Can I give a 6 out of 5 stars? I'm writing this review after he did a crown for me on a front tooth. The color of the crown was not quite there and even though I couldn't see it in the dental office, he pointed it out. We decided to keep the crown on temporarily so that I could whiten my teeth a bit so that my teeth color would be closer to the crown color. Anyways I am super pleased with how it looks now and he was able to fill out some gaps on the front teeth with some bonding. I am finally able to smile and not see my old discolored crown and gap in the gum line. read more

I finally found the PERFECT DENTIST. After years of another dentist in Brea who was not so honest..... My Son turned me on to Dr Bae. First off the office is new and has all the latest equipment. The X rays are easy and for those of you who hate having to take impressions.... Hate no more. They don't use those nasty impression trays that ooze all in your mouth and make you GAG. I don't recall what it called but it's like a pen they put around your teeth and it takes a digital picture of your teeth. Dr. Bae will tell you what procedures you need now and what can wait. There is absolutely no pressure. Dr Bae and his staff are all about making you feel comfortable. I highly recommend Angelica for your teeth cleaning appointments. I also have to mention that if you need a crown...you can have it the same day. How awesome is that? No temporary crown and waiting weeks for it to come in. That's so yesterday! Dr. Bae also has their own dental plan. It is a so worth it. As we all know most Dental insurance is not so great. I also have to mention how great Dr. Bae's office staff is. If you are looking for an HONEST DENTIST with a great staff go see Dr. Bae in Brea. PS if you are Petrified of Dentists..... I needed a second opinion for a root canal treatment, and saw the great Yelp reviews for this practice. They were able to take me in the same day, and treated me as if I were a long time patient. Dr. Bae has great communication skills, and gave me his assessment of my treatment. He also recommended I first go back to my dentist, as he didn't want to encroach on another practice. The thing I appreciated the most is that Dr. Bae said if they were unable to treat me before an upcoming trip, he'd come in on his day off to treat me. Let me start off by saying that I absolutely love Dr. Bae and all of their hygienists. And I also want to say that their office assistants are very friendly. But they hold on to their late policies a little too tightly. I had an appointment today at 1pm and I arrived at 1:18pm. They have a 15 minute late policy where if you come in after that they cancel your appointment. I have never been late before but today, I was late. My fault entirely. However, I can't tell you how many times I've gotten there on time and was left waiting in their lobby for more than 15 minutes because they were so far behind. They told me that they couldn't squeeze me in because they wouldn't have time to do the cleaning properly in such a short amount of time. I get that. But what about the other times you were so far behind and I was left waiting in your lobby? Did you squeeze someone in on that occasion which caused you to behind then? Why couldn't you do the same for me? I was disappointed and they offered to reschedule me for a later date. I moved farther away from them so getting there is hard for me with traffic. So I declined. I told them that if I left today without any services that I wouldn't be coming back. Again, they declined...so I asked them to send me all of my records and left. I immediately found a new dentist afterwards and I am meeting them next week. Again...the actual services they offer are top notch and that's why I went to them even now when I live farther away. But their policies make it impossible for me to continue with them. I'm sorry...I will miss you all. read more

When I retired I had to leave Dr. Bae due to my insurance coverage. I went to two HMZ dentists and service was mediocre and costly. Dr. Bae and his team are phenomenal. If you're here, you're probably looking for a dentist. Well, look no further. I have never met a more skilled, patient, and considerate medical professional than Dr. Bae, and this is not just limited to dentistry, but across all the medical fields I've ever experienced. Sounds exaggerated, but I promise you, it's true. First, the logistics-- Their office is clean and organized. Their staff is very professional and friendly. They are on-time with seeing their patients. The waiting area has a small fridge with water, so if you're like me and might need to sip on a little water to calm any rising anxiety, this really helps. It's a small thing, but it truly makes me feel more comfortable. During Covid, they took every possible measure to make sure their patients got a safe experience. Like if I got Covid, it couldn't have been from their practice. Now onto why I'll always go to CornerStone-- I have severe sensitivity to anything in my mouth, from swallowing pills to daily teeth brushing. I also have past trauma and complications due to other dental experiences growing up. As a result, I'm not the easiest dental patient to treat, but Dr. Bae and his team have never ever made me feel bad, physically, mentally, or emotionally. They take certain precautions to make sure I'm comfortable, which includes, but not limited to, scheduling a slightly longer treatment window, so I can take short small breaks during the procedure whenever my anxiety peaks; being extremely precise with treatment and wielding the dental instruments; being super quick and