The setup is less conducive to some exercises, such as wall balls, and the TRX rope space is limited, but they also have some atypical equipment for a Fit Body, such as freestanding punching bags and foam barriers for jumping exercises. It is also worth noting that they have several slightly cool water fountains, for people like me that never remember to bring water. I believe that this location is owned by the same folks as the Bridgeland (East) location, and the typical workout formula follows the same superset structure: reps for each of the major muscle groups in sequence, followed by a short rest, then rinse and repeat. This is done mostly using your own body weight, and gives you both cardio and strength training. Almost anyone can do these workouts, because it can be as easy or as hard as you make it. If you're the type of person who works harder with instructor encouragement and/or small group camaraderie, this bootcamp is a good choice.

I have not had a single injury and usually do their workouts five or six days a week. Every day is a completely different kind of workout so that it is impossible to get bored. There is great emphasis on proper form and all aspects of fitness are addressed, from strength training to cardio/core strength to stretching/yoga before and after each workout. Modifications are made for anyone with a health or chiropractic issue. The owners/trainers offer so much more than simply great workout routines...they freely give advice and sound nutritional couselling to all boot-campers. I have lost over 25 pounds, gained muscle and stamina and overcome numerous health/chiropractic issues as a result of this total fitness package. I would highly recommend Heji Fitness/Calgary Fitbody Bootcamp to anyone who is looking to make a change for the better in their health and fitness.

I wish they offered it more than once a week! This is my favorite yoga sculpt class in the world, including Corepower, Equinox, other boutique studios, etc. You flow for 60 minutes through a series of yoga postures incorporated with weights. BUT, the word "flow" in this class means you literally do not stop moving. It's not super heated like some other studios, but it's so challenging (in the best way) that you end up sweating out all your nasty bodily toxins anyway. Misty makes a point to learn everyone's name, is super encouraging, and the feeling of accomplishment at the end of class is incredible. That, and also the cool lavender towel for your face. My arms were twitching after class, and my triceps are still sore days later. For a $20 drop in class, the workout is totally worth it. Plus, you get a free mat, towel, and all bathroom amenities!

At Samadhi I was presented with a yoga instructor that used the class as a platform to preach about things she had no business discussing in a class. (I use the word discuss loosely, since it's one sided in this venue) Wasted my time and money. Yoga class should not be where an instructor shares her personal beliefs about topics that could offend students. She does not have the opportunity to speak with us and learn if we're an appropriate audience for her to share these thoughts and feelings. Everybody is entitled to their beliefs on things like what causes and cures cancer, but I certainly did not pay to hear this particular set of beliefs. When I emailed the studio to share my concerns, I received a reply trying to sell me a session with their nutritionist. I will definitely not be back, there are way too many other, great, options for yoga studios in Calgary.

I guess I thought pilates would be like kind of like that infomercial that we've all seen on tv with some crazy lady pumping her arms back and forth while she does a weird sit up. Yeah, it's not like that at all and it's definitely not like yoga (whoops!) Basically, it's about making sure that the right muscles do the work so that you can get stronger. I went in hoping it would help with back pain...I didn't really think that it could help with other things - like my running! This place is clean, the instructors are super knowledgeable, and the small class sizes ensure that you actually get some personal attention (which is kind of the point - if form is so important, you need someone to actually pay attention to your form). Sometimes I like to pretend that I'm all hard core so I'll do a TRX class and then shuffle around for a few days afterward. I highly recommend that you invest in a few solo sessions to start - that way you learn the principles and correct movements so that you'll actually get the most out of the classes. Bottom line - No crazy ladies or weird arm pumping for me! Pilates has been such a great compliment to my other activities. If you are looking to get stronger, help with pain, or just a kick ass workout, try it out. Go in with an open mind and you will learn a ton about your body. Highly recommend.

