The store was completely empty, and a young man walked out and said "can I help you" and proceeded to walk over to a computer and start typing at it and I asked him are you in the middle of something, are you helping me? It was so awkward...I said, I'd like to trade in a new unfired gun that I won here in a raffle and put it towards purchasing something here that I'd actually like to own. He told me "that gun was most likely donated by our vendor and we have no interest in buying it back". I said to him so that's it. We're done here? He responded back "yes". I said "would you like to check with the owner before you just dismiss me? "He said "I'm the manager and I make the decisions" His tone was so dismissive and I felt so disrespected. Given that it was a holiday week and a Friday and the store was completely empty and the selection of guns was so sparse. I can't help but think that MidStar arms isn't doing that great. I worked in Customer Service for almost 4 decades, and this manager was very dismissive and disrespectful. I completely realize it's my decision to no longer give them any of my business because there are just way too many local gun shops that treat their customers with more respect. Definitely not a strong move to make your customers feel so unimportant. I personally will make sure to tell all my friends to please bring their business elsewhere.

As I own zero firearms, Dan let me and my daughter shoot with a couple of his. The private ranch/range where we shot is secluded and beautiful. Sergio Leone would have loved this place. After getting us comfortable with the basic safety and operation of the weapon we were to shoot, Dan showed us how to put the bullet on the intended target and worked with us -using repetition and feedback- until this happened. Dan had an assistant/photographer, Lisa, help him out. Lisa made the day even more smooth and efficient. So after all was said-and-done, I had a blast.