accurate with the x-rays; verbally captioning everything that is happening so that I know what to expect; and even going as far as empathetically discussing the source of my stress with me to help reduce teeth grinding and clenching at night. He also takes into consideration of my gastrointestinal problems and how that could affect my teeth. I have anxiety that I can't control when it comes to dental procedures, but Dr. Bae and his team always manages to help calm this fear. I have never had my gag reflex triggered at CornerStone Dental. The care I've received here is unparalleled. I've moved since I've been a patient of Dr. Bae's, and I've tried another highly rated dental office on a family member's recommendation due to the closer proximity of the latter office, but the new experience just made me appreciate everything I've experienced at CornerStone even more. My husband and I highly recommend Cornerstone Dental Care, and we've been coming for almost 10 years. Dr. Bae and his staff take their time to get to know you really well and work with gentle-handedness. What brings me to write this review is the recent experience I had with a really old broken crowned molar that another dentist had worked on a very long time ago. Ugh! Eek! Yikes! I called Cornerstone and I was seen right away. Dr. Bae carefully examined it and found that my crown broke in 2 places. The whole procedure was painless from start to finish. He was really skilled at replacing it with a much better looking, stronger crown and getting my bite back to normal again. Dr. Bae and his staff does a thorough job in being transparent with explaining the whole entire dental treatment procedure, the pricing, and any follow-ups. Even though we live farther away, we have continue coming to Dr. Bae's office. Their office is very clean, well-maintained, well-ventilated, consistently adhering to Covid-19 safety guidelines (politely requesting masks, temperature and health screening, hand sanitizers available), and the background acoustic music is relaxing. The dental hygienists are all very skilled whenever we go in for regular cleanings. I especially enjoy how their waiting rooms are never crowded and never over-booked. I recently had my last appt at Dr Bae's office and my smile is back and so is my confidence. Cornerstone is amazing!!! I had some decent dentists in the past, and some not so decent ones but Dr Bae really impressed me with his skills. I've never been one to be afraid of a dentist but have never liked receiving the numbing shots nor liked getting my teeth cleaned with the mechanical tool. But during one fateful visit to Dr Bae, where I needed a numbing shot, I was prepping for the pinch, followed by the pressure pain, but when he asked if everything felt OK I was floored. I didn't even know he had already inserted the needle nor did I at any point feel any pressure pain from the injection. AMAZING!! The hygienists are awesome too as they are not too rough and will utilize mechanical or manual tool for the cleaning process. The staff is great, friendly, and are really good about their follow up. I like the place and the people that work there are very nice. But their just too busy to accommodate me. I work 9-5 and so I'm only available on the weekends or later in the day. The office is closed at 5pm everyday. It doesn't make sense for me to take a day off work just to go to the dentist. Granted they have appointments on Saturday too but it's booked up months in advance. I called one time to reschedule and they told me the earliest Saturday appointment was in 6 months. Best dentist I've ever been to. I have been referring all my friends and family here. When I first came here I came with the intent of just getting a second opinion. My previous dentist whom I trusted said I needed two root canals and several fillings. I had some sensitivity for my upper molars she said I needed root canals for, but had no issues whatsoever for the other cavities she told me I needed to treat. After a very thorough exam from Dr. Bae, he said I didn't have any cavities except a small one between my front teeth. He told me my teeth sensitivity wasn't from a cavity but from my gum receding at my molars. He recommended fluoride rinse and toothpaste for sensitive teeth. When I entered the doors I was blown away at the layout of this modern dental office! I was instantly greeted by the awesome office manager, Kelly and she was so welcoming and helpful. As soon as I finished the new patient paperwork - Dr. Bae pleasantly introduced me to his digital dental office. I'm a fan of technology and I've never seen another medical office even come close. When they took my x-rays I was able to see the pictures on the computer screen right away. Dr. Bae made sure everything was explained clearly throughout my cleaning. My husband and I have been coming to cornerstone dental care since 2012. Dr bae and his team have always been exceptional and our experiences are great at every visit. I had an after hours emergency tonight bc I so happened to somehow lodge a small piece of fish bone in my teeth which immediately resulted in pressure and super tight teeth spacing - so tight that it was impossible to run floss through the 4 teeth in that area - floss would just break. I have to say this is a classic version of "don't judge a book by its cover". When I pulled up to the shopping center where the office is I was a little skeptical because of the surrounding stores. Not that the center is dirty or anything but it's right by a liquor store which sent up a red flag. However, I was totally wrong in my thinking! The office is very clean and