We usually hit this pub at least once every time we're in Calgary (4 to 6 times/year). We have LOVED this Pub since 2021. Always had tons of Skip the Dishes orders being picking up, and the food was really good, large portions, decent prices on Wing Night. NOT.ANY.MORE. Went to wing night Monday August 26th. Arrived at 6 pm. One lone waitress . . . with 20+ Customers throughout the Pub. Prices have gone up drastically on Wing Night. I ordered White wine, and got the last 6 oz available. They were ALL OUT of White wine. By 7 pm, there were at least 40 people in the Pub, not including the 12 people who left between 6 and 7. Waitress had only been there 2 weeks. We have noticed since the new takeover, that multiple times we've gone, there is only 1 Waitress. No Bartender- no dishwasher clearing tables, etc. We ordered Samosas - all out. Took ages to get our drinks and food, but I will blame the Manager for not having enough staff. Our Waitress offered to run next door to a liquor store to get more wine, but she had zero down time to do so. We used to LOVE this Pub, but no longer. They keep removing items ( no more What The Huck on tap), increasing prices, shrinking portions. We were a table of 5 and gave our poor overworked and overstressed waitress a large tip. Heard another table telling her that they too have noticed they only schedule 1 waitress. On.A.Wing.Night. WTF IF we ever go back, I'll call ahead to see how many workers they have. It's too bad, because the locals in the area starting to look and go elsewhere read more

I love this pub! The staff is amazing, the beer is cold and the food is hit &miss. Been here a few times,?the wings are always good, the steak sandwich looked ok and the salad ‍the atmosphere is amazing, can't wait to return. read more

Seriously the worst experience hands down. We used to come here all the time and since sold, absolutely every aspect of this place has gone down hill! The beer is cold, the wings were ok but not what they used to be at all. No more Beagle hot sauce sold by the bottle. The service was catty, rude, and the absolute worst. 2 servers. 1 was new, 2 days old and could tell us nothing about food, drink or otherwise, 1 came in 15 mins later and literally was the mor catty and worst server in the industry. The kicker is...mm I am a manager at a pub and would have fired this second server on the Spot. I lived in the area and it saddens me to see this happening to this place. Pretty decent place overall....great staff, very friendly and outgoing. However some things need to be greatly improved....updating menus with a sharpie isn't very professional, there are fruit flies in the men's washroom, specifically at the urinals and the sink, also throughout the establishment (tonight at least) Best things are the boneless ribs and wing nights to be honest. Hope to see some changes as this place could be kick ass...minus the Thursday night open mic (at least not ear shattering volumes). Terrible service. Foos was terrible. Wings were just the tops, no drum parts. Horrible sauce. Then the dummy they have as the Karaoke DJ is rude and inappropriate and a Debbie Downer. Doesn't know how to deal with the public. Totally A....hole The Trivia game is a farce and false advertising. No one will ever win, and they just want you to keep feeding $$ to buy drinks. What a joke The waitress is a terrible stupid weird person. Totally terrible service and annoying behavior. Needless to say we will never be back!! read more

Been meaning to try this place out as I've read good things about their wings but we went around lunch time and the wing specials don't start until 4. Apparently it's 25 cent per wing and 10 per drink order. I really don't like this house rule if the wings are over 15 cents. Decided to go with their lunch special instead, 6 oz steak sandwich with fries for $7.95. Steak was cooked to order (medium rare) and was seasoned just right. I thought it was strange how it was served beside the buttered toast and not on top. The fries were a little over done but piping hot. Really it was $7.95 should my expectations be that high? Server was nice and attentive, although there was only 2 other tables in there with us but still the service on this occasion was good. read more

I go here quite often on wing night for their wings, which are usually pretty good. Last night I decided to have their ghost pepper wings, (which were not on special for the record - 8.95 for 6 wings) The server convinced me to get 6 wings to try. When they came out I was a bit shocked as to the sheer amount of sauce that came on them. I like super hot wings as much as the next guy but these were completely ridiculous. I mean completely smothered in ghost pepper sauce. They could have made 4 or 5 more batches with the amount of sauce that came with these. The wings were completely soggy and not enjoyable at all! I will never order these again. I'm rating this a 2 strictly based on my experience last night. read more

As far as casual pub fare goes, the Regal Beagle was okay. I ordered the regal beef dip, which as far as beef dips go was pretty good. The only criticism I would have is that the beagle sauce the put on the meat was rather tart and over-powered the flavour of the au jus. I think I would order the traditional dip next time. The meat was shaved thin and tender which was a nice change from some of the other pubs in the area. All in all not a bad meal though. read more

