Terrible facility. Bathrooms are very filthy and small, and prone to teenagers hanging out. Concessions and maintenance staff extremely rude. The "comfortable" lounge chairs are actually very uncomfortable - the headrest forces you head forward and causes shoulder fatigue. They actually closed off half the parking structure so you take your life in your hands trying to park - and there is no effective public transportation. Awful experience. Go to Alamo. Hmmm visited on a Sunday afternoon for a showing at 1:20pm. Theater was super empty. The theater is old, no frills and no thrills. The seats are old, dusty & dirty looking. Sound in theater 7 wasn't the best as I heard sounds coming from the next theater. Concession was ok I guess, I got nachos and cheese (nachos were already out of the bag which I wasn't crazy about) & a slushee. Came to warch Bullet Train in theathers. The theather itself was nice and clean especially on a Thursday night where it was empty. The theater i entered only had 5 other people watching the movie. I love it when the theather is empty. It makes my movie experience better knowing that everyone will be fully minding their own business. When coming to the theater i was a little late for the movie which started ag 7:15 (really 7:25ish after previews) i arrived at around 7:30 but the ticket employees allowed me to purchase the ticket even after their 10 min wait rule. That was so nice of them and they made sure i was all good before walking inside. Overall the experience was very nice read more

I always enjoy my visits. Food/snacks good. Bathroom and theaters clean. Staff always friendly. I had some pretty good deals at concession stand because I go often and accumulate points. I love the seating. I have one minor complaint. I was there with my husband and 2 children for early screening of wicked 2 on 11/17 at 10pm. It was around 9:55 and I asked a staff member if I had time to purchase snacks he said sure you have around 20 min before it starts. We were next on line. I ordered for everyone including the special pink and green wicked drinks. By the time my order was done and I went inside it had started! I never miss the beginning of a movie . Anyway I wanted to speak to the manager but I didn't want the young man to get into trouble. I should have cancelled those special drinks but I guess I will have to return again to see the beginning. I am a fellow Brooklynite and this is my first time visiting this theater. I must say I really enjoyed this theater and movie. I purchased mystery movie Monday tickets for $5 and saw the movie MISSING before it premieres in theaters in about 2 weeks. Movie time was 7pm and my husband and I got there around 6:30pm. We ordered a large popcorn (we had a free upgrade) a large water, Large Pepsi and a hot dog total was 26 and some change and I gave the remaining change to some sort of charity so my total was 27 (you know theaters and their food prices ). The theater was not to big which I enjoyed, clean, and there was a great crowd watching with us. I will definitely be back in the near future. My reason for 4 stars is because I had to wait over 20 minutes for my single hot dog. Next time I'll just time myself better read more

Last week, I went to see the Godzilla movie. Ordered some food and it took 20 minutes. The dude in the picture had a useless mesh cap on his head. He was constantly itching his scalp and touching the food. I was highly disgusted and he moves sooo slow that made it 100% worse !!!! read more

Man, this movie theatre has seen better days. It was relatively easy and quick to buy my ticket, but that's where it stopped being enjoyable. One of the two restrooms was closed, but the other open restroom had zero toilet paper. I checked every single stall before finding a crumpled tissue in a sweater pocket. I then went into the theatre, where 25 minutes of trailers played after the start time for the movie. Why do people come in late to movies? Because if they don't they're sitting through an unwanted Jeopardy episode of commercials. I had lots of time to enjoy the somewhat uncomfortable seats and flickering lights - yes, there was a very short, one second flicker every fifteen minutes or so: just enough to be really distracting - and weird, musty smell. The other patrons were loud--talking through the entire movie--which was annoying; I wasn't willing to get up and miss ten minutes of the movie to find a staff member, but with the other ambient downsides, I will not be returning. Ah the UA. I remember her well. I came ALLLL the way back in 1987 when they first opened. I was a kid. It was one of my major childhood theaters and the first time a big multiplex that could rival Sunrise Cinemas in Long Island came to our neck of the woods. The last time I came here before tonight was easily 20 years ago. I always thought it was tough to get to if you didn't have a car, but I actually was wrong about that. It is easily accessible from the B44, less accessible if you come by the Q train, but maybe you could walk it if you like long walks. It has become fancier in recent years. They upgraded with computerized machines, better arcade games, fancier menu. The place looked spotless. There is no marquee outside, so the front looks kinda dumpy. A lot of parking. The IMAX experience I saw was great. Superb sound and BIG screen, great sightlines. One issue was that every time someone got up in back of me, I felt it where I was sitting, so something is weird with the chairs. Bathrooms were clean. Staff polite. Will I be coming back? I don't know. I went on a weeknight and I have a feeling it gets crazier on the weekends. They also never tend to show any of the movies I want to see. You have to be a real fan of mainstream film to go to the UA. The area around it is very dead, with only a Dunkin, Cold Stone and TGIFridays and the Dunkin closes early. The old lobster place that was here has closed but supposedly a new one will be there soon. It doesn't have the ambiance of a Film Forum or Quad Cinema or Nitehawk, but the UA is ok in a pinch. It is more modern than the Kent, which I also reviewed here and which has its own charms. read more

