Reedco completed an extensive renovation of a 2 bedroom, 1 bath apartment for us. Although we had ideas of what should be done, we listened to Bob's suggestions and ended up accepting pretty much all of them. We felt confident his approach made a lot of sense. However, since this was the first project Reedco did for us, we weren't 100% sure how it was going to unfold, but we are happy to say all went well. The crew was as nice and as accommodating as one can expect. Although the project took a little longer than we had planned, the result was spectacular. Bob is the best of the best!!! The ground floor of my home was flooded by broken pipes. Bob was the biggest blessing in an otherwise horrible experience. From the beginning he was on my side and helped me every step of the way and with his amazing, expert vision he transformed my space into something beautiful that I could not have imagined. He saw right away what needed to change- remove a partial wall, relocate the kitchen door, etc. He is especially fantastic with kitchen cabinets. The cabinets he put in are so beautiful and functional and cost about a 1/3 of custom cabinets. When it comes to cabinets Bob is THE best. His team is wonderful and I loved having them work in my home and getting to know them. Reymundo is super and multi-talented. All the tile work he did- 2 bathroom floors, the fireplace and the kitchen backsplash are gorgeous. I also got all new hardwood floors, new French doors in my office, 2 refinished bathrooms and all new paint. Bob also had the great advice to reglaze the bathtub wall in one bathroom. I was dubious at first but Bob got a first rate person who does high quality porcelain glaze and the result is perfect. Bob was with me on every detail and helped me make great choices. His crew showed up early & started working right away. On the 1st bathroom project they had to remove the old cast iron tub, faucet & tiles off the wall. They did this amazingly with minimal dust. After a long standing contractor relationship with ReedCo, the entire business relationship fell apart when the owner tried to scam us on a major repair job. We had worked together on multiple jobs, but ultimately the loyalty was not there, as well as zero trust, and zero respect. We had asked Bob to remodel one of our units, however it ended up being way overpriced for the work and materials used. He said he knew the best affordable materials to use to attract renters, and so we trusted him to make some decisions and it resulted in getting taken advantage of. DO NOT TRUST THIS GUY TO HAVE YOUR BEST INTEREST!! Upon looking at the invoice and going through the unit, they had also charged us for work not completed. This was a huge cause for alarm and this red flag should have resulted in us not hiring for the next project, but we mistakenly did! Down the line... the unit did not pass inspection and needed Bob to help fix the circuit since he had done some electrical work in the unit. His response was to provide an outrageous $2,500 estimate to fix the problem he created. After we reached out for months, he NEVER got back to us to fix the work and we had to hire someone else. He then had the audacity to text back one day saying he thought the problem was fixed. Unacceptable. Our final exchange happened when ReedCo tried to cut corners on a dry rot repair. The work included removing and replacing all rotted siding on all 4 buildings of a multi-family complex. Bob agreed to match another company's price and scope of work that included priming all six sides of the siding to protect against any future dry rot. Upon inspecting the work and talking to the project manager, we were told that all 6 sides were not being primed as agreed upon. This then resulted in a lot of back and forth until ReedCo ultimately receded and agreed to do the work over again. Bob, the owner communicated poorly and would get ornery and belittle us in the process. To top it off, Bob then slapped us a with an additional $15k dollars worth of trim work that was never communicated. Bob of course did not consult us about this additional charge and thought it would be best to surprise us in the end. It was also hard not to think it was a way for him to recoup money lost in having to do the work over again. STAY AWAY! read more

He was incredibly patient and helpful in recommending designs and finishes for our remodel. Bob is always true to his word and takes a lot of pride in his work. I contacted bob after finding him via Berkeley Parents Network. I needed a 240v power drop from our panel on one side of the house to the garage on the other. Bob showed up on time, gave me a reasonable quote, and had a guy do the work shortly thereafter. IIRC there were 2 guys actually doing the labor, electrician and an assistant. replaced the entire panel on the house as the original was recalled at some point, new piping to the roof where we get service, ran the 240 line through the basement, and, as a bonus, put a subpanel in the garage and put an extra outlet in the garage as well. (this wasn't on the initial quote) The Sub panel has turned out really useful as we acquired a second electric car last week. read more

I was introduced to Bob by a mutual friend. He came over to my home and we talked about the renovations I wanted to make. He gave me a very fair price and assured me that his guys are quality. I can't say enough nice things about his two workers: Jesus and Giovanni. They are professional and respectful. Gary also is very knowledgeable and gave me some great ideas for how to position the tiles on the floor and he project managed everything very well. He was here every morning to assure that all was on schedule and answer my many questions. I had my bathroom and laundry room renovated. Brand new floors, new vanity, etc. I also had baseboards put in on all my bedrooms upstairs (one year overdue!). The workmanship is awesome! I was home the entire time they were here and I can see how well it all came together and the work they put in to it. In addition, I also needed to replace my heating and air system and Bob referred me to his AC man. Remarkable work at a very fair price (compared to some of the companies that gave me quotes.) I was hoping to hire Reedco for an electrical job in my home. I spoke with Bob and we scheduled a time for him to come see the house and give me an estimate. An hour before the scheduled time, he called me to push back the appointment by an hour (which was fine). At the rescheduled time, he called to ask to reschedule again for the next day. We picked a new time, and I came home from work early to accommodate the meeting. He never showed up. I texted to see what was up and never heard back. We made an appointment for the next day to go over various projects that I wanted done. I needed my kitchen area to be larger, and wanted a new bathroom.. We discussed what the best route to go and what I needed to accomplish what I wanted with a limited budget. He gave me a lot of good ideas and was very reasonable with his price. He recommended that I check out a couple of places that give great prices on materials. He even offer to take me around to some of the vendors that he gets his supply's from and mention that I was on a budget and he would like to stay under that and still give me what I wanted done. When it was all done and over with he was able to purchase all the material need for way under the budget. To make a long story short, the job was done exceptional well with Bob being there continuously to make sure everything I wanted done was done how I wanted and before completing one project he wanted me to inspect the job and was it to my liking. I couldn't believe the care and dedication his workers had in getting the job completely perfectly and to my liking. I enjoyed being there every step of the way of having my new kitchen and bathroom. Not only did it looked better than I thought it would he gave me everything I wanted plus a few extra's. The best part was he got the job completed ahead of time and under my budget I love his company and would use his workers and him for anything I need done. They made sure that every night when they left everything was put up and out of the way so no one would get hurt around their working equipment. I've had a loyal general contractor for 10 years and multiple remodels now. However with market picking back up he was booked 6 months out but referred me to Bob Reed. I got a late night phone call from a tenant who walked into 2 inches of standing water in the condo due to the upstairs neighbors flood. Bob scheduled an emergency service (after hours, on a Sunday!) and had 3 guys on site within an hour fully equipped. Within a couple hours they had the water off the floors, carpet removed with fans and heaters going- the tenant was sleeping back in his bed same night. A day later he set up appointments with the HOA, insurance company and owners of both units with his crew. He dealt with the insurance company, gutted the unit, removed everything that had any potential of molding and went above and beyond our expectations in every way- Prompt, efficient, honest and reliable.
