Shame on me for wasting the last 8 weeks waiting on them for absolutely nothing whatsoever!

A new issue arose at my business this year so I called Oak Ridge Fence & Gate to see if they could assist because I was happy with their work that was done last year. When I called this time, I got Julie on the phone and she requested that we send her photos of the damage via text to which we did as she had requested. My assistant had a conversation with Julie and Julie told her that someone would be out at my business later that day or the following day to look at it in person and give us a quote for repairs. No one ever showed up. No one ever called and Julie never even confirmed she received the texted pictures. So since we heard nothing, we called Julie to follow up and to confirm whether or not she received the text/pictures. She was rambling on about the company moving locations or something like and that they would break more boards trying to repair the job and she eventually declined our job in a very unprofessional way, in our opinion. It sounded more like she had no clue on how to properly fix our problem. We feel in the very least Julie or a representative from Oak Ridge Fence & Gate could have acknowledged us or responded to the text we sent her per her request. We got nothing. No calls, no response, no one showed up. We found this to be highly unprofessional and we don't want to work with a company or a team who lacks communication skills.

Kathy in the office always got back to me with answers too. Julie, the owner, even came out to answer all my questions and explain the process. Wow, that woman has an eye for detail (and the patience of a saint). They were transparent, reliable, and kind and I will continue to recommend them.

We had giant pools of water anytime it rained or snow melted and would get water in our garage. They did an excellent job grading our driveway and even created a channel to ensure we wouldn't have water problems in the future! The crew was respectful and friendly. They were professional and worked hard to get the job done. They excavated and graded with new gravel in one day and then came back to do the asphalt in one day. They definitely knew what they were doing and the pricing was reasonable. We feel it was money well spent. We are very happy with our finished driveway! Would recommend to friends and family.

You will not find a better company to install your new or replacement fence than L and J…read moreConstruction Services. Jason, the owner, came out on March 12, 2024, to give me an estimate on having my wood fence replaced. I asked for a quote for both another wood fence as well as a vinyl fence. After receiving eight quotes, I decided to consider L and J Construction Services and one other company. Although L and J Construction was a little higher in price than the other company, L and J Construction was able to start right away. Since my wooden fence was leaning, I wanted to have it replaced as soon as possible before it damaged my neighbor's brand-new fence. It took about one week to obtain the building permit from the village. But, once we had the permit, L and J Construction started the next day. I was told by Jason that his workers would be on-site the next day to lay the fence posts. Imagine my surprise to see the workers had not only torn down my wooden fence and laid the posts for the new vinyl fence but they were almost complete with installing the new fence. All that work in ONE day! The new fence looks wonderful - it gives a lot of curb appeal to the house. I absolutely LOVE the walk-in gate that was installed - it automatically locks into place each time someone walks in or out of the yard. This was especially important for me since my lawn service often leaves my fence gate unlatched after cutting the lawn. Now I don't have to worry about it anymore. If I have any more fencing needs, Jason will be the first person I call. For excellent work at reasonable prices, call Jason at L and J Construction - you will not be sorry you did.

Here is an honest, non-biased review of Kusiak Construction as it pertains to roofing. I contacted…read moreKusiak along with three other local companies to gather estimates for my roof replacement. Estimate/Quote: Compared to their competition, Kusiak could do a better job in detailing the work to be done, exactly what would be covered in a nice and detailed package. While this isn't a deal breaker, it certainly does place the homeowner at ease when spending $$$ thousands on a new roof. Price: Very competitive. As I mentioned, I contacted other companies and found a disturbing $5,000 swing between lowest and highest. Kusiak was among the most competitive in their pricing. Craftsmanship: Very pleased with their attention to detail. While they just completed the job this morning, everything appears to be in order and the work appears to be very professional. In addition to their competitive pricing, one of the main reasons I chose Kusiak is their application of a 6' ice & water protection. This is twice what others quoted as most only apply 3'. Warranty: This is what set them apart in my opinion. A 10 year warranty on labor is no laughing matter. Again, almost double the time frame what other companies quoted. Pros: Crew was very diligent in scanning for nails as we have a large GSD. Cons: They could have done a slightly better job of keeping me in the loop when crews were coming/not coming. I found myself calling or texting them to find out the status. While not a deal breaker, customer service can certainly make one feel at ease when your dropping so much money.
