UPDATE The service outage was an anomaly. Several individuals were ill and couldn't be at work and one person could not successfully juggle everything. I received a call today. We've set up an appointment. I understand what went wrong maybe I overreacted a bit, but it was so different than my prior service experiences. Stuart of Exquisite Air & Water is who you want to hire! We have used Exquisite Air & Water in two of our homes now. Our first home in Pittsboro on city water. Stuart came out, tested the water and his great understudy, Jeremy, installed a RO system under our kitchen sink and ran a RO line to our fridge. Our second home (Durham) is were his expertise shined! When we moved into our 25+ yr old home we got 3 quotes as we needed a new well pump, well tank, RO and softener (VERY hard water). We learned the hard way by going with a company that could "do it all" (with good reviews) as Stuart doesn't do wells and our choice turned into a nightmare. The newly installed softener head broke 3 x's thus causing a sulfur smell in our water as the lack of backwash contaminated the lines. Said company chlorinated and even replaced the softener fully, but could not remedy the smell. (Note: smell occurred only after softener head broke.) The kitchen RO tank was also not holding as much water as it could have and lacked pressure. New well pump fried as they forgot to ground it at the head. Back and forth and months of frustration we finally called Exquisite Air & Water for help. Stuart and I had many emails and phone calls determining how to proceed. His patience and knowledge a gift as we were distraught going through what I just mentioned. Under Stuart's discretion, kind and patient Jeremy placed a new easy to use softener system, carbon filter, and big blue pre-filter in. They even got our RO system to hold more water in the RO tank and have a more powerful stream at the sink. How we wish we would have gone with Exquisite Air & Water from the start! Fair pricing. Billing adjustments, anything to cite the quality control measures Triangle Water and/or Culligan can demonstrate for water your whole family is to consume as a staple of life. Billing that was consistent with written and binding quotes, explanations for charges, any written response to repeated information requests. Neither a decent experience with this business nor peace of mind on what we were to be consuming. Further, Triangle Water/Culligan IS NOT affiliated with the Better Business Bureau - where there are numerous outstanding complaints filed by other customers. Why would a business not affiliate with the BBB? Before even considering any form of a relationship with Culligan, ask yourself this..."Have I asked for and examined all terms of the corporate residential agreement where this company attempts to absolve themselves of everything from damage to home, electronics, and property (even self) all with no warranties on the product or service...yet they insist on having a credit card with automatic payments scheduled with clauses for late fees, early termination fees and a "kangaroo court" arbitration process at their disposal?" Does that sound worth it or reassuring? There are many, many, public reviews and unresolved disputes/claims citing damage to property, quality control concerns, and certainly, unresolved billing matters. Where is Culligan and Triangle Water when something goes wrong? For many people it does. How do you know you will not be one of them? From our experience, they are going bill you other than quoted, refuse to take your card off file, become evasive and not write you back to repeated requests, do nothing to demonstrate the water they provide has quality control measures for safety or drinkability, provide misinformation, attempt to threaten and bully you.
