The worst place ever the toilet smells like shit the place haven't been renovated from the 80s The movie almost finished. I went outside to ask him if you could give me a cup of soda. I told him I'll pay for it. He told me we don't do refill. I told him I don't want refill. I just I'll pay for it and then he said that I had to pay for popcorn and soda eight dollars because that's how it works. I told him I don't want popcorn. I don't want nothing I'll pay for the soda that's all I want. He argue with me and told me that's not how it works so I bought a soda for three dollars. I told them doesn't make sense. He told me it would never make sense to you fucking asshole piece of shit place.

Before my arrival i made sure to call and ask the last viewing of the Paw Patrol: The Mighty Movie. The representative who answered the phone was very informative and informed me the last movie would be at 9:30pm. He was very polite and well mannered. Once we arrived. One of the employees was outside smoking he try to tell the other employee who I was on the phone with prior to my arrival that the last movie is for 10pm. The guy knew I called prior so he ignored him and just quickly assisted my family and me. Big shout out to his professionalism and attentive service. The movie theater was very small and the seats where uncomfortable. Overall I satisfied my son enjoyed the movie and his popcorn paw patrol bucket. Restroom was very unsanitary and dirty.

Giving Kent Theatre 4 stars because of how cheap the movie tickets are(~$9). We went to go see "Us" in this theatre and bought our tickets out front by the booth. Although we had to wait behind the lines inside for the employees to clear out the theatre (only 3 in the entire place), I had no issues. The popcorn and nachos with cheese were super cheap and yummy. Taking off one star because inside the theatre smelled a little too much like febreeze / a bathroom after someone threw up. Would come again though, especially for a clean, cheap late night feature of a popular movie when I'm tired of paying $20 for a ticket in AMC/Regal.

There were many food trucks that seemed appetizing until you realize that the prices has been jacked up. $5 for a side of french fries? Not even on the hungriest day. Where was Korilla? Where was King Falafel and Shawarma? Missed opportunities... I would estimate about a good couple of thousand people that attended this year. They also had musical guests a couple of hours leading into the film program. Picnics, dates, and curious folks all around. Drinks anyone?

Coming from Queens, the trip is a bit of a pain in the ass, but if it's back next year, I will for sure be attending. A few things I will remember: 1. bring a sweatshirt and wear, in general, more comfortable clothes. 2. Go earlier in the day and bring more pillows because hanging out at Tropfest for the entire time would be super chill and fun, but without more pillows my butt will get sore. 3. bring more snacks and a small cooler of drinks. Even alcoholic drinks (although, being a public park, make sure to keep them covered in brown bags). 4. Get the Tropfest powers-that-be to have the event in Flushing Meadows Corona Park next time, because then I can stay for the whole event, rather than trek it out halfway through because the G train takes a million years to show up after 10 o'clock at night. Sorry Brooklyn, it's nothing personal.

I found these guys on Gig Master and really lucked out. https://www.gigmasters.com/brass-band/street-beat Jeff and the Street Beat Brass Band created the most memorable and joyous experience for our wedding party, guests, locals and tourists as they escorted us across the bridge and played for another hour at the wedding reception during cocktail hour. Jeff and his band were super-accommodating, discussing with us exactly what we wanted all within our budget. Moreover, having the Street Beat Brass Band as part of our celebration was, to us, what makes this great city of ours so unique and special--the delight on the faces of our wedding party, the NYPD, the Mr. Softee Ice Cream truck guy and all the people we encountered along the route over the bridge, in Dumbo and on the F and R train surpassed our expectations. Book these guys if you want to surprise and delight your guests at your next event and want to create a lasting impression.

Beware undergraduates bearing plays!…read more Brooklyn Center for the Performing Arts is part of Brooklyn College, and is located at the edge of its campus. Over the summer and sometimes even throughout school year, the venue hosts music and dance performances, some of which are very good. It also hosts high school graduations and, during the course of Brooklyn College's school year, showcases undergraduate and graduate theater department productions. Everything but the undergraduate productions takes place in the large and beautiful Gershwin Theater. It's built like a typical music theater, with three levels of seating and a big stage along the lines of Carnegie Hall. Acoustics of the place aren't as great as Carnegie Hall, but are very good nonetheless, and the prices are very comfortable. The entertainment is usually very good and unusual, with lots of ethnic selections and experimental productions. Graduate student productions are often surprisingly good, though you never know what you're going to get with those. The other part of the Center is called the New Workshop, and is used by theater department undergrads. I'm not even sure if a non-Brooklyn College student can get tickets to those - if not, then that's a blessing, because most undergrad productions are understandably uneven, with everyone from actors to lighting crew still learning the ropes.

But anywho, over the weekend I attended a concert held in the Whitman Building and it was almost amazing. Although it looks like a regular school building, the performances make up for what it lacks in looks. But I must add that whoever was in control of the lighting on saturday did a magnificent job. The auditorium was huge and seated atleast 300 people. The ushers were very nice and helpful. But they did look at me crazy when I asked if they had a bar. The woman said I hope you can enjoy the show without one...
