Redwood Restoration easily earned 10 Stars! We had black mold from rainwater damage that our insurance didn't cover (beware "rainwater exclusion" in the small print). Tom Hoover was easily the most thorough in his inspection to give us a bid; he shared his knowledge and observations, and just seemed to have a lot of integrity. His wasn't the lowest bid, but he worked with our budget, going out of his way with his team to not only remove the mold and fix the damage, but also to communicate along the way, check in, help with some extra work not in the original bid for no extra charge, and generally hold our hand throughout what could have been a worse ordeal. We always felt that he and his team cared about us and fixing our problem - they consistently took time to answer questions, explain, and check in with us. They took photos along the way of our mold and their progress, and shared them with us. We also appreciated that they not only did the mold abatement, but the rebuilding, too. Tom recommended a roofer (none of the restoration people we talked to did their roofing - it's more specialized), and meanwhile his team gave us a temporary patch good for a month or 2. His Redwood Restoration team members are extremely professional, combined with reasonable, caring, honest and attentive to detail. Tom never made us feel that our questions were wasting his time -- we felt 100% seen as real people with a job that needed doing, not some dollar signs that a big company wanted to rake in. Our home was subject to the Glass Fire of 2020 and sustained severe smoke damage. I called 3 companies to survey the damage. Kurt came out the same day I called, took samples and immediately helped us navigate the insurance process. Although we did have to wait because the company did have several homes they were dealing with, it was worth the wait. Kurt is professional and actually cares about you and your family. He is extremely easy to work with and goes above and beyond to make things right. My house is back to normal, probably even cleaner than when we first moved in. You would never know our house was in the fire zone except for the blackened trees that surround our home. I highly recommend him to anyone who has to deal with an unfortunate circumstance. When I found that our place had flooded I was very upset and didn't know what to do. I tried drying it up but nothing worked. Our insurance immediately sent out Kurt Carlsson and his Redwood Restoration crew. Amazing! Within an hour they had a plan. They showed up with dehumidifiers and equipment to attack the problem. I had bats in my roof area and the odor was getting into the house. Redwood Restoration carefully packed and stored both rooms, removed the bats, and bat guano cleaned up the mess replaced soffits, insulation, sheet rock, textured, taped and painted. These guys are incredible! My friends had them remodel their kitchen and master bathroom. Besides the great price, they really made the process completely effortless from start to finish. They made great suggestions that we hadn't thought of that she ended up doing, took her shopping to help pick out all the materials and fixtures needed, and then did the full remodel in less then two weeks!
