I came back as a walk in visit to fix my temporary crown that cracked over the weekend, and this experience was much better than my initial one. I arrived around noon and Noemi helped schedule a same day appointment since the dentists were out for lunch. When I returned later, Debbie went over and showed me the documents before I signed anything, which made me feel a lot more comfortable. I also spoke with a family friend in dentistry, and they reassured me that the procedures they proposed were actually necessary, which helped ease some of my concerns. During my visit again, Dr. Gaffino explained that my pain was due to the tooth needing a bit more shaving since I couldn't feel it while numb from the other day. Once she adjusted it, the pressure and ache went away almost instantly. The whole visit was quick, efficient, and I walked out with no more pain/discomfort. Overall, I appreciated the improved bedside manner, communication, and quick and effective work this time around! This visit felt much more helpful and fair. read more

I went to Dr. Iyad Sood with the hopes of successful osseous surgery and bone graft replacement. In a nutshell, he surgically replaced the wrong bone graft area even though he had the teeth chart outlining which bone graft area to fix. His assistant is incompetent and not to mention, Naomi (front desk) tried to nickel and dime me for more money since I needed to come back to fix the original mistake that Dr. Sood did! Insurance was not going to cover the procedure so I had to pay out of pocket! I said no and left. I felt compelled to come back and write this review years later after I was reminded recently of my terrible experience. I'm sure there are many others who have no idea. I don't want anyone to experience what I did and waste thousands of dollars. Stay away from Dr. Iyad Sood for malpractice! He has practices around LA and OC area. read more

Beware of this office. They are money hungry and scammers. They will tell you that you need an emergency root canal when you truly DON'T(red flag #1). They will tell you that your insurance doesn't cover a certain service or that your insurance only covers a cheap crown (another lie). The new staff isn't what they used to be anymore. The old personnel was replaced. Please avoid this office as they are looking to rip off all of their customers to make more money. When in doubt, always call your dental insurance carrier and file an appeal or grievance so they can help advocate for you. read more

As someone who hates the dentist, this place changed my mind. They were so welcoming and understanding of my needs. Debbie at the front was so sweet and very helpful. Alexa was nothing , but kind, patient and understanding to my situation. She was super easy to talk to and provided great quality of care. Dr. Gaffino was honest and straight up about what needed to be done. I trust her and her diagnosis'. I don't feel like I am being taken advantage of like I have with other dentists. I recently changed to them because I moved to the Fullerton area they were kind and friendly but very expensive. They said I needed a root canal and a crown this is an expensive procedure and nothing in my mouth was hurting so I decided to go to my trusted family dentist that I have went to for 8 years for a second opinion and the orthodontist saw NOTHING that needed to be replaced for a crown or root canal not even a filling!! Their equipment is state-of-art art which is another reason for the expense. I came to Brea Dentists for an emergency appointment on a Saturday morning. I booked online and they quickly called to get me set up and checked in. The front desk was very professional and checked my insurance and told me the cost for the evaluation before I came in and then for the treatment before the dr started. I saw Dr Mina Hashemian and she was amazing. She had a great bedside manner. I needed a novocaine shot which always stresses me out, but she had a great technique and I barely felt it. She did a quick and simple procedure and felt better almost immediately. My husband and I both see Dr. G for all of our dental treatments and if she saw children, I would bring our entire family here. From the front desk, Kiki, Laura and everyone here is awesome! I don't know who enjoys coming to the dentist ever, but Dr. G and her team do their very best to work quickly, explain everything in detail, and I couldn't feel a thing when getting my fillings. Wen to the dentist today for the first time ..... in a while. I was worried since I know I need to go regularly and had concerns I hadn't taken the best care of my teeth. Kiki was the assistant and Dr. Gaffino was the dentist. I can't say enough great stuff about them and the entire staff. The receptionist were super nice and helpful. The office was clean and my appointment was on time! The worked efficiently and made sure I was calm and comfortable. She is very to the point but in a great professional way . If I could leave zero stars I would. I came to Brea dentist for a root canal procedure. The doctor and endodontist told me everything went smoothly and they put a porcelain crown over it and I was done with everything same day. About a year later I developed what I thought was a pimple on my gums above the tooth that I had a root canal on. I went back to Dr Gaffino and she refers me to an endodontist stating that I have an abscess. Dr Gaffino would not prescribe me antibiotics even though I was in so much pain. I went to go get a second opinion and they gave me antibiotics saying I had a severe infection. It turns out there was a file left in my root from the root canal and nobody told me. I ended up having to have the tooth pulled. I will definitely be reporting this business to the dental board for negligence. Also the office staff is rude. read more

