What began as a leap of faith to improve my body has turned into a life-changing experience, both…read morephysically and mentally. Like everyone else who is a beginner at Club Pilates, I was unsure if I could keep up or even complete a class. With the help of my instructors, I not only conquered those doubts but exceeded my own expectations. The changes in my body are remarkable but it didn't happen without dedication. I started out with 8 classes a month but over time I evolved to 3 - 4 times a week. Today, I'm proud to say, that within months, I've earned my "100th Class" t-shirt - it's like a badge of honor from Club Pilates! I wear it with pride, lol. One of the most remarkable aspects of Club Pilates is the professionalism of the instructors, including the friendly faces at the front desk, as well as Karen (the CP general manager). Just as important are the connections and friendships I've made along the way - an unexpected bonus. In addition, Club Pilates hosts a variety of free workshops that teach and bring members together. There is a hierarchy of capable individuals who are dedicated to handling anything you think is a problem, no matter how big or how small. Throughout this journey, I have encountered a few frustrations myself and once I made the effort to speak up (either to the front desk or email the general manager) it was always a simple fix. I want to extend an encouraging invitation to anyone who may be curious or hesitant. Club Pilates offers one free class so you can dip your toes into the world of Pilates and experience firsthand the positive impact it can have on your life. Call the front desk and ask how you can sign up for a free intro class. Don't feel intimidated, this initial appointment is to show you how anyone can do it. The environment is comfortable, the instructors are easy to talk to and they will answer all your questions (especially if you're concerned about health-related issues). This journey has redefined my understanding of Pilates and my new goal for this upcoming year is to try new classes and new instructors. No class is ever the same and I really enjoy that variety and challenge. If you're considering a healthier you, I say try Club Pilates - it might just change your life as it has mine. Feel free to DM me directly if you'd like to ask me a few questions - I'm thrilled to help you in any way I can.

I am 47, my core strength has never been better and my daily back pain is gone. Huge thank you to Meredith, Pam, Gidget, Maureen, Kaylan & Rachel for helping me adapt exercises, when needed, so that I could continue my Pilates classes without injury. These ladies love what they do & love helping others reach their goals.

Lifetime is an incredible gym. Yes, premium priced, but you get a lot for your money. We've been…read moremembers for almost 2 years and have loved it. The child center is fantastic. They are so great with the kids and it frees me up to lift, play pickleball, or participate in a class. They will watch your child for up to 2.5 hours which should be more than enough time for a workout and shower. Additionally, kids can participate in fun activities like rock climbing, ballet, hip hop dancing, and martial arts while you work out. The thing that really drove home the value for me was the parents night out. Every week they will watch your children for 3 hours on Friday or Saturday night. On the pickleball front, it's hard to beat having 6 indoor courts, which are relatively easy to book - all at a cost of membership that is comparable to pickleball clubs.

I have been a member of Lifetime Fitness for over 20 years (based at the Plano and Allen…read morefacilities) For a place that calls itself an "Athletic Country Club" with the continually increasing prices to match, this place does not live up to the moniker. In particular, as a customer of the Allen Spa I have never understood why the spa did not have it's own bathroom facility. Massages, facials, and hair appointments frequently take a while. It is reasonable that someone would want to use the restroom before, during or after a service. The idea that you have to walk across the entire facility to the locker rooms for their 5 aged and sad looking stalls in the ladies locker room seemed ridiculous and potentially embarrassing. So the "brilliant" answer was using the much closer "family" bathroom in the "family" locker room. That was workable, but certainly not a great answer. And now they have decided that Spa clients are no longer allowed to use the "family" bathroom. I do not know the real reasons why, but I assume it has something to do with not being a "family." Locked out! So we are now fully expected to trek our foiled, caped and oily bodies across the very large and very public facility to those previously mentioned locker rooms. I know of no country club that would expect its members to parade around in such a manner, nor inconvenience their hard working stylists and therapists with a bathroom so very far away. I really wish the Lifetime would fix this situation. It makes visiting the Spa stressful rather than Zenlike and peaceful....which is how a spa should feel.
