I've been coming here for over a year now, and it's been a consistently positive experience. The salon is clean, the nail technicians are skilled and attentive, and the pricing is fair for the quality of service. read more

Unfortunately, I am lowering my review to three stars because of the manicure I just received. The manicurist cut half the nails on a tilted angle (see photo) and polished the tops unevenly. She didn't touch most of the dead skin around the edges that would normally be cleaned up. The massage, which cost extra of course, was so-so. The pedicure, though, came out well, which is why I'm leaving three stars. read more

Made an appointment from out of state over a month ago. Showed up, the lady was rude, and claimed we did not have an appointment. Definitely would not recommend. read more

Prices are different than online. Pedi: my mom and I got a pedicure with the callus treatment. It cost $55 and honestly was nothing special, I could've done it at home. It was way overpriced. I couldn't even feel the foot massage, and they didn't really make my feet look better or feel softer Mani: for my manicure, the price online said $18 for French tips and this was not the case, it was way more. I chose the nail polish with the seven day chip free guarantee, I got them done on Thursday, it is now Monday and already chipping. When I got home, I noticed some cuts by my cuticles that the nail tech did and didn't even mention. I will definitely not be going back, it's way overpriced and they don't do anything spectacular for me to justify paying that amount. I will say it was a very clean environment. read more

Great mani, nice staff, bright space, giving only four stars as I would not recommend the massage but nail services were excellent.

I booked through ClassPass just to use up all my credits and I was pleasantly surprised. Clean nail salon with packaged sanitized equipment. My nail tech was super gentle with my gel manicure. It was nothing fancy just one plain color but she really took her time and didn't rush it. I had another nail tech for the pedicure and she was also very gentle and did not rush as well. It's been more than two weeks for the pedicure and the nail polish is still intact. The regular price for gel manicure is $45 which is pretty pricey but we are also in the city so it is not surprising. It started chipping after a week but seems to be normal. read more

I truly love this place. The women who manage and work here are so kind, caring, and they do a darn good job. I haven't been back in some time, but both my pedicure and manicure were top notch. Park is so kind and gentle!! I added a 15 minute massage and Maria was a miracle worker... The space is so relaxing and clean... it is a great neighborhood nail spot and there is absolutely nothing negative to say!! read more

Best gel-x extensions I've ever gotten! I got the Apre nail extensions in short almond and it cost $120 without tip but it was so worth it. It lasted for 4 weeks while every other salon I've tried their same Apre only lasts 4 days. See the photo below for the growth of my nail! I've been getting Gel-x nail extensions for a year now and after trying out numerous salons this is the best. ~ Pros: I did not have a appointment and only had to wait 10 mins for a nail tech. Clean: Everything was sanitized after every use and everything was super clean and neat Staff: everyone was so sweet and my nail tech made sure I got what I wanted Treatment: Gel-X Aprés short almond in white Price: fair price for high quality Aprés extensions read more

I had a lovely experience with Regina, very friendly and my nails were done very perfectly with care and precision. I bite my nails badly! There was no judgement! The booking system is very easy to use and you can also tip on your card. If you do book, it does charge 50% of the bill for security. You can also call to book if you'd like. Overall, a lovely experience. Clean salon, protective masks and barriers are in place and social distancing. read more

Refresh Nail Spa - Gel with tips - Nail Salons Near Me - New York, New York

I went to this nail salon two days ago (I am new to the area), and the service was great- my nail technician was super sweet, she did my dip nails clean and fast. I thought "wow, this place doesn't mess around!" Until yesterday. ONE DAY after my manicure, the ends of my nails start chipping. I paid $60 for this? Umm, wtf?! I don't do crazy shit with my hands either- I am literally a musical theater major and I haven't washed my dishes since Sunday. Today, a whole half nail chipped off. My dip nails from my usual salon back in CA last me THREE WEEKS with no issues or chips. This is ludicrous- I am a student and cannot afford to waste money like this. Very disappointed. read more

I initially gave them 5 stars. I fractured my wrist and needed a pick me up..NEXT DAY the nails were CRUMBLING. I went back and they told me "oh yeah they are too thin" and a technician added another layer. That was Friday. I type on my computer for work. I dont do anything rough on my hands. Its Monday and one broke when I was BRUSHING MY HAIR! And another is covered in cracks and crumbling again! It hasn't even been a week. This is absolutely ridiculous read more

