The older Asian lady who was my lash artist first removed my purse from the bottom of the bed which there was plenty of room for my bag. She then pointed to the camera and said I put it over here see camera. Which was all the way across the room on an empty bed. Red flag then I showed reference picture, she immediately said she has another appointment. She said my lashes were short without looking at my natural lashes. It took her forever to remove my lashes which is not normal. I also have my esthetician license and am certified in lashes as well. So I asked for her to remove the lashes then make an assessment. She got lash remover in my eyes they burned like crazy. Another Red flag! Then she said she would not be able to do the lashes how I wanted them. She said she could do them shorter. I previously had a set put on a week before as my friend was practicing on me for her certification and she only had short lashes in her kit. But finally I went to my lash shop in the city , they sat with me asked what I wanted and then they gave me choices on length. I've gone to many lash studios in NYC/NJ and they always ask what look you're going for and what length. The front desk at lash lounge was very nice. But the service was terrible. Pros: everyone was nice and pleasant to talk to, and the appointment started with a consultation (I showed pictures and explained what I liked and what I didn't, ex I have hooded eyes and I wanted to make sure the outer corners of my eyes were not too heavy since they tend to droop), it has been 3 weeks and they still look nice, Cons: It is a little pricey just judging from my experience I have gotten lash sets that looked the same and paid significantly less for similar quality (this is up to you though), the biggest ick that I have and the reason I am writing this and I took a star off is their processes after the appointment. I have gotten 4 messages (on the 17th, 19th, 22nd, and 25th) and 1 phone call to book an appointment. As someone on the fence, this is pushing me to try to find a different place. I can understand a message at the 2-week mark and update messages but a message every 2-3 days to book an appointment is a bit much. Conclusions: I loved my lashes they stayed and still look amazing, everyone was nice and pleasant, it is a bit pricey, and their operations for contact after the appointment are unpleasant. So, imagine my excitement when I discovered a location much closer to my house! I had been going to another salon near me, but unfortunately, the new eyebrow tech just couldn't get my brows right no matter how many times I tried. From the doorman of the building to receptionist Yulissa (pronounced Julisa) and my tech Rizwana, everyone was so amazingly wonderful! As you walk in your temperature is checked before you're directed to a sink to wash up. They practice strict covid precautions. I didn't have an appointment (it's recommended) but I waited less than the ten minutes Yulissa said it would be to have my facelift. (threaded 'brow) I heart the energy of this business. It's light, positive and even with their fiery aesthetics, it lends a calm that stays with you even as you walk out the door.
