When you are already dealing with a sensitive situation, this can be very stressful. I also had an opportunity to speak with Nancy regarding what happened. I explained the timeline of events and went through what happened and when. After I finished explaining everything, there was an extended pause, and the only response I received was, "Yes, April can call you." I left the conversation feeling like my concerns had not really been heard or addressed. I do want to recognize April for trying to be helpful and assist with the situation. I appreciate that she has made an effort to help. My biggest concern is the communication and how the situation was handled. I had an appointment scheduled, and weeks later I was still having to scramble to establish care and figure out what was happening. I feel that a simple misunderstanding could have been handled with better communication and understanding from the beginning. I am sharing this because I think patients should be aware of my experience. People are often coming to a medical office during stressful and vulnerable times, and clear communication, patience, and understanding can make a big difference. Later, both Blue Shield and Optum confirmed she never billed. After I asked my money back, she claimed through insurance. Don't even think twice, go find another doctor.

Best blood test I've ever had-- I didn't feel a thing and I wish I could take her to every appointment when blood needs to be drawn. After two weeks, I finally received my test results. Only one had a note from the practice explaining what those results meant. Thankfully, we live in an age of AI so chatGPT explained what my AMH results meant. All in all, I doubt I'll ever go back to this practice. Paying $300 to be treated as if my presence is a disruption isn't worth it to me. I left this office with nothing gained except negative emotions. Maybe it's not a space for young and employed women of color.
