The workers were friendly and not too intrusive. What they don't do well is clean up after themselves. The painters hacked at a tall, old evergreen and left several large dead or partially torn off branches. They also left paint flakes and pieces of masking tape around the perimeter of the building, plastic lunch garbage, dead shrubbery, and wires they had removed. When it was pointed out to them, their response was minimal. If you hire them, be ready to pick up after them.

I worked on the property on and off for the following 8 hours and his crew was there for part of that time, completed some masking, then left in the early afternoon. He had sent a text that he was departing earlier than that but I could leave deposit with his workers, which became impossible when I returned to find that they were gone. So I sent message asking who we should make the check out to and where we should send it. He told me to make the check out to Raudy's Painting, but not where to send it. So when we finally finished working on the place and were driving out of town at about 6:30 I called him and he said I need to make a deposit, I replied that's why I had asked who we needed to make the check out to and where to send it, but he says he cannot receive mail because everyone will steal his mail so we need to send it by cash app or Zelle or something. The seller of this property is 82 years old and cannot even reply to text messages let alone figure out how to download cash app and Link it to a bank account. So I asked where to send the deposit and he replied that he can't work anymore without a deposit so I asked where to send a deposit and he answered that he can't work anymore without a deposit and then hung up on me. Working with unlicensed contractors is always sketch, but there are decent human beings in this world that know how to work hard and do a good job, but sometimes all the flags go up and you worry that you've really got one of the genuinely bad ones.