Full Disclosure! I'm an AMC enthusiast, and that is my preferred theater. That being said, the Sheepshead Bay Regal theater is not terrible. No, the seats are NOT as comfortable as AMC, there was no legroom to speak of (and I'm hardly a giant at 5 ft. 3 in) and the pretzel bites and popcorn were barely warm. However, the theaters are always clean, the staff polite and the soda cold. Add to this the fact that there are several restaurants nearby if you want to have dinner and a movie and it's a solid 4 stars. read more

This movie theater is great. I go here all the time. The food is as good as movie theater food is but I enjoy it either way. The only thing is I wouldn't recommend arranging seats in the front row before the actual close up to the screen seats because some of those seats are considered wheelchair accessible seats. Meaning there's no chair there so if you're going on a busy busy night that means you won't have a seat and exchanging seats is extremely difficult but otherwise everything else is great read more

I have been going to this theatre for over 20 years. Always clean, featuring the latest movies and great theatre tech and seating.

Whenever I want to watch a movie that just released into theaters, I usually weigh my circumstances if it's inconvenient to travel to a further theater. It's not that the extremely close proximity to home isn't enticing to me. It really is the best theater around South Brooklyn. It's just everything else about it that makes it a 1 star theater. Want popcorn? There are generally only 2-3 workers back there. If you're there on line during an opening weekend, expect to wait in line for over half an hour. The theater rooms themselves are in desperate need of a deep cleaning. There were smells whenever I sat down in the seats. The worst I could ever imagine happening during a movie showing happened this past year. During Black Panther 2, the projector turned off while only the audio was being played and when the staff was notified of it, they took over 15 minutes to resolve the issue while the audio was being played, everybody was in an uproar and it felt like a very uncomfortable hectic situation to be in. Even after they "fixed" the problem, they didn't realize they had SKIPPED forward too far and we were basically getting spoiled hard without seeing what had happened 5 minutes prior during an important scene in the movie. read more

Nothing special. Just a theater but a big pro (and the reason for the 4 star) is that this place has free a parking lot. The self kiosks made it super easy to buy tickets and reserve seats. The cost of treats like popcorn and candy are obviously overpriced...but we all knew that. Theater itself "felt" clean with seats that recline just a tad bit. I have seen many movies over the years at this theater. Yesterday in fact I went to the Friday matinee to see Green Book (great movie by the way!). Seating here is comfortable and assigned which I surmise is to help them to both not oversell the theater and to catch people trying to see two movies on one ticket! The screens are sufficiently large and the sound system is fine. Also they keep the theater quite clean though the men's room needed some water on the floor mopped. As at all theaters, the concessions are marked up a gazillion percent though I was able to use 6000 of my Regal Theaters card credits to buy a large bucket of popcorn for $2! Since I go to movies at off hours, I don't know how fast lines move when they are crowded, but during the day everyone is friendly and relaxed. One thing I have never understand is why they don't have an easy to read marquis with the name of the theater or at least a large sign posted outside...instead you have to know that the theater is located across the street from the lobster place and next to the big parking lot! read more

One of my favorite theaters due to the convenience of the location. I remember when I use to go to Alpine (Bay Ridge) which is this very small movie theater and this was like the next level. I remember when I was younger I would spend almost 1 hour taking the train to bus just to come here with my friends. I think there isn't much I can't complaint about. Typically Regal theater, I would say it's decent, not extremely extremely clean but it is without any complain any major problem. They would have most of the recent movies and good amount of movie times. My favorite location when I'm in Brooklyn. Huge theater with plenty of parking on multiple levels. Lines are slow moving on high volume days. I went on the Lion King premier day so I expected to wait. Prices are a bit high but I think that's just society right now. Manager and officer standing at the front to greet patrons. Staff is courteous and professional. Facilities are clean (especially bathroom). Any trash you see is from messy patrons. Even though it was a kids/ family movie it was super quiet and just a great experience. No screaming and hollering. Very well behaved audience. I can appreciate that. Cold Stone across the street made the whole thing a bit sweeter. read more

