I am writing from my reclining seat at Santikos Cibolo which was less than a 10m drive from this theater. This theater is really outdated and dinghy. The staff were unhelpful. We walked in circles three times looking for the ticket kiosk. The person who was meant to give us 3d glasses let us walk past him two more times without addressing us. Once we sat down, I was bummed that the theaters lack recliners. The ancient seats were uncomfortable and dirty. Once the movie started, the speakers were only working on one side of the theater. Yvonne (manager) refunded our tickets (because none of the employees knew how). However, Yvonne rudely told me I was wrong about the sound and offered no apology for the poor overall experience; no leadership whatsoever from this person. I highly recommend Santikos Cibolo. The theater is modern, the sound works and our tickets, drinks and popcorn were several dollars less expensive. I don't see any reason to visit Regal Live Oak again. They don't do a single thing right. read more

Rachel at the ticket kiosk was very difficult upon entering the theater. I had the ticket QR code sent to me by my friend after she said I needed a QR code to get into the theater. She then told me that it couldn't be a screenshot and refused to let me into the theater until my friend showed up with the ticket on his iPhone wallet. Rachel scanned the QR code, handed us tickets and simply walked away. I had to follow her to ask her which direction the theater was and Rachel acted like I was inconveniencing her. She definitely made the first impression of this theater a poor one. Not only that, they also charged my friend a "charity donation" on his card without asking him after he purchased his popcorn. Very sloppy business, I hope management can improve at this location and employees can receive better training. Disappointed. read more

The Harry Potter popcorn bucket and tumbler set was scheduled to be available BEGINNING 8/23/25-8/31/25 along with the movies being played at 9 3/4 or $9.75.... After calling all week at all times to confirm how to politely pay for this promotion AND NEVER GETTING AN ANSWER. I went to the location yesterday 8/22/25 to speak to an attendant who stated, "those were released on Wednesday the 20th and we sold out that morning." So I waited to see what customer service had to say before I posted this. And before I start, this theater myself or my family will never attend again. The disrespect here is beyond unacceptable. It started on Christmas night. My family always go to the movies and this year is no different. We was excited to see the new Avatar. There was 10 people with me to go see this movie in 3D. Almost $300. (Keep in mind what we spent). Everyone had some kind of something to eat and a drink. The drink alone is $10 each. And a couple of us bought a movie souvenir which is $50 each. Theater is out dated with old seats. The movie that supposed to be in 3D. Was bad quality weather you had on the glasses or not the movie looked the same. As the movie started we all noticed how hot it was in the theater. So I went to find someone to inquire about the heat. I was told they will inform a manager. I returned to the movie. The movie is 3 hours of uncomfortable. 3 people left because it was to hot to enjoy the movie. After the movie I went to look for a manager to found out what was wrong a manager by the name of Candice came to my aid. As I was informing her of the situation. She begins to laugh in my face. I told her how rude that was. She proceeded to give me a blank expression and proceeded to say she is sorry that there is nothing she can do and walked away. I proceeded to write a review but then started to read other reviews and decided to email customer service like most responses for them say to do. So I did. After waiting 2 weeks for a response. They apologized, said i needed to send in my receipt (i did) someone from management would be in contact. And let me not forget 2 regular tickets for my troubles. Not even the 3D tickets I bought. Couple of weeks from that. No call from management, the supposed to be free tickets i never received. Bottom line this theater doesn't care what you write here. They will continue to laugh at you. I spent almost $500 for one night at the movies. And got an uncomfortable disrespectful low end movie experience. With empty promises. I have emailed customer service several times after this with no response. With experience like this I'll stay home and what for it to come out on Amazon. I can pay $25 one time and watch it again at home. At least I want have old chips, unseasoned food two day old popcorn out of a bag and watered down drinks. My advice go 10 more minutes down the street to EVO!!!!! Don't go here you or your money is not being respected. I can guarantee that nothing else will come of this. read more

This theater has been consistently present to showcase the latest and greatest movies to its community. It's an older venue that has gone through some reno's but does not carry all the bells, whistles, and services as some of its nearby competitors. That said I routinely come here if I want a peaceful experience to watch the latest blockbusters in peace and uncrowded setting. I purchased my tickets over the net, via fandango the day prior. There was an option to purchase directly through Regal, but for whatever reason their site wasn't available. I picked our seats, and received tickets to my email and phone. I confirmed my tickets at concessions. Devlin was patient, informative and provided great customer service with our popcorn and Icee drinks. Pepsi products at this location folks. The auditorium was clean, and the seats were comfy. I'll be coming back again, as I have since this location opened more than 15yrs now. read more

Came to see a movie with a friend and as we were sitting there eating and watching the movie the chair started moving next to my friend when we realized it was a mouse trying to get the popcorn. Later we moved down a couple seats and turns out mice were on the other side of me as well trying to eat the food on the other side too. They didn't do anything about it either. read more

