We contacted Smart Shield Windows because they are a veteran-owned and veteran-friendly company,…read morewhich was important to me as a fellow veteran. After working with Bryan and his team, I can honestly say they exceeded every expectation we had. Smart Shield talks about putting customer service, integrity, communication, and quality first, and that is exactly what we experienced. I have never had customer service from a home improvement or service company as good as what we received from Smart Shield. Everything was easy, convenient, timely, and well communicated from the first conversation through installation. We had our front entry door replaced, along with our garage entry door and a new screen/storm door. Bryan took the time to walk us through the different options, helped us get the look we wanted, and worked with the manufacturer when we had specific requests around the front door and trim. Bryan and his team were excellent every step of the way. The installation was professional, the finished work looks great, and the difference in our home was noticeable almost immediately. The house is quieter, the doors seal significantly better, and we can already feel the improvement in keeping the cool air inside and the hot air outside. What impressed me most was how easy they made the entire process. Smart Shield says they focus on customer care and keeping customers informed throughout the project, and they absolutely delivered on that promise. If you are looking for new windows or doors, I highly recommend Smart Shield Windows. They are a veteran-owned company that takes pride in its work, stands behind its products and installation, and provides a level of customer service that is increasingly hard to find. They earned every bit of this five-star review.

My first experience with Gallagher Brothers was when we were in desperate need of a very large front window. After shopping around and getting estimates, the price difference between Gallagher Brothers and everyone else was shocking. It was a no brainer. Gallagher Brothers once again to the rescue! They measured several times, guided us to help select the correct door for our house and installation was clean, quick and so beautifully done. Previous homeowners had windows installed by a contractor who sources from NBP. They are covered…read moreunder a lifetime warranty. The previous homeowners left all of their papers. We are still covered, per the warranty. Now the contractor tells us that NBP was sold and won't honor warranties anymore. This sounds crazy. I called NBP and their associate (in the rudest tone imaginable) tells me I have to talk to the contractor. The warranty I have is from the manufacturer. They are the manufacturer. Contractor is telling me the manufacturer won't replace the (defective) windows for free--I have to pay $180 per sash (half a window) and that this is a "deal." I can't believe that this is a "deal" given that--of our 8 windows (16 sashes), we have had to replace 6 sashes (37.5%) in the last 3.5 years... And where will the new sashes they want me to pay for come from? NBP. But those would be covered under a new lifetime warranty... Also, I like how they have ONE positive review... and its from a Yelper who has only posted ONE review, LOL, nice try!

This is how a company should be! Wow! This company has the…read moreright name, because they really care! I called to get a estimate for my back door. It was more than just the door but the over hang as well. It had fell down and squirrels had made a home :( The gentleman that took the call gave the information to Jim. He is the father and the owner of the company. Jim called and set up a time to come look at the job. When he showed up, he felt like family. Coming in through the back of the house he looked at the work I wanted done. He sat down in my basement and told us what they would do, took pictures of the damage and dictated everything into a recorder about the whole process. We gave him a small deposit toward the job. He gave me a receipt. What I liked about Jim is he let me know what I needed and didn't need and was very upfront about the price. This company never stood us up. Came on time, did a great job. The door is beautiful as well. They even framed out and put up my old wrought iron screen door. They were even thoughtful enough to measure the peep hole to my height (I'm the shorty in the family). We also decided to let We Care do our roof. One of Jim's sons came out and video taped the roof. We looked at the tape and Jim went over the damage with us and gave us our options. WOW! It was nice to see the roof without climbing a ladder LOL! We decided on a 2 coat white Elastomeric Silicone roof because it helps keep the house cooler in the summer. They even treated the skylight. After it was all done they came back to my home and showed us the video of the completed roof and mailed us a copy of video. We Care is not the cheapest company I've come across. but they do quality work, respectful of your time, do follow up calls to make sure you are happy with their work and respectful of your property. This is so rare now adays! I wish they did more types of home improvements besides windows, doors, roofs etc. We Care is a family owned business with Jim (owner) and his 3 sons Justin, Jeff & James that have been in business for a few decades. As you can see, I would highly recommend them.