They are checking for vaccine cards and cleaning up the theater. It's nice to know the chairs aren't sticky anymore. I just feel people need to clean up their own trash. This is my 2nd Visit to this location and I'm very satisfied. I deducted one star for the tight parking lot nightmare and the fact there are no assigned seats that recline. I first visited this location while on a blind date during summer and loved how convenient this is located right off the Belt Parkway. The seats were not as modern as the AMC theatres, however, they were comfortable and the theatre was clean. This location attracts a lot of folks from all over, so when a popular release is showing, you can bet your money that there will be crowds and you need to allow yourself at least 45 minutes ahead of the start time of the movie to pick up tickets, hit the concession stands and get your pick of the seats. The concession stand here offers a wide variety of treats for your dining pleasure. Hamburgers, pretzels, Boneless Wings, Fries, sandwiches, pizza. PIG OUT. Today, I saw FENCES starring Denzel Washington and Hidden Figures starring Janelle Monet and Taraji P. Henson. Fences was packed for a 1:00 p.m showing but it was MLK Day and everyone was off. I must say it warmed my heart to be seated with people of both races during both movies. The love was felt. To think, years ago, movie theaters were segregated. Fences was shown in a much smaller theatre than Hidden Figures. Even though we were on time, we still had to sit in the nosebleed section to view the picture. Hidden Figures was shown in a stadium theater. More seats than the smaller theaters. The crowds were really packing the stadium for this movie. The key here to a good time, is allow yourself enough time to park, pay, get your grub and find a good seat. At least 45 minutes before showtime. read more

I hold my head as I prepare to write this review. The last time I came to this theater I took my son to see Sonic earlier this year. So my brother and I decided to go see the movie Smile since we are in October and it is spooky season. We drove out there and purchased our tickets went to order nachos which they had none of so we settled for mini corn dogs with nacho cheese on the side with a small drink. We then headed to the theater and upon entering you can smell that old wet carpet scent it was atrocious smh. We then started to look for our seats which we found with ease sat down and realized it was not cleaned because the floor was dirty and sticky.....that was strike two. As we sat through the previews which I enjoy watching the movie then begin. Unfortunately I was not able to enjoy the movie although I see that it is a good movie reason being is because the crowd was loud and obnoxious. There should be no reason you spend your money to watch a movie which is not cheap to hear everybody in the movie theater (young adults) talking about what they're wearing to a party or what are they going to eat the next day while the movie is playing. I was highly upset that I couldn't get that scare factor during a horror movie which I look forward to because of all the unnecessary talking that was going on in there. If you are like me no matter your age and you want to enjoy your movie and actually get that feeling on what ever movie you are watching at the time......GO ELSEWHERE. And I also I want to put out there that this movie theater needs a good renovation from top to bottom, It's time for a change. Until then I will go elsewhere. read more

This is the closest movie theater to me and probably the worst in Brooklyn .When it comes down some of their hires but that's not my big issue. ; my issue is that my sister and I came to the movies to watch a moving showing at 5. We got to the movies a bit earlier and when we came in it's completely a mess . Drinks , popcorn just trash all over this theater. Theater 2 if your wondering . Now we got there about 4:30 so I was thinking that maybe they will come and clean up in a few minutes . NOPE . My sister had to ask someone to come and clean and when he came in he was shock himself to see how it looks. Still no one came to clean so basically paid to sit in this mess of a theater . Highly disappointed that no one came in to try to clean anything . Will not recommend anyone to come and pay to sit in this place . read more

What are people complaining about? When you come to a movie theater, chances are there will be very long lines, extremely incompetent employees, obnoxious moviegoers and filthy bathrooms and/or other areas. This is NY. If you can't deal with that, you should probably just stay home. Other than that, this theater is perfectly fine. The seats are just as comfortable as any other UA/Regal theaters, the popcorn is just as excellent as any other UA/Regal theaters, and everything else is just about the same quality as most of the good UA/Regal theaters around NY. If for some reason I'm way out in Sheepshead Bay, I'll definitely be back to enjoy a movie in this theater. read more

Wish I could give them negative stars for this review. Time after time during a premiere weekend this movie theater never has any of the hot food options readily available. I am rather familiar with waiting on long lines just to hit the snack bar. But actually getting to the front of the line after a 10+ min wait to then be told "oh there's not hot food being served right now, the wait would be xx mins". Why would I wait for food when my movie is set to start in x mins... Premieres I have been to with no hot food readily available: Black Panther Hobbs & Shaw Uncut Gems Spiderman: Far From Home Captain Marvel Avengers: Infinity War the list is long... This always has be questioning why I go to this theater during a premiere weekend - why offer/advertise a whole menu of hot food and tell me its going to take another xx+ mins to get it??? To make matters worse, the employees are always moving lethargic and have lackluster attitudes. Literally we interact with you all for 10-15 mins then we are in a movie until we leave the theater. Put a smile on and be helpful... for all the attitude i'd rather deal with a kiosk that dispenses drinks and popcorn. But it seems like a trickle down effect from high level management. Employees are tired of customers getting at them for how the theater is poorly managed.