very modern in regards to the technology they use. The office staff was very friendly and accommodating. Dental cleanings are usually painful, but not here! The Dr. Bae and his staff are very knowledgeable and informative. This isn't a typical assembly line type of dental practice where the dentist is working on three people at the same time. After my cleaning and x-rays, Dr. Bae sat with me for almost an hour talking about his practice (since I'm a new patient) and then giving a thorough discussion regarding my dental health via an exam and my x-rays. The staff makes you feel very welcome and comfortable. They also do not try to push procedures on you that you do not need. (That has been the case with a lot of dentists I've gone to in the past...they try to talk you into all of this work so they can make money off of you.) I'm a cash patient (aka no insurance) so dental work can be extremely expensive. Their prices here are fair and they provide multiple options for financing the work you have done. All in all, I am very impressed with Dr. Bae and his staff and am definitely happy to have found such a great dentist! I actually look forward to going to see the dentist now! I recently changed insurance plans so I figured now was the time to take advantage of what I could from my old insurance. I had neglected taking great care of my teeth for 2-3 years because I haven't had the best experiences with dentists in the past. I explained my situation with Amber and Dr. Bae and they sat down with me and helped me figure out what would save me money and even squeezed in appointments in order for me to benefit the most out of both insurances! I even think Dr. Bae had to squeeze me in during one of his lunches that way I can take full advantage of insurance and costs. That is amazing service if you ask me :) On top of all of that, Dr. Bae sits down with you and makes you feel extremely welcomed and comfortable. He and his staff do a fantastic job at making you feel at ease and that you aren't just another patient; you're more than that. I even sat down with him and talked about popular restaurants and he wrote down a few recommendations and even recommended what to order. I heartily recommend Cornerstone Dental. I was really impressed with how friendly the staff was which put me at ease for the rest of the appointment. I liked that I could download the patient forms from their website ahead of time, ensuring that I didn't have to fill them out in a hurry in the office. My last dentist retired, and it had been a couple years since my last checkup. I was afraid of getting a scolding for putting it off for so long, but I got nothing but positive encouragement from Dr. Bae. After the x-rays were taken (I got to see them appear as they were shot which was pretty cool), Dr. Bae went over what he saw and then let me know how my teeth were doing and what areas I needed to work on. I'd never had that level of detail before. He let me know some options available to make my smile better that I hadn't known about before. The cleaning was good and thorough, but wasn't too rough to handle. He went over what he was doing all the time and what I could do to make the cleanings go even better in the future. I wish I could give this dentist 10 stars. I went to visit Cornerstone Dental Care based on the Yelp reviews so I'd first like to thank the previous reviewers because visiting a dentist was one of the major traumas in my life. After all if you have teeth you need a dentist. If you don't go eventually you won't have teeth. Why is visiting a dentist so scary? I don't know what the answer is for you but you may be interested in what happened to me. Years ago I started getting panic attacks. I have no clue where they come from, or what causes them. I can only speculate. However, right after they started when I visited my dentist at the time I went into a full blown attack. Scared the hell out of her. I jumped out of the chair and demanded that she take the clamp out of my tooth. She of course said she could not or what she was doing would be totally fouled up. Her assistant ran into the room, took one look at me, panic stricken and asked what was wrong. I said I don't know but feel my heart. She put her hand on my chest and jumped back. That's how hard my heart was beating. It was just about to pop out of my chest. Anyway we managed to muddle through it and the years following I would visit a dentist here and there and did manage to find one that I liked but again in his chair on one of the visits as they were moving the tools around and clanking them I panicked and had to leave. Fortunately he understood and didn't even charge me. My husband still goes to him and he is a good guy. So a couple of years pass and I have another unpleasant experience after I got the nerve to try another dentist. This one was way out in Bellflower. I live in Brea. The staff was at a health fair and I was very impressed with the rep. Based on this I made an appt. Bad move. On this visit they decided to give me a prescription for anxiety, and also a prescription for an antibiotic since I have a heart murmur. What made this bad is that they wanted my husband to run out and get the rx and have me take them and stay there until the drugs took effect and they could do the work. No. They also told me when I asked what my co-payment would be that it would be nothing out of pocket for me. Something definitely wrong with this answer. I never went back. So fast forward again. I know I need the dentist so I come on Yelp. Read the great reviews about Dr. Bae and decide to take another chance. The reviews were glowing. I