I want to share my experience with Reflect Window & Door Employment Issue: I was hired by Reflect Window & Door and worked for three weeks. After joining, I was asked about my immigration status and told that the job was only for permanent residents. I hold an open work permit, which legally allows me to work in Canada, yet my employment was terminated solely because I do not have permanent residency. This treatment was unfair and discriminatory. Service and Product Concerns: During my time at the company, I observed serious quality issues with Perfect Window, including the use of substandard materials, poor installation , and in some cases broken or defective windows being installed in customers' homes. Employee Concerns: I also want to specifically warn about employees John Larson and Chase Yaremchuk, whose behavior and work were unprofessional and contributed to the poor service quality. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Reflect Window & Door or employment or services. Customers should exercise caution, and I hope this feedback helps prevent others from experiencing the same issues. read more

I purchased a length of "kerf mounted weatherseal-extended reach" door weatherstripping. My exterior door (new construction) had Q-Lon kerf weatherstripping installed, but due to the door frame not being plumb, there was still a gap between the door and the frame. The Reflect product was described as being able to cover a larger gap than the Q-Lon, and when installed, it did. I was very happy with the installed product. Several months later, the new weatherstripping was no longer smooth over its installed length. It appeared to still be firmly installed in its track, but the foam covered portion had formed lumps. It no longer sealed. I suggested that the product might not be up to Arizona high temperatures, but the Reflect contacts advised that they ship this product everywhere, and I was the only customer who ever had a problem. They offered to send me a new length of product, but only if I paid for shipping. Since I know that what I bought did not work, I declined to pay Reflect a shipping charge to get another identical length. They seemed happy with my decision. I would advise prospective customers to consider the environment in which the product would be used, and avoid it if daily high temps are over 110 degrees. Reflect did not stand behind this product, and purchasers, like me, and like you, are on their own. read more

Poor customer service, don't bother returning stuff to them. Completely inflexible and obviously care little about there customers experience. Cheaper to keep the item, YOU PAY RETURN SHIPPING TOO. They stand firm on their the take 20 percent "restocking" fee. In addition, they have an import tax. I would not shop here again. read more

The Situation: My house has 40 year old WeatherShield windows which are held in by a plastic trim pieces with a tab that snaps in-between the pane the the frame. WeatherShield no longer makes this trim, but I was happy to find it on the Reflect Window and Door website and advertised as, "Weathershield Sealed Unit Stop, This Weathershield sealed unit stop is designed to be used on double pane sealed units." Turns out it is not the same as the original trim; the tab is 1/8 inch too short when compared to the tab that came out of the original window. What Happened Then: I wrote a United States Postal Service letter to them on April13, 2021 asking for a refund, or in lieu of that put them back in their stock. I noted that it had cost them under $10 US to mail it to me and was stunned to find FedEx would charge me $285 US to mail it back. I heard nothing back, so I emailed them and was met with silence. Then I engaged the Edmonton Better Business Bureau and heard back from Reflect promptly saying I could return the items at my cost, and they would not charge a restocking fee. They said they were waiving the 30 day return period. Then I asked Reflect for a mailing label at their preferred rates. They said "no", it was at my cost. They know the product cost me under $100 US and knew darn well I would not pay $285 US to mail it back. Summary: They have denied any reasonable solution. The lesson is - - once these guys have your money, you are not getting it back. read more