Even the absolute best dentist in the world would never make this place worth the profoundly incompetent front office. I scheduled a check-up and cleaning online for today at 1pm, last week. I was emailed the confirmation of the appointment. Today, I called at 9:05 am (and was placed on a "brief hold" of 10 mins before speaking to a female staff member) to confirm that there was a hygienist. I have showed up to the same check-up and cleaning appointment before and was told there was no hygienist. The staff member confirmed she saw my appointment for a check-up and cleaning but said she needed me to first set up an account on their new online portal. I clarified I just needed a regular cleaning, the one that my insurance covers for free ,3 times a year, and again asked to confirm there was a hygienist. Her response, "Well I don't know what type of cleaning you want since I can't see your online profile yet." Note: I have been a patient for years. They have all of my info and in 2022, I can't believe that it was beyond comprehension that the office should have called me to ask what type of cleaning I had requested when I scheduled the appointment, so they could schedule the proper hygienist. Instead, they will not lift a finger for the customer, and are fine with making the customer come back a second time to complete a simple check-up and cleaning. My husband has also had multiple issues with this office canceling appointments as well as trying to move his appointment times to earlier in the day, as if clients don't have jobs to pay for their Delta Dental PPO plans! The office nickel and dimes you even when you point out that your specific dental plan covers "3 free cleanings a year, at no cost." They still tack on their "small fee". It's not about the amount of money. I'm left with a bad taste in my mouth and another missed cleaning due to their incompetence. Please go somewhere else. read more

Honest review, I haven't been to the dentist in over 10 years, and it was my first time last year, and I needed lots of work done, down to fillings, root canal, and having my wisdom teeth pulled. Dr. G explained to me everything crystal clear and where to begin. I arrived at my appointment a few minutes early, and I was able to be seen right away. The overall staff were very polite and helpful. Some of the staff members that stood out to me were Saul and Laura, the dental hygienist. She was so gentle and thorough and didn't take too long, which is perfect because I get nervous when it comes to cleaning due to bad experiences in the past. I've been coming here for a few years. The Dr. and staff are very friendly and do good work. The problem is the recent upselling. I've had 3 or 4 crowns done in the past 2 years. The average cost for a crown was approximately $600 or so. This was for a porcelain on metal crown. The other day I went in for a check up and they recommended 2 more crowns. This time though they stated only the Zirconia crown will be offered at a price of $1,400 each. My wife had her first visit the same day and had no issues with her teeth but they recommended $2,000 of services. Unfortunately the wife and I are retired and on a budget and can not afford these prices. Very nice people and good work, but we will have to go somewhere else. read more

Amazing service and flexible hours! Also the dentists are specialists so you will not be running around to different locations for service. They are part of a network so if you need service closer to work or home, the staff will accommodate you. They are great at communicating and available to answer questions. I haven't had a problem with them at all. I first saw them for an emergency then transferred my family care to them. The facility is clean. The staff is great. I have been coming to this office for the past year and they do such a great job! I love how friendly and helpful the front desk is. They always greet you in when you arrive and they make sure you get checked in promptly. They also call you and text you in advance when your appointment date is getting close which is really helpful. The office itself is really clean and the dentist and hygienist are really nice and professional. They accept all types of insurance and I think they even have payment options for the people who don't have insurance as well. Competitive prices and a friendly staff are always nice, but even nicer are the professionals who will explain what they're doing and why without trying to force too many sales on you I was able to schedule an immediate appointment because of a dental emergency and Dr. Phan got right to it, unfortunately not all the work could be done in one day (something about me accidentally biting my tongue off? Lame) so I also saw Dr. Jasdeep the very next day, I messed up and got to my appointment literally 2 and a half hours early and they still took me in! Unforturnately, i have to downgrade my previous review due to the recent consult i had with the on-site oral surgeon. I was quoted over $3,200 dollars (out of pocket) for a procecure that other dentists in the area are quoting me $1,080 for. To make a long story short, the on site oral surgeon here was recommending bone grafts. After seeking 2nd opinions from other dentists, this is not medically necessary for me. Kinda sucks to have a medical professional straight up lie to your face about the condition of your health in an attempt to up-sell a service to you. We're supposed to trust these people. One thing I will stand by is dr Gaffino's expertise. I've always had a pleasant experience with her at this office. Just be aware of any recommendations the other doctors give you here. read more
