I prefer the one at VRC, but I've got 47 free movie passes from work for this theater, so this is where I typically end up going. The employees are pretty nice. They don't try to upsell the concessions too hard, and that is nice. They just take your order and give you what you've asked for. I don't pay much attention to prices on tickets, as I usually have the free passes. I know it's cheaper than VRC, but I have no idea by how much. The theater is always clean, and that is nice. I appreciate that for sure. It is also closer to home for me, being less than 2 miles. It is definitely less crowded than VRC as well. I am really impressed by the fact that they keep it so clean. The thing I don't like is that you can't use the free passes for brand new films. My husband went to get Star Wars tickets and they wouldn't let him use his free passes for like a month after the release. I don't know if that's Cinemark's policy or has something to do with the film company/producers or what. But I find that annoying. It's a pretty decent theater, and I have no real complaints, so it's a place we return to fairly often. The thing I dislike is there is no real great restaurants around this theater, so if I'm doing a dinner date and a movie with my husband, I have to eat someone else and then come to this theater, or pay a higher price at VRC. read more

This is an older movie theatre that needs some renovation. I love the reclining seats, but the restrooms and lobby/concession area were sorely in need of a facelift. The concession stand workers were extremely slow, although when they got to me were friendly and polite. Why you got to treat me so good? Seriously discount Tuesdays is probably one of the greatest things I e discovered in recent history...not really, but pretty close. I mean $5 to see a movie in there awesome reclining chairs, that are so comfortable it's hard to not feel at home, sign me up. All I need is snacks and I'm set. The concession stand is limited to your typical movie theatre, hotdogs, nachos, slushees, and candy, but let's be real a movie isn't complete without the buttery goodness of freshly popped popcorn. Just walking into the gate way the aroma of it fills the air, as is land on your olfactory bulbs triggering an instant desire for it crunchy goodness. Eat the popcorn, be the popcorn. One note, discount day does not include discounted concessions. All in all one of the nicer major movie theatre chains in the area, not that there are many to choose from, definitely my preferred choice of the Regal at valley River. I would avoid this theater for now. While it is normally a nice theater they a currently operating without CO2 due to a dispute with their vender, so no soft drinks. Also when we inquired why our popcorn was very odd tasting, almost stale in flavor they replied that they had switched brands and it was different. I live closer to VRC, but typically drive to Cinemark to see movies. Theater is comfortable, and staff is nice. My fiancé prefers their popcorn. They always have a good deal with the weekly email coupon, and the prices of tickets and concessions are better than Regal at VRC. I wish they offered drink refills , we rarely, if ever, use the popcorn refill, but would use a drink refill. Either way, this is my theater of choice, even if VRC is nicer and in a nicer mall. read more

Wonderful theater. I was visiting my sister in Eugene and we decided to see two movies in one day. In the morning we saw Aladdin. The popcorn is yummy and the service was friendly and courteous. Cinemark is a great theatre. They have the best seats (recliners) which you reserve when you buy your tickets (online, app, or at theatre) so there isn't any standing around trying to find seats after the movie has already started. Also there is ample room to walk down each isle even with the seats fully reclined. The surround sound is incredible and ties in nicely with the super large screens & hi-def movies. The volume fills each theatre perfectly, yet I've never heard the sound from a connected theatre passing through the walls. It's nice and dark during the movie, yet each walkway/stairs are lit enough for safe & easy walking. The concession & movie prices are lower than Regal. The popcorn is fresh & tasty. They have an app that allows you to earn points and discounts for each ticket & concession purchased. I def recommend Cinemark Theatres. read more

I love this theater for it's reclining chairs and that we can put our feet up and be comfortable while watching the movie. The only complaint I have is that we drove from Coos Bay which is about 2 1/2 hours away after reserving 7 seats for myself and family, paid online the day before the show, and when we got there they could not find out reservation and for some reason Cinemark took the money out of my account but didn't send me a confirmation number or email. They did give us replacement tickets, but I had paid for the 3D version of the film, when we came back 2 weeks later(that was the soonest we were able to) they were no longer offering 3D and we had to sit in the second row. But, once we were actually able to get in to see the movie, it was good. The service was good, the theater was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed the movie. read more

I purchased two tickets about an hour before a show and reserved seats. When we entered the theater there was a family sitting in our assigned seats. I politely told them they had taken our seats and they responded that they had not and also somehow had the same seat numbers on their ticket. We just sat elsewhere but I find it annoying that our reserved seats weren't actually reserved. Popcorn was not fresh and the theater was very noisy. Don't bother reserving seats on Fandango, either they double book seats or people will be rude and not sit in their assigned seat. read more
