I asked what kind of recon work they did but apparently there's none because he had nothing to say. I've also been made aware of another scheme CW partakes in. When a new camper is delivered to the dealership, they are paid for repairs made and the camper is prepped in "ready for sale" mode which they are reimbursed for by the manufacturer. They then are charging the buyer AGAIN for those prep fees on the back end. This is how they are able to advertise campers for lower prices, but then justify increasing the price at the last minute to rope in the customer at the last minute either without them knowing or when they feel it's too late to back out. JUST RUN. Do your research. Camping world is shade AF. They are now partnering up with Forest River dealerships and buying out others such as Lazydays. Try to stick to smaller mom/pop shops. They are going to more honest, most r experienced with repairs, and going to try to keep you as a customer. We ended up buying private sale and used an online company for a loan which was so easy with no slick sales pitches or price hikes. Again, please see CAMPING WORLD SUCKS on Facebook. There's lots of good info on there of others' experiences that I wish we would have know before wasting our time.

We found it in a non-descriptive shopping mall in Rochester and it is a Large store with many departments. I was just looking at the men's clothing we did walk by the fishing section which was pretty big. They had two sections of men "men's clothing, one in the outdoor department and then another in basic menswear department. The brands were pretty typical. In fact they had Milwaukee shirts for women, but I didn't see any for men that was kind of the brand that was hoping they have for men. I was actually hoping for more regional clothing, but that was a wish that did not appear. The store smells like offgassing imported items and I'll tell you what Canadian tire a big chain in Canada smelled the same way. The checker was helpful. He allowed me to get into the discount club which gave me discount on the two shirts. I purchased. I enjoyed the ice fishing sheds in the front of the store.

Also bought a gift card and gummy worms. The store is flipped around compared to Lakeville store. Literally 1 cashier, so I did self checkout. (A Christmas Story)…read more When Ralphi mentioned "plunging into the cornucopia, quivering with desire...", surely he was thinking of this massive store's selection of equipment for outdoor sportsmen, notably including an official Red Ryder, carbine action, two-hundred shot range model air rifle! If that isn't enough to tear Ralphi's dad away from the leg lamp for a trip to Cabela's, the chance to get a free 4" x 6" pic with Santa on the second floor should do the trick. Better yet, this Santa won't roughly push the kiddos down a slide after telling them they'll shoot their eyes out! With so many departments like fishing, camping, and toys, along with a huge aquarium in a cave and a gigantic replica of a mountain, you won't get bored shopping here. Minnesnowtans should check out the ActionHeat section, because we don't actually enjoy becoming human popsicles in winter! If you're offended by taxidermy, oh fuuudge...avoid all the North American and African mounts, including a huge elephant and rhino. While I dislike the aspect of the trophy hunting and mounts, kids are mesmerized comparing their tiny size to the large scale of these beautiful beasts and seeing them in their replicated habitats. This store has a little something for everyone, whether you're a Scut Farcus, a Ralphi, or a Mrs. Parker. If driving through Owatonna, make sure to stop at Cabela's--I triple dog dare you! Also, be sure to drink your Ovaltine.

Owatanna's location is one of the more grander Cabela's that I've been to in the Midwest. It was a pretty decent sized building with a decent amount of item variety and a huge taxidermy display right in the middle of it all. I really enjoyed the taxidermy and mount displays at this location. There was a huge diversity of animals from around the world and the quality of the displays was on the same level of a natural history museum. Just walking around and looking at everything was a fun time. There is even a walkthrough aquarium that shows off local sports dish species. Staff were friendly and helpful and prices for most items were very reasonable, especially sale items. The only thing missing was one of those penny arcade gun ranges where you shoot things and they move, oh well!

New business address is: 114 East Second Street, Winona, MN 55987 and phone number remains (507) 474-7653 So, my review: As stated by the other reviewer, this store is indeed a gem for outdoor gear, active-life clothing in Winona. One of my outdoor interests is kayaking and this place had a direct pipeline to Current Designs and Wenonah Canoe (top-of-the-line canoe and kayak manufacturers here in town) Through the work of Mike L., Avery P., Jacob C. and other wonderful staff here, I purchased my first kayak and other related paddling gear. But, I also learned a lot about how to use the gear and what to buy/not buy for my skill level. Just today, got an incredible deal on a carbon Werner kayak paddle. The staff is knowledgable and friendly and the store stocks excellent high-quality brand-name outdoor gear/active clothing. It was funny to me to find out the store was more well-known as a clothes shop vs. as a camping/climbing store (like REI). But, it has it all, and if they don't have it, then ask, because they can probably order it in. For those folks who don't run triathlons or scale mountains every weekend, this place still has something to offer. Don't be intimidated if youre not some super-athlete with a high VO2 max, you'll still feel welcome, which I've come to appreciate about Sole Sport. Keep up the good work, guys, and thanks for all the help!