Cool inside appearance for a pub but boring food. The Reagle Beagle is a fun place to go and grab a drink but I was disappointed by the food. I had one of their burger variants as I took it from the menu that that's what they pride themselves on. It was really no different from a burger you could get at a fastfood joint. My friend had their burger with all of the toppings and it was very disappointing as it is much smaller than you would expect. I've heard the wings here are supposed to be good so I'll be back to try those. Cool little pub if you're only going for drinks. read more

Not bad for a new place. They made a few mistakes on the food but that is to be expected when you're a new restaurant only open for a few days. Definitely forgivable. The food mistakes were on the flavor of the ribs they brought out (we said honey garlic, they brought beagle) but oh boy they were tasty, even the flavors we weren't suppose to get. The Regal Beagle on 17th has great deals most nights of the week. Monday, Wednesday, and Saturday feature 25 cent wings, and Tuesdays and Thursdays feature 25 cent boneless ribs. This new location is right off the new West LRT line by 45 St station so I recommend stopping by if your on your way to or from downtown. read more

What a great little neighborhood pub! Better yet, you can bring your kids here before 8pm. Do you know how special a 12-year-old feels to go to a pub and have wings with other adults? We came to the Beagle for my daughter's birthday with some friends for Saturday Wing Night. Service was friendly and efficient, wings were hot and plentiful, and they have tons of flavors. A lot of people know that they have Ghost Pepper wings (regular price, not included on wing night), which are full-on insanity. I recommend skipping those and order Suicide instead. They are also insanely hot, but still taste like buffalo wings and aren't goobered in sauce. Trust me - you'll still want to order a glass of milk with the Suicide wings! I'd love to come to this place for a hockey game. They've got about a dozen screens and the same number of goal celebration lights on the ceiling. I haven't been here for a long time. We decided to try it the other night for a 'wing night'. The service was very good. The waitress was polite and professional. The wings came out and I have to say I was a bit disappointed. The wings are not 'plump' and 'juicy'. Rather it looked as though they bought the 'cheapest' wings they could find. Very little meat and very poor meat taste. The ribs they served weren't much better. To be honest, we didn't eat anything else on the menu and one of guys at the table had a burger and he said it was awesome. We would probably give them another chance. read more

It was HORRIBLE! We went wed for wings and the sweet chilli wings where burnt from being on the charboiler and the pub sandwich was like mush and left a horrible taste in your mouth. Went there with the kids last night for wing night. Ordered 20 garlic wings and 10 salt & pepper. They dumped all the wings in one basket. Upon complaining at the delivery style of the wings. The waitress told me I should have specified separate baskets for the orders. To the best of my 40 years going to pubs and ordering wings I have NEVER had this experience before. We walked in as a party of 6 at 6pm. After being passed by several times by 3 staff members we had to prompt them for a wait time, at which point we got a rude response telling us that it would be "45mins to 1 hr and the other 4 tables are reserved for 6pm". We said we would gladly wait & found seats at the bar. After waiting 45 mins we were never served, nor spoken to again & when we walked out at 6:45pm the reserved tables were still sitting there empty! This pub clearly does not need, nor want your business. Would not recommend this pub to anyone. read more

The Monday Night live music was un fucking believable Gil Tugass was his name he was amazing vocally and he can play the guitar acoustic electric exceptionally would be an awesome cover for Dave Mathews or Rob Thomas, Steve Earl, Matchbox Twenty. And does a really good Pink Floydd cover. I highly recommend this for a Monday night in Calgary. read more

Wing night was a bust. We ordered 3 sets of wings for 2 people and were told there is a drink minimum. A drink must be ordered for every set of wings. This is our local pub and we have been coming here for years and never heard this before. We ordered 2 alcoholic beverages and then a final pop to fulfill the requirements. We were fine with this until we got out bill and they charge $4 for pop - SERIOUSLY???? Needless to say, we definitely need to find a new neighbourhood pub read more

Wings are decent for the cheap price on Wednesdays. However, pop comes in skinny glasses completely filled with ice and are $4/glass. I didn't realize any place didn't have unlimited fountain drinks anymore. The waitress even brought my second glass when I still had half my first left (sounds like good service but not afterwards when you realize you're being charged per glass). Anyways, the two of us ended up spending $24 on fountain pop which was barely one can worth each. Also beware that hot sauce is $1 extra (wings weren't hot), fries were good but you only get 1-2 layers (maybe 20-30) of fries in the $6 "basket". Overall, just not worth the price after all the extras even on the "cheap" night. read more
