ZERO STARS. I hardly ever write reviews, but this was such an unprofessional company. I contacted this balloon company at the end of September through their request form listed on their Instagram and never received a response. I followed up directly through Instagram messages and was eventually able to schedule a FaceTime call on October 7th to arrange a balloon garland for my 25th birthday celebration on November 22nd at a venue in Sebastopol. Although we communicated back and forth initially, I was repeatedly told an invoice would be sent but never received one. From October 26th through November 14th, my messages went unanswered. The week before my event, I finally received a reply (because I messaged her that I hadn't heard back from her) and was told I would be contacted later that day, but no follow-up ever happened. When I reached out again the next day to request adding a backdrop, I was told an updated invoice would be sent that same day. I even asked her to send a text notification so I wouldn't miss the invoice, but once again I was left without any response. It is now the day before my event, and I have still not been contacted. At this point, I feel I was completely ignored and ultimately ghosted. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. If you are planning a small gathering, I would advise looking elsewhere, there are plenty of professional balloon companies who reached out immediately a week before my event. And if you are a larger company or planning a significant event, I strongly suggest choosing a more reliable and professional balloon service that communicates in a timely and consistent manner. I will definitely be deleting her contact and going with more reliable companies for future events. read more

I had seen their work and storefront before and it was always super cute, so I was thrilled when they were at the 2022 Wedding expo and I won a free balloon garland. It took some back and forth but when I finally got ahold of her we booked my wedding date and started to talk about colors. It was a weird experience because I'd give her colors like "mauve" or "burgundy" and she'd send me back neon pinks and purples. She let me know that the colors I wanted wouldn't be available in the balloons that were party of the garland I won, so we agreed I'd pay an up charge + delivery fees. We messaged back and forth a few times about when the times would work for her to set up and I assumed everything was all set. Then a month before my wedding I reached out to her to check on times and she said because she never heard back from me (???) she booked another wedding on my date and was unable to fulfill my request. I was obviously super confused because nowhere in any of our messages did it say I needed to follow up with her by x date and there were no messages from her saying she was going to give away my date if she didn't hear back. I was under the impression we were all set. Again, they do great work but I'd just be aware when booking for big events. read more

Avoid using this company. There are a lack of balloon companies in the Bay Area and as a result this company is really busy. It's like having a cable provider you hate, but are stuck with because there are no other options. The owner is miserable to deal with and you end up wasting money for a lousy job. Read the other negative reviews - very similar issues to mine. Overall issues: 1) lack of timely response, professionalism, and meeting deadlines (it's hard enough to plan a party - and the owner just adds to the stress by overpromising and underdelivering) 2) unspoken min order of $750 3) nickel & dime every part of the process even after spending $1k 4) refusal to provide photos of balloon colors prior to payment - only computer generated colors which is impossible to tell the color, 5) no confirmation of font type being used for signage - even after specifically sending a photo of what was wanted 6) signage arrived crooked and sloppy 7) team is unprepared for installs - they are doing 7-8ft installs and forget to bring a ladder, 8) costly ancillary fees - they charge you $300 for use, drop off and pickup of their boards which are banged up and scratched up (they claim these damages happened on the drive over) 9) they don't ask basic questions of if there are stairs in the house and blame you for not telling them before they bring their heavy equipment. I would never use these guys again. Their work is shoddy and sloppy, and I ended up having to fix the installation myself. Also the owner just constantly argues with you. I wish she would just shut up and provide some decent customer service (read how she responds to negative reviews - this will give you a sense of how difficult it is to work with her). This has been a long overdue review; first off the owner will swoop you with all her talks and will professionally respond to you; but once you get into talking about details she is highly unprofessional and not very pleasant. Marivel did not call on our first meeting; making an excuse that she forgot her phone etc... second attempt on the meeting did not happen either and she made yet another excuse. In the end I had cancelled my reservation with her; she promised for the $300.00 deposit back, but never receive it, after almost a month waiting I had to just dispute in my card so I can get my money back. I had reached out to this small business via instagram and I got an a fast response! I had told her what I wanted and what my budget was and she was very accommodating to my needs. She made me a 7ft and a 3ft garland and I gave her an idea on what I wanted and what colors I wanted which were baby pink, rose gold and white. She made them for me and then I picked it up from her home and when I saw them it was so big and beautiful, and honestly better than I imagined it would be. So hopeful that this place was awesome based on recommendations but unfortunately, I must have experienced a different service than others. They did in fact deliver a beautiful white jumpy for my daughters graduation that I received many compliments on but overall professionalism wasn't there. They kept changing the time of delivery which was stressful. That continued at pickup and they ended up picking up in the middle of the night and went in my backyard without my consent which could have been disastrous since my dog could have gotten out, since we live on a very busy street. Marivel apologized for that but that just didn't cut it and I base my review on experience and my first one was far from pleasant. Unfortunately I will not use them again. I hired Marivel and her team for our Rose Lounge activation at Taste of Sonoma. She created a beautiful balloon ceiling installation along with two large fringe backdrops. Marivel was great to work with providing many ideas during the brainstorming portion. The balloons were beautiful and she and her team did a great job executing our vision and also making day of tweaks as needed. She also created two fringe backdrops for our bar and photo booth. This was kind of an unusual piece to create but they did a great job working with me to create what I was looking for. I believe the fringe backdrop is a newer item for this company - of course they specialize in balloon creations - so the final product needed some tweaking day of to hide the construction of the backdrop, etc. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience and will certainly hire them again.
