Lourie from L&K Appliance Repair was the first to contact me directly and, even though it was a Sunday morning, she asked me to call her to talk through the likely issues, rather than just scheduling a Service call. Lourie was extremely knowledgeable and, upon answering a few of her questions, we came to the conclusion that the repair would cost more than replacing the washer itself. It's increasingly rare to find a company that is willing to put customer service ahead of profit and help someone avoid throwing good money after bad. I would highly recommend Lourie and L&K Appliance Repair to anyone, and we will certainly be using them the next time we have, any type of appliance issue.

When she got here, she took a look, found the problem right away, put in a temporary fix so the machine would work for me, and said she would get the part it needed ordered and meet me back here after our trip. Her quote was very affordable. I was so happy that she was willing to just swing by and help me out so that I could get back to the pre-packing laundry that was so needed. I don't feel like most people these days are willing to just help a stranger out like she did, especially after business hours, but she was great!

The tech told me that this part has a habit of dying and being un-fixable and that he was submitting the claim to Landmark for a new dishwasher. That was 2 weeks ago. Landmark states that I don't need a new washer and that they ordered the wrong part (apparently, at least that's what I was told) and now my new partS (yes, that's plural, one part has turned into multiple parts) are on order... I've been with out a dishwasher for four weeks because this company and Landmark Home Warranty can't communicate or get their stories straight.

From the start, this company has been a nightmare to deal with. They repeatedly canceled appointments at the last minute, often with no explanation or warning. Each time I tried to reschedule, I was either pushed out weeks or given vague time windows that were also later canceled. There's only one technician, and it's clear they're overwhelmed, but that still doesn't justify how rude and unprofessional the phone staff are. When I expressed my understandable frustration over yet another cancellation, they actually told me I was "not being respectful." Really? What happened to listening to your customers and understanding their point of view? It's clear they don't care about their customers at all--no accountability, no apology, just defensiveness and attitude. I later checked their reviews (wish I had done it sooner) and saw nothing but 1-star ratings. It's honestly no surprise. If you value your time, your money, and basic respect, avoid Bill's Appliance Service at all costs.

As one of only two LG certified repair shops locally, it was good to see the caliber of people at Bill's in case I need to use them again.
