I am so happy I found Reese's! I ordered a large peanut butter paw print cake for my dog's 1st birthday. Not only was it adorable but my dog loved it! The staff is awesome! Their selection is great as well. I bought homemade treats & my dog loves them. I will gladly travel the 30 mins to return!

Today I had the opportunity to visit Reese's. We have been long time customers and recently ordered a specialty cake for our dog. She was diagnosed with cancer and we have her resting at home. I ordered 2 cakes our traditional bark day cake (early this year due to her Diagnosis ) and also requested a specialty cake both were 24 hours prior to pick up. When I picked up the cake they knew something was wrong. I broke down and shared our unfortunate news. The kindness and compassion they shared was heartwarming. Spending time to speak with me and then offering word of encouragement to me and our family. Thank you for being there for our family.

Bullet' 13th Birthday!

This place never fails to deliver! From the treats, toys and food to the knowledge and expertise of the staff. We got our first cake for our good boy and he absolutely loved it!! A great recommendation of peanut butter and bacon from the staff. Such a gem to have so close to us for our fur babies!

If you're looking for someone who is knowledgeable and passionate about their job, come here and…read moretalk to Deb. After an older fish of mine passed, I decided I wanted to develop more. So I originally went to the PetSmart on rt. 14, bc it's close to my house. Unfortunately the gentleman who "assisted" me there, made me feel unwanted and a bit stupid. Telling him about my current tank and asking for recommendations as to what I could pair with my African Cichlids, which I'm aware are semi-aggressive... His response was, "none of these, you won't be able to put anything else in the tank"... so my 125 gallon can only house two fish? Asking a few more questions and getting little response or information, I left feeling defeated. The next weekend, I decided, that answer didn't suit me. There has to be a way to do this... So instead of venturing back to the rt. 14 location, I drove fifteen minutes out of my way to speak to someone else. Deb. We walked in and were immediately greeted by a bubbly, smiling, older woman in the fish department. I told her the same information and she confidently said... "it'll be tough, and I can't guarantee the outcome, but... Let's get you some quick swimmers, I'm sure they'll do great." As she was getting the bag ready, she gleefully showed us the eggs a tank next to us had living in it. She "scolded" the fish for breaking the rules, but seemed very happy about the outcome. Deb helped us pick out five dinos, but had to pass us off bc someone was impatiently calling for her. It's not often you see someone so pleased with their job, but you could tell she seemed happy doing what she loved. Thank you, Deb. Oh... And Deb, if you read this, after three weeks, the five fish are swimming strong and I've had no issues with the cichlids attacking them... Even the "hurt" guy you gave me is doing well, so again... Thank you

Have only been to this location once…read more They have everything well stocked and organized. Given all the shortages of supplies nowadays, i am surprised at how well they were able to fill their shelves. They carry many brands and many varieties of pet supplies beyond what the supermarket or box store carries. I saw workers helping people out on the floor. Cashier was friendly Overall, it was a pleasant experience and I got everything I needed for our 3 cats. Prices were generally within about 10% of cutthroat online competitors, which makes this a decent option for value shoppers.

I had a very disappointing experience at Pet Supplies Plus in Wauconda…read more I purchased a play cable that ultimately did not meet my needs. I opened the package and began assembling it, only to realize it was not the correct product for what I needed. I returned to the store shortly afterward to return the item, expecting a standard refund. To my surprise, I was informed that I would not receive a full refund because the package had been opened. At no point during the purchase process was I advised of this policy, nor was it clearly communicated on the packaging or receipt. Had I known that opening the package would result in a reduced refund, I would have made a different purchasing decision. The employee processing my return stated that the store is franchise-owned and that there was nothing he could do regarding the situation. While he was polite, the lack of flexibility and customer-focused resolution was frustrating. What made the experience even more disappointing was that I was prepared to purchase several additional items during that visit--items totaling considerably more than the approximately $17 that was withheld from my refund. Instead, I left the store without purchasing anything. Based on this experience, I will not be shopping at this location again and would not recommend it to others. Customer service and transparent policies matter. For those in the area, I have had a much better experience at Petco in McHenry, where I felt valued as a customer and was treated fairly. Hopefully management will review its return policies and improve communication with customers to avoid similar situations in the future.
