I did something to my neck over the weekend which caused a 24/7 headache and pain that pulled from between my shoulder blades, to my neck to the head. Since I was newly pregnant, I wasn't taking any ibuprofin, excedrin, etc. I called first thing Monday morning and he fit me in for the following morning. He made me feel comfortable immediately, listened intently and was able to hone in on the problem with his fingertips immediately. He also described, in detail with a skeleton & some diagrams, what was causing the pain. I really appreciated learning what was actually causing the problem. Throughout the treatment, he would also tell me what he was doing...which continued to show his thoroughness and ability to help the patient feel at ease. The best part is I had immediate relief!! He gives you "homework", that is, he will show you a few exercises you should do to maintain treatment before your next appointment. I saw him 2x a week for 1 or 2 weeks then tapered to once a week for a few weeks. When I tweaked my neck again, I, without hesitation, was back in his office. I also had peace of mind knowing he had 20 years experience as a chiropractor and I was not surprised to learn, he was a science teacher prior to his Chiropractic career. He loves science and teaching which suits him very well in his chosen path to help patients. Finally, he has a great bedside manner which in these stressful times and when you are in pain, is just nice to have when you are being treated under a Dr's care. I just finished up my second scan (they do 2) and wanted to review this clinic and let everyone know how amazing my experience has been! From the start of walking in the door you are greeted by the front desk ladies and asked how you are feeling (I love that!) I wish I got their names but they are so so kind and helpful, they had asked when I left today if I wanted to move my next appointment to a sooner date which was so thoughtful. I really appreciated that! I believe her name was Daniyel. The staff at this clinic in Hollywood really are top notch and made the experience the best! After you arrive they take you back and have you do assessments on a computer and then take you to a private room to do the medication for the brain scan. Super easy and painless! I wanted to give a special shoutout to Moe. He was so kind and funny and made my experience so much fun and put me at ease. His phlebotomy skills are the best I've ever experienced. No bruising and was painless! The brain scans were so easy and comfortable! They help you up on the board and you lay down and get comfortable and then they wrap you up in a blanket to keep you comfortable but also helps you not to accidentally move during the scan as you can't move so it can scan the brain properly. It only last about 20 minutes. Goes by super quick! They even update you to let you know during it how many minutes you have left which is so helpful. COMPASSIONATE, HELPFUL, & EASY. Would be the words I would describe my experience at the Amen Clinic. Every single person I've encountered has been so helpful and I can tell they have all been extensively trained in customer service and customer care. Ashley has also been a fantastic care coordinator and has followed up with me and taken her time speaking with me. She even called me before we met just to introduce herself to me and to let me know I could reach out to her if I had any questions! You are in great hands at Amen Clinic. I do want to add, yes it is expensive however I view it as an investment in myself.
