Over the winter, all of the support posts broke, and our fence was about to fall over! The owner of On the Level came out in a timely manner, and he provided us with a very reasonable quote. My interactions with the owner were always pleasant. He returned calls and texts in a timely manner as well. The employees that he sent out to complete the job were prepared, knowledgeable, and professional. My husband is knowledgeable in regards to home maintenance, and he has an extensive background in construction. He could have done this job himself, but since his time is limited, he decided to hire someone instead. With that being said, he is difficult to please, and he always wants the job done correctly. He was very impressed with the work that was done. The employees from On The Level were personable, and by speaking with them, my husband could tell that they knew what they were doing. They even left the job site clean, and they never cut corners. The job was more difficult than anyone had anticipated, and it took more time. We were never asked to pay additional fees. The owner stood by his quote, even though his employees had to spend more time here than anticipated. We would hire this company again without question. We are very pleased with the results, and we feel that our money was well spent. Thank you On The Level!!

A new issue arose at my business this year so I called Oak Ridge Fence & Gate to see if they could assist because I was happy with their work that was done last year. When I called this time, I got Julie on the phone and she requested that we send her photos of the damage via text to which we did as she had requested. My assistant had a conversation with Julie and Julie told her that someone would be out at my business later that day or the following day to look at it in person and give us a quote for repairs. No one ever showed up. No one ever called and Julie never even confirmed she received the texted pictures. So since we heard nothing, we called Julie to follow up and to confirm whether or not she received the text/pictures. She was rambling on about the company moving locations or something like and that they would break more boards trying to repair the job and she eventually declined our job in a very unprofessional way, in our opinion. It sounded more like she had no clue on how to properly fix our problem. We feel in the very least Julie or a representative from Oak Ridge Fence & Gate could have acknowledged us or responded to the text we sent her per her request. We got nothing. No calls, no response, no one showed up. We found this to be highly unprofessional and we don't want to work with a company or a team who lacks communication skills.

I love all people; I just think we need to figure out how best to coexist better Next, the installers used these yellow hard plastic fasteners or something or maybe it was part of packing material. While there may have been hundreds that they picked up, they left dozens and our 'eats everything' beagle has been puking them up for almost two months. It took us a while to figure out what it was. Thankfully, no bowel obstruction. Lastly, most disappointing of all was the fact that we spent $20,000 and no one ever called to say 'thanks for your business,' 'how fo like your fence?' Whatever, maybe $20,000 isn't a big deal to them OR they would rather have me post a review than call me on the phone.

After getting several quotes and recommendations, I went with Michael Kelly, owner of Mr. Fence, to remove the 60 ft long wood fence used to separate 2 adjacent properties and replace it with a more economical chain link fence. I chose Michael because he was responsive and willing to readjust his work schedule to meet my short time frame. His pricing was also very fair and competitive for the scope of work. After the site visit and getting his formal quote, Michael and his crew was able to start work within 2 days on a Saturday. David did a great job in removing the wood fence, installing the new support posts in concrete, and cleaning up afterwards on the first day. Michael came 2-3 days later after the concrete had time to fully cure to install the chain link to the support posts and install a new gate. Throughout the process, Michael was open and accommodating to my thoughts and ideas to ensure the finished product met my expectations. He also helped me with some related minor "handyman" type repairs that was well beyond his scope of work which were much appreciated. Michael made sure the work was done right and to my satisfaction. I highly recommend Mr. Fence for your big or small fencing needs. Mr. Fence has become my preferred fence company and I have no hesitation in simply calling them and using them again.

I thought this was a rude way to do business and figured unless he made a great impression when we met him we were not going to use them anyway. And boy what a great impression that was!!

Then, right before my rescheduled appointment time, they called and cancelled. I was told they're too busy and wouldn't be able to come out for another week. I wasn't very happy but then they said they could provide me with an estimate via email if I gave them some info (dimensions, fence type, etc.). I did so and was told they'd get me my estimate within the hour. I never received anything from them, checked my spam folder, caller ID history. Nothing. Needless to say, their customer service sucks and I strongly suggest you contact Trueline or FFC Fencing, who actually follow through with appointments and are very prompt.
