Enjoyed the cool music they had playing as we perused new and used books which filled every inch of this small-ish shop. They had every subject imaginable and many of the titles are facing outwards to give you a bit of a recommendation as you journey through the store in hopes finding the perfect book, or two, or ten. We got something new (popular bestseller) and something used (of the underground variety). Regardless of your preferred genre you will find something here to scratch your bibliophile itch. They also have a parking lot which makes getting in and out of the store easy and hassle free. Cant wait to come back the next time we're in town!

I looked around in the cafe area in the Eugene Public Library lobby. There was a small hidden door open and a small rack with books. I walked in, and wow, just books crammed in every possible spot on a large number of shelves. In the front are primarily children's books and some locally featured artwork on cards and bookmarks for sale. As you walk more, there's a variety of genres and even DVDs, Blu-Rays, and even some manga. It is worth walking in to find hidden treasures or books/media you didn't know you needed! The bookstore does have some specialty media and antiques/vintages. Unfortunately, I did not get a good view because of the worker fixing the chair, but it is in a locked glass case on the wall. I wasn't greeted, and there were 2 workers trying to fix an office chair, in the cramped and small bookstore. I believe it is run by volunteers. The checkout was relatively quick and easy. There is a set menu price for all media, and they accept cards (using Square) and cash. Overall, I would love to stop by again and find some more neat books. They are decently priced, especially when you find a book that is unique or one you might have had on your list for a while!

My sister and I went to the First Friday Art Walk a few days ago and stopped in since it was one of the major stops on the Walk. They have a wide range of art styles represented here; we saw painting, photography, jewelry, fiber arts, and more. The gallery extends invitations artists to be members of the gallery based upon their non-juried art exhibitions that happen twice per year. Whilst the First Friday Art Walk is one way they regularly welcome in the community, they also host a bunch of workshops. I was surprised to see how full their schedule is, and the cost of the workshops are incredibly reasonable--I think I even saw on that accepted donations on a sliding scale. Given its location downtown, it's very easy to visit via LTD or of course by car. There isn't dedicated parking but there's a city lot on the next block, as well as street parking.