I was appalled when the person doing my gel manicure had used the nail filer ON HER OWN NAILS right before using it to file mine! And she used it right in front of me too! There was no clear sign of any of the equipment (that was used for my nails) having been cleaned or wiped or sanitized at all. Also, my nails were filed and cut uneven. After the appointment, I noticed a piece of lint was polished under the top coat which meant it stayed there unless I remove the nail polish completely. Polish has also started chipping away (for a gel manicure!). So disappointed. I would not recommend this place at all - it's overpriced and unsanitary. read more

I love this place. The women are so nice and thorough and the music is calming. I always get a 10 min chair massage after and it is so good! Try them out- but don't take my time slot! lol read more

I don't like to leave bad reviews but I am not exaggerating when I say I think this manicure is the worst of my life. I wish I would have stayed home and done it myself because the quality is so bad. They put two extremely thin coats of very old looking gel polish on which left streaks and lumps. It's see-through even though it was opaque polish. The lengths and shapes of the nails are uneven as well. I called them and they refused to refund me, they only offered to fix it which would require a total removal and another gel manicure that's likely to be poor quality. I'm going to have to go to another salon to get it completely re-done. Terrible quality and terrible customer service. read more

I think it's an okay place that does okay work. No heavy criticisms. But they do take a VERY long time to do each task. A 40 minute pedicure and was 1 hr 20mins, no massage or anything. They will get noticeably upset if you do not tip 25% or higher. So Please be mindful when booking an appointment here. My nails look okay, even though one or two are crooked. read more

UPDATE to review of 4.8.2019: Prices are higher instore than on their website; Unimpressive COVID protocols compared to other salons I've tried; Same person did my pedi and gel mani: cut my toe and, although it took her a VERY long time to do the gel mani, it was sloppy and the driers kept malfunctioning. All in all, a regrettable experience. I will not be returning any time soon. read more

CUSTOMERS BEWARE! The staff here are not qualified to be nail technicians, especially in NYC! Paid $110 for a acrylic manicure. The next day over 3 nails had fallen off. I see in the reviews that this feedback is clearly the norm for them. I had contacted the store by phone and email several times with no reply. I've waited months to leave this review and they have decided to not make this situation right so I am leaving a review. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Overpriced. 35 dollars for a pedicure only is ridiculous. It was only bearable because the ambiance was nice. Never going back! No posting of prices. read more

Just moved in the neighborhood and thought I would try the nearest nail salon. Came in for an appointment that I booked, just to sit down and have the lady who was about to start doing my nails started talking to another woman. They both start laughing, the other woman comes over and looks at my hands -- they both start laughing together. The lady who walks over ASKS TO SEE MY HAND (which I politely show) and she started laughing again with the other woman as they speak together. I clearly cannot understand what they're saying to one another, but it is clear they are ridiculing me as I sit there in front of them. I came here having had an extremely rough day, looking to treat myself to a nice manicure -- my first in NYC! This was a horrendous experience and I highly do not recommend this nail salon to anyone. If you're fine with being ridiculed while you're at you're lowest, then this is the spot for you. Will not be coming back here and wish I could leave a 0 star review. read more

What a gem! This is the best place I've visited in the area and I've tried them all! Beautiful mani/pedi, amazing massage! So nice and polite! I also love that you can book online. I found the prices totally reasonable compared to the other salons in the area who charge more for a lesser result. Highly recommend! read more

Safe, fast service, barriers and masks in place, appointment only so only a few people inside. Great powder manicure + extensions, lasted four weeks without breaking or lifting. In fourth week I snagged one nail hard and it broke, but usually I'm losing extensions by week 3. Will return for next set! read more

Really wanted to give this place a better review based on how nice the staff was and how clean the space is, however, that changed when my gel nails started peeling within days of getting them done. I paid about $100 for a gel manicure and pedicure a week ago and my manicure is already done. Good choice if you don't mind spending a lot more money for very temporary nails. read more

I got a regular manicure. They didn't file or trim my nails at all and didn't ask if I wanted that. I've never had a manicure where they didn't even file my nails. It seems like the polish they used may have been old because it went on really thick and took forever to dry, and looks uneven. They have a very limited color selection, too. This was my first time going to refresh nails and I don't plan to go back. read more

I like the people and it's cleanliness. They really are careful with COVID precautions too.

