Reena was an absolute gem of a make up artist and mehendi designer for my wedding. She was easy to work with and very professional throughout our whole professional relationship. Her mehendi designs are unique and beautiful. She took inspiration from the designs I had sent and created a bridal design that I haven't seen anywhere before. Every single person's mehendi darkened very well. My bridal mehendi stayed for several weeks after the event. She was very attentive to what I wanted for my makeup and communicative at each step. The final look for exactly what I wanted - to look like myself as a bride, where the makeup accentuated my natural features. The hairstyle she did was also perfect and exactly what I wanted. I have to mention sari draping. I'm a complete novice at wearing saris so I've had many a ladies drape saris for me. Reena was by far the best of them all. The way she prepped the sari and draped it made me look like my petite self without any fluff and the sari stayed put together throughout the whole 10 hours that I wore it. Pricing wise, my total (7 mehendi including bridal mehendi, bridal make up, sari draping for 3) was slightly less than I had anticipated but on par with the quotes I was given by others. I just visited Reena on Friday, and I couldn't be happier with my experience! I called her last minute, and she was so kind to take me in. Reena is incredibly detailed and really listens to how you want your eyebrows to look. I recently moved back to SD and was in need of a convenient, reasonably priced, and quality brow threading service. Did some research on Yelp and Reena's Threading was easily the top choice for this area of SD. I was able to text the number listed on Yelp and schedule a same-day appointment (within the hour actually) within her listed business hours. Reena provided clear directions to find her since the location is actually a bit more challenging to find on your own. Her small space is located on the first floor in the glass 5-story commercial office building after you pass through the 150 Regus glass doors receptionist. There is plenty of parking. Reena was warm and welcoming to me as a first-time client. She did a brief consultation where she assessed the shape of my brows and pattern of hair growth and gave me some suggestions for shaping and asked for my feedback before just jumping in and getting started. She took a more conservative approach, only taking off a little bit of hair at a time and then checking in for my approval. The service was quick, gentle, and almost painless which is rare for me when it comes to brow threading. She finished by providing a bit of a trim and cleaning off with some witch hazel. I'm really happy with how my brows turned out. She prefers to accept cash or Zelle which is very convenient for me. Came recently for the first time and she was very easy to schedule with over text, was understanding when I was a few minutes late when I was struggling to find the building/parking. I usually can never get my upper lip threaded because it's too painful but she was able to do it with minimal pain. She's also covid conscious and has changed her threading technique so she's not putting the thread in her mouth. She was able to keep my eyebrows as thick as possible while still having a good shape. From the first moment I met Reena, I was truly impressed with how she personalizes her service for you. I've gone to a handful of different people to have my eyebrows threaded, and each time they just sat me down on the chair without saying a word to me. Sometimes they would sort of scrunch their face to imply that they didn't really like my eyebrows in the first place. One person in the past removed most of my left brow in order to "fix it", but didn't tell me until it was already done. It began to feel like a chore going to get my eyebrows threaded because of all this, so I would push it off -- which invariably lead to plucking disasters. My eyebrows began to feel tortured as a result. But going to see Reena was a completely different experience. The first question she asked me was "how do you feel about your eyebrows?" Her question actually caught me off guard. No one had ever asked me that before. My response was that I didn't like them. She then explained in a warm and concise way why they weren't working for me, and what strategies we could use to improve them. She recommended that I get castor oil and apply it every night to help them grow, which I am currently doing and having great results.