Yay! An easy way to get obscure window parts. Whoever lived in my house before me was a bizarre window fetishist. He amassed and worshipped arcane glass and frames the way some people collect exotic cars. Pet rocks too. So when the locking latch on my esoteric kitchen window broke off there was no replacement part available at Home Depot, Rona, Wal-Mart, etc. I found Reflect Window & Door online after doing a Google search for 'crazy-ass abstruse hipster window parts that only a pretentious home improvement enthusiast would be interested in.' Or something to that effect. They have a big-ass inventory of window and door hardware and an easy-to-use search feature. You can have your part delivered or you can reserve it to pick up in-store. Local delivery is $10. I picked up my latch in the store. It was like a busy call centre the day I was in there. The phones were ringing off the hook with customers calling about service-related issues so I had to wait a minute for service. All their stock is in the back so you need an employee to get it for you. The admin person was apologetic about me having to wait but the important thing is that she acknowledged I was there. That's a skill many businesses are lacking in these days. One of the technicians came to the front when he saw she was busy and asked if he could help. He got my part and I was on my way. Just before I walked out their phone rang again. I heard the woman at the desk say to the technician: "The lady on the phone says that you didn't give her enough caulking." That phrase looks innocent enough in print but when said out loud it sounds kinda suspect. He then took the phone from her to get to the bottom of this very serious problem. This all was said totally straight-faced and serious as a heart attack. They weren't stifling a chuckle like I was. Tireless professionalism. I left and took my 6th grade sense of humour with me. With the ease of ordering and the friendly staff I'll definitely use Reflect Window & Door again. Like if I ever get frustrated with my specialized foofoo windows and decide to smash them out with a baseball bat I'll probably get Reflect to put new ones in. *Update: About a month after I posted this review I got a call from the business asking me why I hadn't picked up my window latch yet. "It's been here for quite some time," she said. I informed her that I picked it up over a month ago. I guess that's the one thing they can improve on - keeping accurate records. read more

I have been in touch with this company for many weeks after the part arrived. Before ordering I asked the rep. if it doesn't fit, can I return it? She said yes, so I took a shot. The part does NOT fit and that's where the problem starts. First they wanted photos..............lots and lots of photos. Then , she wanted closeups of certain parts. Then she claimed that she didn't receive ANY photos. Get the idea? I keep asking "can I return the part, which has been sitting around here now for over 2 MONTHS. No reply - nothing whenever I utter the word RETURN. I can't believe that in this day and age would do something like this; but they are in Canada, so who knows. I definitely would NOT recommend this company to anyone. read more

It has been a frustrating experience dealing with this company. I live in a old house and one of the main items I wanted fixed was the doorknob on one of my bedroom doors that does not close properly. I figured a company that specializes in windows and doors would be able to address this problem. The estimator looked at the door and gave no indication that it would not be possible and mentioned that a part might need to be ordered. I assumed they would know how to find this part if needed. Beware if your estimate does not break down any of the costs. My estimate listed 8 items that needed to done (i.e. clean/lubricate/adjust windows, align door, adjust strike, etc). However there was no breakdown of labor or parts. The price seemed fairly high for the work needed, so I called and asked how much would be for labor. The receptionist came back to me with an answer of $600 and said it would be a full day's work. Last time I am so trusting. Get it in writing! The door I wanted fixed was not fixed and Sheldon seemed to have no idea how to fix it. When my partner suggested he take apart another of my doorknobs to see what might be wrong, he did so and then told him WE would need to order a spring and that he could not fix it. It turns out another door on the estimate did not really need any work done to close it properly. So needless to say, I was surprised when I received a bill that was exactly the same as the "estimate." Sheldon was at my house at 9:20, took a lunch break and left by 3:15 pm. Two items on the estimate were not done. When my partner very politely questioned why the bill did not reflect this and asked for a breakdown of the pricing, he was told that I had "approved the estimate" by Kelly, the manager. Sorry, my definition of an estimate is exactly that. After he spoke to Kelly, we scheduled a conference call so we could clear up a few questions and Kelly totally blew us off. We simply wanted an answer to a few questions. She had told my partner that the hourly rate was $85, so why did the bill remain at $858. Were there $300 worth of parts replaced? She claims that the estimator told me that the door would probably not be fixable. This is a total lie and when we questioned why then it would be included on the estimate and bill, she had no answer for us. In fact, she refused to answer any questions and simply bullied me by threatening to put a lien on my house if I did not pay the bill. I did not hear from Kelly again for months and in fact attempted to contact them months later to clear this up and pay the bill. I received no answers and finally 7 months later, I was sent an email saying my bill was due. After more explanations to yet a third person, they agreed to adjust my bill by by $178, but I am disappointed by the dishonesty and lack of transparency in how I was billed, and by the rudeness and lies of Kelly, the manager. I simply wanted a fair and honest response to my questions. read more
