We were drenched and decided that some hot coffee on the way out of town would be just the thing. Aquamos Coffee Collaborative to the rescue! It's in downtown Waupaca, so the parking is basically street or street angled parking. My husband was able to find a spot to sit with the car and camper while I ran in and got our coffee. Since it was lunch time and I noticed what sounded like a pretty stellar breakfast sandwich on their menu, I ordered us a couple of those as well. For our coffee we got the caramel roll latte (caramel-y, ever so slightly cinnamon-y deliciousness). They also have alternative milks, if you so desire. The breakfast sandwich was a sesame bagel with chipotle mayo, egg, bacon, and sharp cheddar--it was super flavorful and absolutely delicious. Oh...and I believe they're dog friendly. We're anticipating a breakfast menu beyond waffles, I would even be happy with yogurt and granola. The espresso as near as I can tell is a medium roast with great flavors, kind of a nutty finish and just a hint of chocolate. The most predominant flavor is coffee, which is my favorite. Perhaps as the baristas gain experience we will see latte art in a large ceramic latte cup as a lagniappe. The place is perfect, I hope it will be a permanent Waupaca establishment. The cafe is accessible even if you aren't going into the Farm Exploration center, and it provides a good amount of options including sandwiches, bakery, and variety of drinks and other snacks. We both go the Turkey panini and a beverage and it was delicious. Came with a side of potatoes and small salad, perfect for what we were looking for. We popped in the gift shop and checked out the World's Largest Potato Masher while we visited and it was great to learn a little bit about the grounds and facilities, we will definitely come back to check out the rest of the building.

I don't understand what Belt's is about other than it has history with the community. I follow Carl D's on Facebook. Some weeks they have specials that are beyond great. Like their turtle sundae for $2. Good for the wallet and the tummy. The location is great take walks and play Pokemon Go or hanging out in the back of the pick-up truck in the parking lot. Even if there's a line, it's pretty quick. They have a lot of flavors and combos to choose from. I've purchased brownies, popcorn, and even a cup of chili here so don't be fooled that it's just a soft serve place. Every now and then, Carl D's does a fundraiser for a good local cause like giving back to the Humane Society. A business that is invested in the community is one that I like to support.
