In December of 2023 I happened to be in St Joseph visited my family. After dinner we went to the dealership thinking it was closed, but lo and behold Ms Shelby was still there. She can sprinting across the lot and asked you help. I told her we were browsing, but I'd take her card. She showed us 3-4 vehicles and we left. Fast forward to February 29, 2024. They claimed they could not "reproduce" an issue that was both significant and constant. I was billed for the diagnostic without being informed of the cost beforehand. They did not recommend a transmission flush or mention the Chevrolet service bulletin addressing known torque converter issues for this year and model. The next time I brought the truck in, the transmission was completely shot. They now refuse to offer any assistance because I did not perform my routine service with them--despite this being a documented issue related to the type of fluid Chevrolet used in these vehicles. Perhaps Chevrolet's new slogan should be, "Buy a Chevy. You might get 85,000 miles out of it."

They called out the tech that worked on it and it was not Rodney. I tried to get my money back and they said no way. The. Service dept. Manager did apologize twice, but still no return on my money. When we got to St. Joseph we realized we didn't need the part so we went to Car City to return it. I know that all dealers are independently owned and operated and they have no obligation to let us return the unopened part there since we bought it 2 weeks ago in Florida, but I would expect some loyalty to previous customers. After showing them that we purchased our car there they said they could not take our part back. I won't ever buy a car from them again because they have no loyalty to a customer who made a $14,000 dollar purchase a few years ago.

There were two reasons I couldn't make this a 5 star: because I had moved up one level in the model I was looking at, I was hoping to negotiate the price a bit. The salesman presented a non-counteroffer, showing me how much they were leaving on the table versus the MSRP. Bother. But later I realized that MSRP has little to do with their price of buying a used car for resale. The other problem was that he seemed to disappear for long periods of time without letting me know what was going on. I had thought of bringing a book for that eventuality, but... Overall a decent, but not perfect experience.

I would give him 5/5 but deducted 1 star for the product that I was finally able to come up and see being over priced, over represented condition wise, and not a good value unless they dropped the price in almost half.

This is work done on my grandmothers Ford Escape with very low mileage. All the details are in the pictures. To begin I believe most of these repairs and recommendations were fabricated and unnecessary to take advantage of an elderly lady in her 70's... ----- The type of grandmother to thank the cashier at the grocery store for being kind, the type of grandmother that still sends birthday cards, makes pies , has a home in disrepair and was a widow at the young age of 53. You know the type of grandmother that reminds you of you're grandmother. The one that you're not worried about making it into heaven . Yes, that one. ---------------- Ok secondly! The Ford Escape! What can I say? What's you're excuse Ford? The work was necessary? What's that say about you're product? And even if the work was necessary... the price? The prices are outrageous. I can't single out any one repair because they are all RIP OFFS. Lastly, Please look at the work done, the mileage , model year, and the cost of the repair... if you don't know what you're looking at, show a friend or you're husband. Please review the documents before purchasing a vehicle or having repairs made at ANY dealership. and just be on the safe side and believe me, do NOT come here for anything! Think about that person in you're life you love and care for that can be taken advantage of. Think if they did that to them and how it would make you feel.