I was supposed to join my sister, but I was denied service when arrived. I showed up ONE minute late, and this is not an exaggeration. My sister had checked me in and set my mat up for me, it was a matter of taking my shoes off and entering the room. The street parking in the area can be tricky and I had to circle around a few times to secure a spot and sprinted over to the studio. 6 pm class - driving over in prime rush hour time. I was also told by my sister who did attend that the class was empty and did NOT even start on time. I understand that studios have procedures to avoid disruption, but refusing someone over a one-minute delay feels unnecessarily strict and lacking basic customer consideration. Especially as it was my first ever class with Hot Shop. I made the effort to show up and was essentially on time, yet still wasn't allowed to participate. A simple "please arrive early next time otherwise you'll be denied entry" could have sufficed. It did not help that I was told "sorry, sometimes the instructors don't let people in. It depends on the instructor". This only made it sound even MORE unfair. Basically communicating that this isn't a strict rule, and it only applies to SOME people. Instructor was Shauna Clark. It didn't feel welcoming or accommodating, which is the opposite of what I expect from a yoga environment. Yoga is meant to be therapeutic, but I left feeling extremely stressed. Unfortunately, this experience left a very negative impression and will not be returning to any studios. Still waiting to hear if I'll get my money back since I showed up ready to participate.

Was also told by the manager that it is stated in the email but it also isn't. The class was half empty, it was at 4:45 which is also during rush hour and i did my best to come in on time. Honestly just disrespectfully and bad business practices. Policies should be stated very clearly and multiple times. There is also a certain amount of professionalism when it comes to customer service that clearly non of the employees or the manager practice.

What really sets this place apart, though, is the kids club. As a parent, it's such a game changer to know my kids are happy, safe, and well cared for while I take time for myself. It makes working out feel easy and enjoyable instead of stressful. On top of all that, the people are amazing both staff and members. There's such a welcoming, friendly vibe that makes it feel more like a community than just a gym. And the location couldn't be better. HORRIBLE treatment by staff today, NOT luxury service, AVOID…read more I had asked to be connected to the manager of the club during the phone call to Adress the situation privately but Raeann said over the phone he (manager?) was on vacation for a long time and refused. I wanted to address the horrible treatment i received today not only from Raeann, but from the front desk girl as well as the one that called me in to the office upon arrival. I signed up through the mind body app, and scheduled my yoga class through there. I got to the desk 10 mins before the class as that is what the class description said. I was then told to wait and have some other girl frantically tell me shes so rushed now to get me registered, which i thought was done already through the app. This meeting she all but blamed me and made me feel as though i was a burden to her, and that this was not how it was supposed to be. Again, nowhere does this say this when booking through mind body that there needs to be a tour and such prior to me scheduling anything. After class, i left, and checked if i had a phone number for the facility, i only had a text from Raeann, which i have attached here, again, no mention of a 1 hr needed for tour and processing etc. In her text, i will note however, in the berating phone call after, she did lie and say she had called so many times and explained over voicemail, which did not happen. I texted Raeann back as attached below, to which she berated me (in her calm, soft spoken voice as she continued to say, while talking down to me) talk over me, and say she didn't want me in her club when i asked to speak to a manager because her behaviour was an insane way to treat anyone, let alone a new member. She then back peddled and again, blamed me for having a bad day and was taking it out on her (when she called me to seemingly blame a new member with a valid concern that i calmly, privately tried to address ?) She lied saying she called multiple times, when she called once and texted me. She also lied about her manager being on vacation, as when i called the front desk, they said he would be in on Monday. Her attitude over the phone was horrible, her condescending way of speaking was uncalled for and her threats of telling everyone about me, and not letting anyone else speak to me, is absolutely insane. I would like to speak to anyone above her as soon as possible. Thanks. If this is how this place is run, DO NOT GO HERE.

I was late for class for 6 minutes and reception didn't let me into the class. I was attending with a guest who I introduced to the studio so I had to wait an hour in your reception area. This is incredibly disappointing. I'm not sure why 6 minutes is different from 5 min since reception said 5 min allowable. It's literally a minute late past the cut-off.
