Stopped in on Christmas Eve for a last minute bottle of rum for my rum cake. Quickly found the…read morebottle I was looking for and price clearly showed $21.99 and there was multiple bottles in the row not just one. Upon checking out the bottle rang up $26.99 so I advised the cashier the bottle should be 21.99 and I explained where I found the bottle so that they can go do a price check. The cashier then sent me over to another register and the gentleman that went to do the price check started to ring me out and although it was an error In their pricing he advised "the bottle was in the wrong spot" even though it was an entire row and said he can offer me the bottle at 23.99 instead of the $26 that it had originally rang up. I get that mistakes happen but the bottle should have been honored at the price that was shown on the shelf not a made up price in between just because. I know it's just a couple dollars but its the principle for me and the fact that the man that did the price check tried to say that someone placed that bottle in the wrong spot when it was clearly an error on the store being that the entire row was the same bottle. This is why I normally stick to ABC liquor.

There are a few stores in the Tampa area who support the local whiskey/bourbon environment, and I…read moream glad that "Whiskey Willy's" is one of them. The store already has a good stock selection, but they are also prominent enough to regularly have good store picks of some quality stuff. They are relatively fair in their allocation distribution, often coinciding with those store pick bottle drops. Michael and the staff are knowledgeable, accommodating, and are passionate about their craft. I've been in line for a few of their bottle drops and appreciate when they come out to provide samples of their offerings. Their prices are a little higher than MSRP for those allocation bottles, but still mostly within reason.

But I'll find reason to return and make other purchases. Good form you guys. And just to add; I called many, more than 15 liquor stores to find this bottle. Every store, every team member I talked to whether owner or not was beyond pleasant. All were cordial and friendly. All gave me their time to check or conversation.

They also have a lot of sales and a rewards program. They recently renovated the entire store and it looks amazing! Daniell, Christian, Robert and Anthony are the best! They are all so knowledgeable and go out of their way to help you find exactly what you're looking for. My favorite part about this store is the wine tastings! Daniell does such an amazing job setting this up every month with so many tasty wines & other beverages to try. I come every single month to try new items and stock up on my liquor & wine for the month. I've been coming to these longer than I can count, since before they paused it during COVID. It's gotten so much better since Daniell took over! You can tell she puts a lot of time into the selections, makes printed guides for what's available to try, and comes up with mixed drinks & recipes. It's always been such a hit and what brings everyone I know into the store, but lately it has been too inconsistent. I used to rely on it being every single month on the last Thursday, but now that it's not monthly, I never know when it is. I don't usually make it into the store outside of these tastings, so there is no way for me to know when they are. When it was consistent, I had it planned out every month. I'm very disappointed they decided to do it less often. It seems like this is the only reason not as many people have been showing up lately. It used to be packed when it was every month. Please bring it back! I'd much rather have a price increase than no monthly wine tasting at all.

We are learning and listening to his amazing stories about his travels. Bethany picked a tequila for us to try that was the best I've ever had at a tasting. Anthony is ready with our tasting glasses and to ring us up as soon as we walk in. He's always helpful with any questions we have. You may be able to tell that we only go in the store during the tastings, it's when we get to try new products and purchase our wine and liquor for the month. The fact that it's been so irregular lately is disappointing. It was always so popular when it was happening regularly, now no one knows when it's happening. This is the only reason for the 4 starts and not all 5. Please do us all a favor and keep the wine tastings monthly!
