When we started planning our return to Disneyland, I knew for sure that one thing I wanted to eat was chili. I assumed I'd once again have to get a tiny cup from Carnation Cafe, so when I discovered that Refreshment Corner was selling a full-sized version, I was very happy (to put it mildly). And so it was that I found myself ordering the Hearty Chili ("All-Beef Chili served in a Sourdough Bread Bowl topped with Shredded Cheese"). It was ready pretty quickly and I began eating with glee. It's a terrific chili. It's got plenty of flavor and the level of spice, though a little on the mild side, is just about perfect. The robust, beefy flavor takes it over the top, too. The sourdough bread bowl should've enhanced the whole thing in theory, but the one I received was far from fresh, so I ate a bite or two and threw the rest away. Just had the Birria Baked Potato for a little over $13 dollars. Just happened to see this as we were leaving. Service was fast. Ambiance was crowded and busy. I didn't eat breakfast so I was needing a quick snack but was disappointed with my experience here. I used the mobile app, which I guess wasn't necessary since the pretzel just gets grabbed from the warm case. I ordered the cream cheese filled pretzel and it tasted like nacho cheese filled, and there's no way it was cream cheese. I saw later that there is a jalapeño cheese pretzel on their menu, so maybe that's what she gave me. I don't remember it being spicy necessarily because I really don't do well with anything spicy so being given the wrong pretzel could have been problematic for me. 3 stars I'm a huge fan of chili and bread bowls, so I was thrilled to find out that this establishment serves Chili Bread Bowls ($11.99). Unfortunately, it was a bit of a letdown. The chili was good, but not great. (Walt's Chili over at Carnation Cafe is better.) The bread bowl seemed stale to me. There was a little bird near me, so I threw some bread pieces on the floor, the bird ate a piece and flew away! I think that told me all I needed to know about the bread. Needless to say, I finished the chili and threw the bread bowl away. As a bread-lover, it was a pretty sad thing to do. I ordered the Spicy Firefly Chips (Spicy Corn Chips topped with Chili, Cheese and Jalapenos) and the Italian Sausage Dog (Italian Sausage, spicy Marinara, Mozzarella Cheese Sauce, Mozzarella and Fried Pepperoni on a Hoagie Roll). I really enjoyed the firefly chips, but the italian sausage dog needed some work. The Spicy Firefly Chips had a great kick and was hearty/meaty. Very filling and pretty worth it for the price! The chili itself was a little bean-heavy for me (I like less beans in my chili), but had good flavor. Overall, a tasty snack! The Italian Sausage Dog had potential but fell flat. Firstly, the hoagie roll was incredibly dry and stale. There was also just WAY too much bread! It needed to be about half the amount of bread. The sandwich itself did not have enough marinara so it was really dry. The sausage was good, but overall, all the textures and ratios were off. I also adore the Cream Cheese filled Pretzel here and would order that again! Overall, skip the Italian Sausage dog and go for the firefly chips and the pretzel. This was the last eatery before heading home. This corner cafe offers American fare cuisine . The classics includes specialty hot dogs, sourdough chili bowls, Mickey Mouse soft pretzels, desserts and fountain drinks . This corner cafe is hosted by Coca-Cola®. It was a nice break for us on the shaded patio umbrellas while waiting for our orders and listening to the ragtime piano player tinkling the ivories. My son ordered the Electric Relish Dog which is an All-Beef Hot Dog, Bacon, Mustard Cheese Sauce, Electric Relish (sweet pickle relish with a unique color of often neon green) and Sport Peppers with choice of Cuties Mandarin Orange for $11.99. My grandson had the Mickey Mouse soft pretzel and also ate Mac & Cheese Dog Basket which has a Premium Hot Dog topped with Macaroni and Cheese, Bacon Bits and served with of a small bag of Chips for $8.49. Home of the hot dog inside Disneyland park, the Refreshment Corner is a quick service spot on Main Street USA that offers guests a variety of traditional and speciality hot dogs, chilis, and pretzels. They also have some seasonal items throughout the year. Located in Disneyland park at the end of the strip of shops on The Emporium side of Main Street, the Refreshment Corner can be found right at the break of the street before reaching the perimeter of the Jolly Holiday. Throughout the day, guests can enjoy some outdoor seating while chowing down on their meal with some occasional entertainment provided by a piano player or some Disney characters accompanied by a piano player. All seating for the Refreshment Corner is outside. There are no seats or tables inside the ordering area. Note that you must have a park ticket and a park reservation for Disneyland (or a park hopper reservation) to order and eat at the Refreshment Corner. The Refreshment Corner has been my go-to spot for a regular hot dog when that craving hits. I cannot think of anywhere else INSIDE Disneyland park that sells a hot dog. Though I wouldn't say the Refreshment Corner is a destination I must always eat in, it does offer an affordable, tasty option for guests to eat. I have never been displeased with my food from here and, if anything, it is one of the easiest items to transport on the go to eat during a busy park day. Solid meal to get the job done so you don't waste prime ride time. The Refreshment Corner is offering both mobile order and standby line for guests. This is probably one of the cutest smaller fast casual spots in my opinion and the seating outside is one of my favorites to people watch. (Halloween themed) Mickey Mouse Pretzel Warm Mickey-shaped Pretzel served dusted with Coarse Salt. The Mac and Cheese hot dog was awesome! There was plenty of Macaroni and Cheese on top of the hot dog. There was a good amount of Bacon Bits as well. I was unable to finish the hot dog, unfortunately. I made it half way and was full! So tired from rides, laughing, and walking... I need my favorite snack. That's the Mickey Pretzel, of course!! A must-stop for me is at the Refreshment Corner for a hot, salted pretzel and a bubbly, cold drink. Grab a couple packs of mustard and I'm good!! The Cast Members here are genuinely friendly and the line goes fairly quick. There are several other options to choose from (should you not want the delicious, warm, comforting pretzel), like specialty hot dogs, chili in a bread bowl, kids meals, desserts... and a "secret menu" too!!! There is outside seating where you can stumble upon some pretty great entertainment! Mary Poppins and Bert plus the Dapper Dans frequent this locale. The Refreshment Center is located near the end of Main Street on the left as you approach the circle, coming in from the main gates. Brightly decorated in Coca-Cola motif. Stop by often to check out the hot dog on display, they change often (seasonally?) and are quite interesting and HUGE!! The regular hot dogs are typical and on the smaller side. Mickey Pretzel currently will cost you around $7, but worth EVERY bite. Packets of mustard are free. :) Relax and have a seat, you'll soon be entertained... either by singing or by people watching.