The only things Live Oak has going for it is the fact that its a seven minute drive from my house and that due to it having so many screens, some movies stick around pretty long. 90% of the time I'm still going to make the 20-25 minute drive to the Huebner or Northwoods locations. Besides the other two boasting recliners, things just always run smoother. At Live Oak I know I have to get there 20 minutes before a film because the concession line is always running slow. I was in a 4 person line for 26 minutes a couple weeks ago and it literally felt like the blind leading the blind. I've gotten burnt popcorn and bags of straight crumbs before and when I've made my way back to concessions, been told they were going to charge for a refill or that I'd need to purchase a new bag, very disappointing.The clean up between screenings isn't the best, I've literally had a flat sucked off of my foot, stuck in a puddle of something sticky. Shudder. Live Oak really is a last resort for me, wish they'd go ahead and upgrade. read more

Then they don't even bother restarting the movie or nothing just resume from where it was. Like it's already bad enough that you can't enjoy a movie without coming early in the day to avoid the people that don't know how to be considerate and shut up. I can't not love this theater. After moving to the SA 'burbs over 10 years ago, this was THE place to see movies--meaning THE only place haha. But I can't help but love coming here to kick back and catch a flick. Sign up for Regal Rewards to earn prizes (though tbh it takes forever to earn enough!!!). This isn't the most glamorous theater but it gets the job done. There are many showings and multiple theater rooms. I don't think I've ever gone here and been told a show is sold out. Plus they have Cheetos popcorn and who can resist that??? The seats are comfortable, but I'll be the first to say that we've been spoiled with theaters that have reclining seats. Whenever I come here, I'm reminded of going to the movies as a high schooler: screamlaughing at Scott Pilgrim vs. The World with my homies. I haven't been to the Regal in years and unfortunately will not return to this location. I will not dismiss the entire brand but definitely this location. Life has been crazy and the Regal was the only theater playing a certain movie. I attached a picture of the seat next to my guest. This seat want blocked for the purchase on the site or in person. This dismissive attitude makes you question the cleaning process of the entire theater. This was at the first showing of the movie so the staff had plenty of time and chances to rectify the situation. Luckily, this wasn't my seat and I was able to disinfect my seat to comfort. Let's be honest, sitting for 2+ hours is not going to be comfortable unless investments are made to address this issue of comfort. The sound quality is good. It was loud enough but not too loud. I noticed red laser dots underneath the projector screen that were very distracting. I am not sure what that could have been. May be normal but definitely not part of the film. read more

Even with matinee prices paid $17 to see Suicide Squad with my niece plus $30 in snacks. Theater 3 had no AC and the sound was defective. The manager was heard by me telling some poor employee to prop open the door so we really had suck sound. The manager WOULD NOT come out of her office to give me a refund. They KNEW the AC was out because the manager said we should have been told. I overheard the entire conversation on the employees walkie talkie. I was told to go to the concession to get a refund and was then directed to the manager who walked past me and locked herself in the office. While this location is close to my home, convenience is not always a good thing. I have previously seen movies at this location but did not notice how disgusting the seats were. I couldn't decide if I should sit on my feet like a toddler the entire movie as to not dirty my rump. I hate worn out seats and it always makes me think I'm sitting on dirty seats and hidden grime. If a place like this can't take a few dollars to upholster seats for visual appeal I'll take my dollars elsewhere. I did end up viewing The want~to~be scary Movie it follows which lacked all Plot, rhyme or Reason. I give it a Z minus and believe everyone involved in its production should be fired! read more

Summer is for barbecues, pool time, and matinee movies. Went here to see the new Spider-Man: Far from Home movie at 1:45pm. The movie theater is pretty old. I haven't been to this regal theater in at least 10 years; not much has changed from what I remember though. It's a very basic movie theater: concession stands have generic popcorn, soda, candy, etc., no reclining seats, no surround sound for 2D, and the screen is not wall-to-wall. Since the seats do not recline, I'd recommend sitting further up. We sat in the very middle aisle, middle seats (M16-M18). I tilted my head to the left and right throughout the movie as the seats aren't that comfortable for a 2 hour movie. The movie theater (auditorium 10) had a kind of humid cool feel in it, as if someone left the door open from the outside yet the A/C was on. Didn't care for the muggy air feel in it. Movie was great (there's a short clip after first credits and then again at the very end), but theater needs some renovation. I'd come here again only if there weren't any other showtimes for a movie elsewhere. read more

i've gone to this theater multiple times since i've lived in San Antonio. It's the closest one to my house. I really dig the look of this theater, it's kind of old fashioned with the architecture and color palette. With the exception of there not being enough employees, I'd say confidently that I haven't had any notably bad experiences here. Most of the reviews I've seen have to do with the food or popcorn or getting drinks. Here's an idea; how about you just not get food or drinks at all. It's a movie theater for crying out loud, their not known for their gourmet cuisine. As for the drinks, just go for drinks after the movie. Typical movie theater. The food is picked high like every other place and while the place is clean the random popcorn droppings like on other theaters is there. What did set this one apart was the staff. Unlike others that are full of teens that just want to get by the staff here was on their game. The guy at the counter was a smartass but in a fun way. His humor with us set us in a good mood. The people on the floor helping direct traffic were funny and helpful. While we were there the movie did go out and security told us it was a surge and nothing related to the joker showing. That probably could have been handed better.
