Due…read moreto an unforeseen injury (stress fracture on my foot), I moved away from Orangetheory and tried CrossFit, working out on my own at the YMCA, and other boutique studios in the city. During Covid I started homeschooling my kids. I quickly stopped making fitness a priority. I had been wresting with getting back to a gym when management reached out about coming back to try a class. All it took was one class - I forgot how much I loved it! A gal recently asked me why I returned, and I told her that I was now the slowest, weakest, and fattest I've been in years, so I decided to return to the place that I know gets the job done! With hard work, perseverance, and stellar coaching staff, I'm starting to see my body transform. This place brings out my inner athlete and my competitive side, but it's not about comparing myself to others - every time I look in the mirror it's me against me. I've promised myself that I'm going to keep coming until I see the person in the mirror who reflects the person I want to be. I want to give a shout out to Matt and Khrista (the studio owners). You not only fill your studios with motivating, caring trainers, you genuinely care about people's health and wellness. You have created a community that people are excited to be part of and a place they enjoy working out it. Michelle Parks

The owner never once reached out to me after this happened, we were never warned of the thefts at other locations and I have been harassed 4 times about payment even though my credit card was stolen. The owner is lucky Ava is such a great employee and even though certain things could have been handled better, she should be the sole manager of this place. The owner does not care about his members, does not update equipment and truly does the most bare minimum. I am giving two stars (not one) because of Ava's support the last few weeks. Owner, don't own a gym if you don't care about the people paying your bills. Big thumbs down.

The kickboxing stand (which is the whole reason i signed up here) actually gets to kick it cause it's old and starting to get lumpy. There isn't much room to work out space wise. Then I continue to pay for it and never go there, and the company that runs there payments is fraud!! They were saying my payments to them were declining for non suffice funds (which isn't true cause I have lots of money in my account) but they had now problem 3 days later and took an extra $20 extra because of their NSF fees. LIKE WHAT THE HELL!!! Don't trust this company with your personal information and don't waste your time with the manager. He doesn't actually care about anyone but his wallet.

The floor…read moreis designed for people being slammed down onto it, so it's ideally yielding yet firm for bootcamp exercises. The setup is less conducive to some exercises, such as wall balls, and the TRX rope space is limited, but they also have some atypical equipment for a Fit Body, such as freestanding punching bags and foam barriers for jumping exercises. It is also worth noting that they have several slightly cool water fountains, for people like me that never remember to bring water. I believe that this location is owned by the same folks as the Bridgeland (East) location, and the typical workout formula follows the same superset structure: reps for each of the major muscle groups in sequence, followed by a short rest, then rinse and repeat. This is done mostly using your own body weight, and gives you both cardio and strength training. Almost anyone can do these workouts, because it can be as easy or as hard as you make it. If you're the type of person who works harder with instructor encouragement and/or small group camaraderie, this bootcamp is a good choice.

I have not had a single injury and usually do their workouts five or six days a week. Every day is a completely different kind of workout so that it is impossible to get bored. There is great emphasis on proper form and all aspects of fitness are addressed, from strength training to cardio/core strength to stretching/yoga before and after each workout. Modifications are made for anyone with a health or chiropractic issue. The owners/trainers offer so much more than simply great workout routines...they freely give advice and sound nutritional couselling to all boot-campers. I have lost over 25 pounds, gained muscle and stamina and overcome numerous health/chiropractic issues as a result of this total fitness package. I would highly recommend Heji Fitness/Calgary Fitbody Bootcamp to anyone who is looking to make a change for the better in their health and fitness.

Every gym employs these same sales tactics so, at this point it's nothing new. And besides, if you didn't have someone telling you to get your butt to the gym you probably wouldn't go to start with. My story: I have a triple curve scoliosis in my spine. I've been living with back pain my whole adult life and it was starting to make me very miserable, chronic pain all the time. After chatting about this with my sales consultant they recommended Josh Deck as my personal trainer to address this issue and also my weight loss goals albeit they're the lesser of the two issues. I will say this, the small price I've paid to see him 12 times has resolved my daily back pain 100%. He's got me working hard but also being realistic about what I can manage in my day to day life and routine. It's been so helpful in fact I'm going to keep training with him for as long as I can. I cant say enough great things about Josh as a trainer but I am a special case, training may not be useful for everyone but certainly useful if you've got goals, timelines or a special case injury. The facility: has everything you need and the group classes are included in your very basic monthly membership and they have a very rich schedule to suit everyone's needs. Things are clean and there is always a cardio machine even at 5PM! ALSO - If you have kids, they have a day care facility right in the gym for a tiny little $4 fee for 2 hours. I came to this same Worldhealth in 2005 and left because at the time it was very male centric and desperately needed renos. Which now, the renos are great, layout is functional, they replace broken things quickly, change rooms are nice and honestly the staff know my name and are super helpful and friendly to me all the time. The price is competitive. The location is easy to get to. Free no hassle parking. All girls room which is nice for those awkward times. The demographic is also completely mixed in age, gender and body types. I'm happy and would recommend it to friends for sure :)

I had no idea what i was getting into years ago when i signed up for this gym, i thought i was getting a good deal on coaching and the place looks nice, but the payments will drown you. If you ever think about canceling, good luck. They will only freeze your account, and force you to pay the full years long term + some extra hidden fees. Save yourself the stress and go to literally any other gym in Calgary, hands down this is the worst one I've ever went to throughout my whole life.

Here are my reasons: (1) absolutely no customer service as it relates to your policies. You have access to an email that goes to who knows where and no one really knows whats going on; (2) in connection with item #1, they adopt and enforce absolutely ridiculous policies. I was a member of the Vancouver branch and wanted to transfer to the Calgary branch. I was told this was impossible. Instead, my options were to "upgrade" my membership at double the monthly rate or cancel my Vancouver membership, re-enroll with Calgary and pay the initial joining fee again; (3) there's no water fountain. This one is actually extremely bizarre. How can it even be legal to permit people to work out in an environment where dehydration can only be mitigated by waiting for some guy to finish his business in the washroom so that you can desperately access to sink taps? I know its a "no frills" gym but, Fit 4 Less, is a water fountain really a "frill"? At this point, your members may even settle for a garden hose attached in the alley. Don't sign up with this gym. I realize the price point "appears" worth it, but trust, there are better ones out there with similar or the same prices. (World Gym in Calgary for one).
