We signed Angela as our planner in May 2010 to help us with our Napa Valley destination wedding in October 2010. As we were planning our wedding from Asia and had less than 5 months til the big day, we needed a planner who was available and flexible to meet our demanding schedules. She claimed to be the "BEST PLANNER IN NAPA", provided us with "great" references, and assured us that she was very experienced in working with overseas clientele, so we paid our 50% of the fee to go ahead with Angela. (Note, she also emailed us that another party wanted to sign with her for an October 2010 event and given she has a quota of events she can do, we felt some time pressure... though, it was still our fault we didn't spend enough time to look around more thoroughly). Unfortunately, shortly after signing the contract we realized Angela was not right for us. We found out early on that her schedule was not very flexible to our needs and she was at times even unaware of the drastic time zone differences. Apart from canceling & re-scheduling several of our conference calls, she was unable to meet us for two separate in person appointments that we had flown in for from Asia. The first time was a brief business visit to the Bay Area, but given the short notice of our travel itinerary and not being her clients yet, we gave her the benefit of the doubt. But she was unavailable again when we planned to do another week long visit to the Bay Area/Napa to do our wedding site check and by that time, she was our planner. Maybe she was stretched too thin, or we were too far away, or we were not considered a big budget wedding, or that she often flies back and forth between Napa and southern California...but nonetheless something was wrong. Within the first week of signing on, Angela was out of pocket for the first few days, then she emailed to reschedule our conference calls that week and by the end of the week, we were told she would not be able to accommodate us when we were in town for our site check. With the distance and impending time crunch until the wedding, it was at that moment that we realized this was not going to work out and that Angela would not be able to provide the service we needed. We explained this to her over the phone and reiterated our concerns over email before asking if we could receive our money back or be billed for the work she had already done so that we could mutually cancel the contract. We thought this was a reasonable request given that only a few hours of work had been done so far and that our schedules just could not match hers. However, she was surprised at our request and refused to not only not provide the requested refund, but also stopped returning our calls and emails to work out an amicable solution. In the end, we were able to find a different wedding planner and had an incredible wedding. However, we are deeply disappointed that Angela seemed more focused on her bottom line than caring about the wedding couples who have been saving and working so hard for their special day...

Kate and her team did such an incredible job. I initially had a phone consultation with Kate, then met with her in person and continued to correspond with her through email during a 9-month period. Kate was very responsive to any questions I had and was flexible in making revisions to our proposal (which she did countless times). She was also understanding of our budget and tried to find ways to minimize our costs. The Lux arrived on time the day of our wedding and had everything set up prior to our guests entering the Barrel Room for dinner. Everything was absolutely beautiful, and we were very pleased with The Lux's service. I highly recommend them for any special occasion!

We had chandeliers hung over tables and a large chandelier over our sweetheart table. The room had wall washes in red and a fantastic draping over the front of the hall. Years later, and I discover that my wedding photos have been featured (without my prior approval) on their website. I emailed them and followed up twice for them to be removed, as I prefer to keep my personal life private, and they have unprofessionally not responded in over a month. I find such behavior to be not only rude and unprofessional, but unethical. By the way, at least one of the five star reviews written on their page seems to be from a family member. I'm concerned about the ethics of their practice and their lack of responsiveness as well as decent courtesy to existing and former clients.

From our first meeting with Christa, we knew that she was going to be an amazing planner based on her outgoing personality, excitement and honesty of wedding planning. We provided her with our initial vision, discussed different budget options, ideas and loved how she was completely realistic and attentive to our needs. As our special day approached, we worked very closely with Christa on finalizing all the fine details of our wedding day and rehearsal dinner (vendors, etc). A week before the event, we heavily monitored the weather and were completely bummed when we realized rain was very likely for our ceremony under the redwoods. Just when panic set in, Christa reminded us "it's good luck to rain on your wedding day". Christa's absolute cheery and calm demeanor assured us that our day would not be ruined despite the rain. She helped us come up with a contingency plan and jumped right into action, making phone calls to different rental companies looking for a tent and helped to secure one very last minute. When we were ordering every clear bubble umbrella in a 50 mile radius, she was very kind to pick up additional ones near her home. There wasn't anything she wasn't willing to do. Once our wedding weekend started, Christa's amazing multi-tasking skills, organization and attention to detail came into play. She assisted with our rehearsal, making it run smoothly and completely stress free. She put my mom's worry to rest and had the rehearsal dinner set up beautifully. On our wedding day, Christa and her assistant worked their wedding magic. They turned our vision into more than we could have imagined. From the gorgeous set up of the tent, to the decor in the reception hall, dessert table, welcome table etc, we were quite impressed and in awe when we saw it for the first time. So many people complimented us on how smoothly our event went and that is a true testament to Christa's amazing professionalism, planning, and coordination. We hired Sydney Camille events for our wedding in June of 2023, and upon signing the contract I heard nothing from the planners and was told I was foolish to think we could book anything (venue, makeup artists, Florists, photographers) until December. We paid for the full package and got zero support in finding a venue. Lauren Hutton knew our budget and showed us the most expensive venue in all of Napa county, which was clearly outside of what we could afford. She kept telling us that she never heard back from venues/vendors but when I reached out to them directly, they were extremely responsive and we were able to set up tours within the next week. Lauren Hutton "terminated" our contract after only two months and after only booking one vendor for us and kept all of our money--which was $10k for the full package!!! She had said on a phone call that she would return some of our money and then sent an email with falsified hours and responded to our emails telling us to "take her to small claims court". My husband and I are the most easy going people in the world, Lauren was clearly out of her depths and literally stole our money and ran. Lauren shortly after "left the business" and we were told by some of her vendors that we aren't the first people she has done this to. BE CAREFUL if you ever work with her, she is a fraud. We found another wedding planner who was AMAZING and had the most delightful experience with her.
