Very disappointed with the quality of work, incredibly poor communication and arrogant behavior. He did a small job for us that ended up having some issues and all he could do is make excuses and become incredibly defensive and negative. Guys like this will go out of business when it's not so easy and there is not more work than people to do it. I just felt like I should take a moment to share how impressed I was with the work done by Clint at CVA Drywall. I actually found him on CL and he was my second choice. I had a guy recommended through local "people in the know" who I figured I would go with. I had both people come out to check out the job and give me estimates. Clint came over exactly when he said he would and gave me a written estimate within 24 hours. Never heard from the other guy. The job wasn't very big at all, so maybe he didn't need the money??!! Clint started the job that week and had it finished before he said he would. In fact, early on in the job, he realized it would take less time than he originally bid, so he knocked a couple hundred bucks off the price! The young man he had working with him was great, too-very polite and conscientious. Did I mention I was home with a very new baby? These guys were not noisy and were so clean. Clint's brother is a painter, so he came in and did the painting. Also great work! He even painted over some spots on my wall because I mentioned them (completely unrelated to the job.) The gentleman working with him was also very good. No complaints, whatsoever (hence the 5 stars). In fact, I would recommend CVA Drywall to anyone who needed that type of work done. read more

We had Clint work on our house in Sonoma, where we are part/time. He was amazingly trustworthy and worked well with our time schedule. Since we are only part/time we had a friend open the house in our absence to allow Clint and his workers in. He did a less than acceptable job at first. He called me and explained that he would need an extra day because the job was not up to he expectations. Once he finished the job we were very happy with his work. He filled in a 3'x4' pass through between the living room and kitchen and repaired our old ceilings and then removed an old wall panel and resurfaced the wall. Of course we were in the house when the recent earthquake hit. To our absolute pleasure, we did not have a single crack in any wall in the house. We only live about 6 miles from the epicenter. I used C.V.A. Drywall on a remodel I did in Windsor foothills. It was mostly a lot of patch work. Some in the middle of walls and ceilings. The texture match was so good, I can not even find them any more. Five stars!!! read more

CVA Drywall is by far the worst type of contractor out there. False promises, sloppy work, no job cleanup, and surprise add ons at the end just to top off the mess they leave behind. Don't take a chance, hire someone else. I finally had to pay them just to rid myself of the trouble. Clint refused to come back and clean up his mess so I had to do it. He claimed it was someone elses trash. Come on....like I have boxes of drywall mud just laying around my front yard. read more

I came across CVA Drywall after doing a google search for local companies and they were one of the only ones that really stood out to me. They had a website with pictures, including their license number and upon looking it up it was active and good! Yes that sounds strange to be happy about but out of all the people we contacted for the job they either did not have a license or they gave me a number for an expired license. Either way in the end we were extremely happy with our choice of using CVA Drywall. He started the work promptly, finished it in a timely manner, had a very nice guy that worked for him on the job and more importantly the work turned out beautifully! CVA was ok. I have used them a couple times and noticed they have difficulty cleaning up after themselves. They also installed 5/8" sheetrock instead of 1/2" in one location, which typically isn't a big deal but for me it meant drilling into the already framed wall horizontally by an 1/8" to make the medicine cabinet fit. There was also a substantial amount of overspray from the texturing gun left on the non-textured walls. read more

We called Clint based on some web reviews after other drywall guys gave us some what we thought were high bids. He did the ceiling of our kitchen remodel and patched the holes where old cans were removed. We were very pleased... he was always on time, responded quickly, did great work, and cleaned up after the job. Clint did a small job for me years ago and impressed me with not just the quality of his work and attention to detail but also his fairness with pricing a small job. Recently brought Clint back for a larger home remodel in Petaluma. Again, I found his professionalism, pricing and willingness to work with me around the permitting process exceptional.
