DJ was very responsive and gave great ideas on how to get my vision and budget to come together. She provided a gorgeous rainbow balloon arch & she also filled my own store-bought Mylar & latex balloons which she attached to ribbons and weights into lovely bouquets for the party. She provided home delivery and disassembly/ pickup of her arch structure supplies the next day- I didn't have to do anything- so convenient! The arch was a showstopper at our event and a memorable focal point for kids dancing/playing underneath and taking pictures in front of. I highly recommend Celebrations Unlimited to everyone!

We used Celebrations for wedding planning in October 2015. At first meeting some months prior to the event all seemed congenial. This was a same sex wedding and DJ seemed OK with that and touted experience with the same. She frequently asks about your "vision." Although this seems more appropriate for a bride and a groom, we told he what we wanted. She assured us that changes happen along the way and that she is flexible and would work with us. This was not the case. The event was quite successful. Except for having the chairs in the correct place, coordinating the actual day of the event, cake and flowers , we can give no credit to Celebrations Unlimited for this success. Working with them was most unpleasant and just got worse as we got closer to the date. We found that she accepts little responsibility for errors and not accommodating for special requests. Unfortunately, from correspondence to correspondence you never know which DJ you're going to get. Our "VISION" was to have a wedding planner that would provide the service in a seamless way and reduce stress. This is not what we got. They are unresponsive to phone calls and emails and simply created more stress. We requested a bill on three occasions and received it one week before the wedding. The cost for chairs, water, flowers, cake and planning the day of the wedding was $6500.00. We had just over 100 people and arranged the photographer, reception and rehearsal dinner ourselves. All in all, the wedding was a huge success. My recommendation is to interview more than one planner, Celebrations Unlimited could be one of them. Establish your costs up front. Ask for references! If it is a different wedding, like two brides or grooms, make sure the planner has experience with this. Buyer beware and know what you are doing! Unfortunately we did not.

I hired her as a "part-time" planner as I knew I wanted to hire my vendors and then hand everything off to her a few months before the wedding. She provided vendor recommendations for the few I had yet to book late last year, and was SO communicative the entire process, which I really appreciate. I am pretty Type A and like things to happen a certain way, and not only did I have ZERO stress leading up to the wedding and on the wedding day, Lindsey made the whole process easy and FUN, which is how it should be!!! Over the email she was so honest and told me she would not be the right fit but took the time to talk to me and helped me to figure out what exactly I should be asking for and also gave me the option that she would help me if nothing else worked out. This is the most assuring thing anyone can say. Nicki connected me to other folks who were able to help me out. Nicki is genuinely interested in making events happen and it is her true passion that she helps you find the right people even if she has no monetary benefit from it. Nicki pulled out every trick in the book to help us find creative ways to make our vision a reality within our budget, suggesting ways to cut corners where it wouldn't matter so we can put our cash and energy towards the elements of the weekend that would have the biggest impact for us and our guests. There were numerous occasions when we were drowning in decisions where Nicki swooped in with straight-up pep talks, and she introduced us to so many incredible vendors and insider hook-ups which all came together to create a more magical day than we could have ever imagined for the relatively small budget we were working with. Plus, she has a genius eye for design and incredible calligraphy skills, so definitely take her up on her beautiful signage if you can! I feel like as many of our guests posted pictures of our gorgeous menu board that Nicki made as they did of us! Bottom line -- Nicki is the sweetest, goofiest, most generous and TALENTED badass planner you could ever hope for. (For the original one, along with the owner's replies, please check Facebook). The grounds are nice and there are a few different options to perform the ceremony. Unfortunately driving up to the ceremony locations is just a dirty dirt driveway through some smelly horse stables that will convince everyone they are in the wrong place. I would give 3 stars for location, 0 for the drive in. Customer service is where they loose the stars. There is none. The owner, Ted, is selfish, rude, and has no idea what customer service is.     I worked with a friend on her wedding and just days before it was to happen this venue seemed to do…read moreeverything they could to ruin it. They ignored their contract and began demanding more and more money the week before and day of the wedding, and this was on top of the hefty deposit they already had paid plus the rental fees themselves which were already paid in full. I'm a fifteen year veteran of major events planning, having worked throughout the US and I knew what to ask at the time of making the contract, things like: when can we get into decorate? How long do we have to decorate? What can we do and cannot do in the reception hall? What do you provide and what do we need, such as ladders etc...? All answer where reasonable and acceptable at the time of contract a year in advance but when it came down to the time to decorate, I repeated the questions again because of the importance of working out the time availability of the people who would be doing the work for us and everything was fine with the owner then too, until we showed up on the day to work and then the guy said he didn't have anything that was contracted to be available to us such as ladders etc. and disappeared. Then the guy's wife, who I had never met before, came out and said we couldn't be there at all and we had to leave and come back the next day because they were not ready for us. We contracted to be there on that day and time and she didn't care, she wanted us out because she said they had to sweep first. We said we'd sweep but she wouldn't let us. It was ridiculous. When we came back the next day, just me and the bride, to decorate because all the help was not available, she then had all these additional rules about not hanging stuff in the air. Can you imagine an event place where you can't hang anything? All the money that went into beautiful decorations was wasted even though I spoke personally with the owner to clarify everything we could and couldn't do months in advance. When I explained our written contract made with him to her she then said if we came early the next day for the scheduled wedding rehearsal we could set the decorations up then but when we came two hours early to put up the tables and chairs and dress them and set up the food area before the rehearsal, we were told there would be a $300 added charge for the extra time. WHAT? We were forced to come and go at their whim even though we had a contract with specific times to do things and they wanted to charge us for doing things outside these times? It was weird that we never saw the owner and the wife at the same time and they always denied what the other told us or said they didn't see the contract so they didn't have to follow it. They said that we had to pay the extra costs the next day before the wedding for the time we took "trying to decorate" in cash or the wedding would be canceled. We came the next day, the day of the wedding, and threw the tables and food together with the help of guests as they arrived and the bride paid the venue their extortion money so her wedding could go on. It was that terrible of a situation. I couldn't believe people could be so mean to people who were trying to create the happiest day of their lives. Well, most stuff didn't get done, even though the guests jumped in to help but the place was presentable and there were some really bad feeling about the whole situation so the party ended two hours early because everyone was tired and the place still had to be cleaned up or they would charge them another $300 for any overtime. Given the comments by other reviewers, this venue should be avoided at all costs.
