This is the absolute worst psychiatry office that I have ever been to. Being in FL now is different and the receptionists are not as good. The woman at the front desk is so rude, starts fights, and has an attitude if you happen to say something she does not like. I had an appointment scheduled and (I think her name is Dana) said that I did not even though I had the confirmation text. The doctor (Anna Binder) only sits with you for a maximum of five minutes, asks how you feel on the medication, and then you're done. She was not as bad as Dana. I ran out of medication one time and had an excuse that I could not make my appointment (a medical, reasonable excuse), and Dana told me that the doctor would not refill my prescription. I was left without medication, which you cannot stop cold turkey so I went through SSRI withdrawal. I had to reschedule the appointment for weeks away because apparently they were all booked even though I had no medication. I wound up in the emergency room needing IV fluids from the vomiting, nausea, headaches, and other withdrawal symptoms I was having in addition to a large hospital bill, but at least the hospitalist gave me the medication they failed to provide. The next time I needed to reschedule, I called and told them I could not make the appointment due to personal, family-related death issues. Dana told me that she cannot text the doctor to ask for the medication refill because "the doctor gets mad" and "is going to drop me if I do not show up." After going in to complain to Dana, she told me how I was being disrespectful, had "attitude," and should be more responsible. Then, a few days later, she called to let me know that the doctor refilled my prescription and ignored to even acknowledge the fight she had started the other day. I switched to a new psychiatry office and am now so happy! Avoid this business and take yourself to a respectable place that cares for your recovery and wellbeing. YOU DO NOT TREAT PEOPLE WITH DEPRESSION, ANXIETY, SUICIDAL THOUGHTS OR ACTIONS, or any other mental issue like the way I was treated by this business. I understand that Medicaid is accepted here, but please, save yourself and find other psychiatrists who are willing to help you if you run out of medication and cannot make an appointment for valid reasons instead of threatening to "drop you" from their programs. To the staff- do better. You work with children, young adults, adults, and older people who deal with severe mental health issues. You should not treat these people, especially these types of people, with the disrespect and behavior that I experienced here. I complained to my insurance company and hope that this review may be able to sway you to find other doctors who care for your wellbeing and happiness. Best of luck to anyone who has no other choice than to be at this office. read more
