It's extremely important that pregnant women get routine cleanings during their pregnancy as they are at increased risk of gum disease. Dr Lee chooses to go against all major guidelines and enforce his own policy denying pregnant women important dental care that they need. I find this to be a red flag, if he's uncomfortable doing a basic cleaning for someone who's pregnant, I wonder if he is truly confident in his skills as a dentist overall.

We were ok with that but when the front office personnel changed and one of the employees treated us so rudely I said "enough". I have learned a lot about Delta insurance after having to call them all summer when said employee basically told me she had, "done her due diligence," regarding our insurance issue, I said, "enough". I have found a new dentist, in Delta network, their front office employee was able to call Delta and fix the problem. I have two new crowns, no money out of pocket. Not only is Dr. Piroutek exceptionally competent in the patient's dental care itself, but he treats his patients with the utmost respect, concern, and care. He tells you exactly what he is going to do before he does it, and to me, this is particularly important because I am one who definitely is pain intolerent, and always apprehensive and anxious about all my medical treatment, not just dentistry. Dr. Piroutek takes that into account and whatever the procedure is, it is never as unpleasant as I anticipate. He makes you feel at ease. I have a tooth with a slight crack in it but not serious enough that it needs to come out or be repaired at this point. He obviously checks it every time and it continues to be ok and therefore it does not need to be removed or repaired at this time. I feel that some other dentists might have just said it needs to be removed the first time they saw it. It is fine and I have no issues with it. His entire staff has the same professionalism and care as he does and that actually makes it a pleasure to go every 6 months. I never thought I would say that but it's true. Neeta, Heather, and Lisa make you feel welcome and that they truly want to help you. They have been there a number of years as well and that tells you they must enjoy working for Dr. Piroutek. As I said, I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I had several bad dentist experiences in those 20 years. But back in 2013, he told me he could save a tooth another defrost told me he'd have to pull. Since then, I have returned to California for my dental care. I do not regret the added time or expense. He is excellent and careful. He doesn't gag me as every other dentist has. He lets me know what he's doing, and he listens to me and my concerns. These are all important to me. He is never allowed to retire.