I came in with some black spot on my toe and my technician was very sweet and discreet (I was embarrassed it might of have toe fungus) and explained it's definitely just a bruise because she can see it from the root. She let me know not to try the over the counter medications because they do not work, or I would have to go to a doctor if it gets worse. She advised no nail polish for 2-3 weeks. Even without polish, she was able to clean up my toes! This is going to be my new neighborhood spot! Thanks so so much! Please tip well!!! read more

The staff is super nice. I think the best in the neighborhood. Facilities are also very clean.

The worst customer service I have ever experienced. Additionally the floor was disgusting, filthy. Zero stars. I arrived at the time I confirmed on the phone with them after booking in ClassPass. When I arrived, they cancelled the appointment and told me they had no additional time or technicians available. Someone else walked in and they offered them an appointment and they sat immediately in the chair. And they charged me $60 through ClassPass! STAY AWAY! read more

I go to the Refresh Spa right near 96th Street for eyelash extensions with Bella. She is only in a couple days of the week, but she is just a fun, happy and extremely gifted at eyelash extensions. She also experiments with different looks until you are 100% satisfied. The salon is super clean and Fatima who oversees the salon is just so lovely, professional and kind. I love this Spa and most highly recommend it as well as their terrific staff. read more

Wish I can grade zero stars. Visited for the first time last week and NOT going back. Got pedicure and gel manicure. The technician cut the side of my finger during the manicure, without remorse or apology. In general she was very rough and unfriendly. Despite thoroughly cleaning it and applying triple antibiotic cream when I got home, my finger got severely infected. I am now taking oral antibiotics. Photo attached. read more

Super bummed to write this review because most of the workers here were so kind and accommodating! The woman who does the Threading even put 3 different colored polishes (without being asked to) on her own hand to help me narrow down the right color-which has never happened in the many years I've spent getting manicures! Unfortunately, I can't give a positive review about the entirety of my services. I had a pedicure and silk manicure fill in done. The next day, my pedicure was already chipping and now (less than 5 days later), two of my silk nails are coming up. I've previously had silk nails, acrylics, and gel powder done, but I've never had a nail come up so quickly. Silk nail fillings are supposed to last for at least 2 weeks, so I'm pretty frustrated that I spent so much money to have a nice mani for less than 5 days and nice pedi for a half a day. My nail technician appeared to be very unhappy from the moment I arrived, but given the friendliness of everyone else in the salon, I gave her the benefit of the doubt and chalked it up to her having a bad day. However, my broken and chipped nails give me reason to believe that her mood affected the quality of the services she provided, and that's just not cool. I'm going to call and ask to come in to have my silk nails fixed (given how long they lasted). Hopefully I can then update my review with more positive comments. read more

I will say the spa is very clean and follows all of the sterilization protocols, but that's the only nice thing I can say. This salon was not a great experience for a pedicure. From the lack of knowledge of filing toenails, to paying for a spa pedicure which was supposed to include a 15 minute hot stone foot massage, that only included 3 minutes of the hot stone part, this was a real let down. The massage was really her just rubbing in lotion. Sadly, I'll have to look for another place in the neighborhood. read more

It's a little bit pricier than the average nail salon, but definitely worth it-- CLEAN (hygiene is make or break for me; this place uses plastic liners in the pedicure baths, all tools in the sanitizer, spotless facility), plus friendly and attentive nail techs, as well as the usual amenities (massage chairs, wifi, very good selection of polish, including Zoya and the Essie long-lasting polish). This is going to be my new regular place. read more

Excited to be the first to review! This salon has been an extremely WELCOME addition to the neighborhood. I believe it has been open for close to a year but I only found it about a month or two ago. I have now been 3 times and each time my manicure, pedicure and massage have all been great! Park and Nana both did my nails very well - and each time they didn't chip for about a week (not gel). But I would also like to give a shout out to both Eric and Michael for great chair massages! From the quality services to friendly and attentive service to the quality products - THANK YOU!! read more

I was extremely happy with the service my daughters And I received yesterday. I needed a patch/ repair on a big toe nail - I am thrilled with it. My pedicure is excellent and so is my gel mani, also my daughters had a regular pedicure and they are excellent too. Very thorough. We walked in and didn't have to wait. My daughter would also recommend the waxing and threading services. Very clean and hygiene was A+ - using disposable nail files and liners for the pedi baths. read more

Two of us arrived on a Friday at 1:30pm, one for a manicure and the other for a mani/pedi. The nails turned out fine but we'll see how long they last. Their "happy hour" which is M-W 9:30-3pm is a $38 mani/pedi with the regular price being $43. There was barely a massage and nothing fancy for that price. I would not recommend. read more
