As a wedding coordinator, I work in the service industry and fully understand how event days can unfold. This is a professional and honest review based on my experience. To start, Shannon was great with communication. She was quick to respond, sent the invoice in a timely manner, and her pricing was fair. I appreciated her professionalism during the booking process. However, the day of the party didn't go as smoothly as I had hoped. Shannon arrived about 20 minutes late, which was stressful as we were in the final stages of setup. The balloon arch she installed looked okay, but it was much more basic than the detailed and creative installations I had seen on her social media--which was a major reason I booked her. I'm glad I provided a bright colorful banner to dress it up as the arch didn't include the fruit balloon accents we had discussed and confirmed via Instagram DMs. I had also let her know in advance that I'd be supplying tassels for helium balloons, which were a part of the overall vision. Unfortunately, she used retail-store helium tanks that weren't strong enough to hold up the balloons with the tassels. I've used professional-grade helium in the past and didn't have this issue, so it was disappointing that I couldn't use a key part of the decor I had spent time preparing. Additionally, I asked if she had a few extra balloons to add to our welcome sign. She said she might. I said let's focus on the arch and if there's time, we can add that. She then left the room, so I assumed she was working on it--but she never returned or followed up. She didn't check in with me before leaving or confirm if everything looked okay, which felt unprofessional and left me with unanswered questions. While Shannon was responsive and easy to work with leading up to the event, the final execution didn't meet the expectations I had based on her portfolio or our planning conversations. I do think she has talent, but unfortunately, this experience fell flat for me on an important day.

Her commutation was great, she was early, set up within minutes and was ready to go. She had a portfolio, by also did custom requests- and the birthday girl went first. She painted adults and the kids and was so fast. I had given her an estimate on how many would want to be painted in the given time frame and she way exceeded that. We were so happy with her and so were our guests, we have recommended her multiple times. And, the paint that she uses is amazing. It doesn't rub off or melt; and you don't have to scrub it off. I've been to other parties where the paint rubbed off on everything. We will definitely be using her again.

DJ was very responsive and gave great ideas on how to get my vision and budget to come together. She provided a gorgeous rainbow balloon arch & she also filled my own store-bought Mylar & latex balloons which she attached to ribbons and weights into lovely bouquets for the party. She provided home delivery and disassembly/ pickup of her arch structure supplies the next day- I didn't have to do anything- so convenient! The arch was a showstopper at our event and a memorable focal point for kids dancing/playing underneath and taking pictures in front of. I highly recommend Celebrations Unlimited to everyone!

Since we found DJ Holiday on Yelp and chose her business based on these reviews, we felt compelled…read moreto write a review because our experience was much different than the others on Yelp. We used Celebrations for wedding planning in October 2015. At first meeting some months prior to the event all seemed congenial. This was a same sex wedding and DJ seemed OK with that and touted experience with the same. She frequently asks about your "vision." Although this seems more appropriate for a bride and a groom, we told he what we wanted. She assured us that changes happen along the way and that she is flexible and would work with us. This was not the case. The event was quite successful. Except for having the chairs in the correct place, coordinating the actual day of the event, cake and flowers , we can give no credit to Celebrations Unlimited for this success. Working with them was most unpleasant and just got worse as we got closer to the date. We found that she accepts little responsibility for errors and not accommodating for special requests. Unfortunately, from correspondence to correspondence you never know which DJ you're going to get. Our "VISION" was to have a wedding planner that would provide the service in a seamless way and reduce stress. This is not what we got. They are unresponsive to phone calls and emails and simply created more stress. We requested a bill on three occasions and received it one week before the wedding. The cost for chairs, water, flowers, cake and planning the day of the wedding was $6500.00. We had just over 100 people and arranged the photographer, reception and rehearsal dinner ourselves. All in all, the wedding was a huge success. My recommendation is to interview more than one planner, Celebrations Unlimited could be one of them. Establish your costs up front. Ask for references! If it is a different wedding, like two brides or grooms, make sure the planner has experience with this. Buyer beware and know what you are doing! Unfortunately we did not.

There are many high quality wedding planners for Napa Valley, however, if you are looking for one…read morethat conducts business with integrity, I would not recommend Angela N. of Lulu Events and here is why... We signed Angela as our planner in May 2010 to help us with our Napa Valley destination wedding in October 2010. As we were planning our wedding from Asia and had less than 5 months til the big day, we needed a planner who was available and flexible to meet our demanding schedules. She claimed to be the "BEST PLANNER IN NAPA", provided us with "great" references, and assured us that she was very experienced in working with overseas clientele, so we paid our 50% of the fee to go ahead with Angela. (Note, she also emailed us that another party wanted to sign with her for an October 2010 event and given she has a quota of events she can do, we felt some time pressure... though, it was still our fault we didn't spend enough time to look around more thoroughly). Unfortunately, shortly after signing the contract we realized Angela was not right for us. We found out early on that her schedule was not very flexible to our needs and she was at times even unaware of the drastic time zone differences. Apart from canceling & re-scheduling several of our conference calls, she was unable to meet us for two separate in person appointments that we had flown in for from Asia. The first time was a brief business visit to the Bay Area, but given the short notice of our travel itinerary and not being her clients yet, we gave her the benefit of the doubt. But she was unavailable again when we planned to do another week long visit to the Bay Area/Napa to do our wedding site check and by that time, she was our planner. Maybe she was stretched too thin, or we were too far away, or we were not considered a big budget wedding, or that she often flies back and forth between Napa and southern California...but nonetheless something was wrong. Within the first week of signing on, Angela was out of pocket for the first few days, then she emailed to reschedule our conference calls that week and by the end of the week, we were told she would not be able to accommodate us when we were in town for our site check. With the distance and impending time crunch until the wedding, it was at that moment that we realized this was not going to work out and that Angela would not be able to provide the service we needed. We explained this to her over the phone and reiterated our concerns over email before asking if we could receive our money back or be billed for the work she had already done so that we could mutually cancel the contract. We thought this was a reasonable request given that only a few hours of work had been done so far and that our schedules just could not match hers. However, she was surprised at our request and refused to not only not provide the requested refund, but also stopped returning our calls and emails to work out an amicable solution. In the end, we were able to find a different wedding planner and had an incredible wedding. However, we are deeply disappointed that Angela seemed more focused on her bottom line than caring about the wedding couples who have been saving and working so hard for their special day...