visit his office and get a teeth cleaning first. Okay, I can handle this. Loved the hygenist. She was super. Next visit I get xrays, meet the doc and tell him my whole dental story. He acknowledges everything that happened to me. Explained that offering me an anti anxiety med without knowing my health history was a very bad idea. Aside from the fact that it's a mind altering drug there was no way to know how my body would react to the medication. I loved this guy already. So fast forward. I'm done after 4 visits and at the last one I tell them I never thought I would say this but I'm going to miss you guys! Dr. Bae has the most organized, warm inviting staff. He does things on a gradient and doesn't overwhelm you. He talks to you, listens to your concerns. Then he explains the treatment needed and the best approach based on your situation. He knew all about my panic attacks and he told me that he would help me work through them without any medication or drugs that would mess up my mind. I am so grateful I met him! What was even more fun is we shared some common interests. Dr. Bae is very involved with his church and goes to Mexico to do volunteer dentistry. The area that he went to I was familiar with because as a young woman I used to live there. It's called Bahia de San Quintin. Believe the Hype! Thank you, Yelp, for helping me find this great dental office! It's been just under three years since I last had my teeth checked because I disliked my last dentist and continually made every excuse not to go in the past. But after seeing Dr. Bae and planning a course of action for my teeth with him, getting my teeth cleaned by Angelica, and being so welcomed by the rest of the wonderful staff at Cornerstone Dental Care, I'm now looking for any excuse to go see them! Like many of the reviews already posted, the experience of going to Cornerstone Dental Care was an incredibly pleasant one, and that's after knowing there is some work to be done with my teeth (totally my own fault for not seeing anyone for a few years). I felt very reassured by Dr. Bae and his staff because they took the time to go over all of my options in terms of keeping my mouth healthy for the future. I never felt like I was in the dark as I did with my past dentist and the overall feeling of the office just seemed like they genuinely cared. These guys are so good that I will eagerly pass the 3 other dental offices that are closer to my home (I practically share a parking lot with one) just to see them! What are you waiting for? To start... Dr. Bae and his team are beyond phenomenal! From the receptionists to the back of the house, you can feel the genuine hearts that goes into all their hard work. I've only been with Dr. Bae and his team for a couple years, but it has been the best experience. The comfort and ease that goes through each check ups and procedures is amazing. I used to be terrified of going to the dentist and would avoid having to go due to horrible childhood experiences. I've recieved cleanings, fills, whitening and crowns.... all services has been spectacular. Today I had just completed the last phase of a major transformation and I can't thank them enough. THANK YOU YELP! After my last dentist left my mouth a mess due to shoddy work and sub par equipment, Dr. Bae definitely had his work cut out for him. I had no idea what to expect when I walked into his office with no insurance card and a mouth in need of serious rescue. Not only was his office staff incredibly helpful in tracking down my insurance information, but they even reorganized the Dr.s schedule to squeeze me in as a walk in! Amazing service! Then I went in to see Dr. Bae. Let's just say I wasn't expecting someone so young... He was kind, personable, professional, and genuinely wanted to hear my story and what had happened with my previous dentist. His staff took Xrays right there on the spot and showed them to me instantly on the computer screen right on my chair! Then the doctor explained to me exactly what was wrong and what all the options were for fixing the issue. Again - Incredible service. Definitely my new dentist, and I couldn't recommend him highly enough! read more

Dr. Bae is simply the best at what he does! Dr. Bae fit me with Invisalign, and after about a year, I now have PERFECTLY straight teeth. I am so pleased with the results, and so happy that I chose Dr. Bae. He genuinely cares, is extremely skilled, patiently explains everything to me, and is up-to-date with all the latest in dental care, which is exactly what I want in a dentist. I highly recommend him! I was referred to Dr. Bae from a friend. Beginning with the first email contact to the actual dental visit I was left very satisfied with the whole process. Scheduling an appointment was really easy because his office manager Kelly was friendly and helpful. The only challenging thing was finding his office due to it being tucked away in the inside corner of the plaza. Other than that, the warm ambience was welcoming which was a nice change from other offices that I have visited in the past. The dental exam was painless. He asked for feedback on how I was doing throughout the exam. He explained each step of the exam and allowed me to ask questions whenever possible. What's unique about this particular experience is that he explained the why and how in the whole process. Dr. Bae also emphasized preventative care and reviewed proper flossing techniques as well as recommending the best toothbrush for my teeth. Dr. Bae was very professional and he definitely values the patient-doctor relationship. I highly recommend Dr. Bae for any dental work. read more
