However, if you prefer savory barbecue, I would pass on the food. Everything was very sweet which was disappointing. Outstanding Bunn Newcomer…read more El Meson brings to Bunn a full-service bar and grill that's open for lunch and dinner seven days a week - a welcome addition that fills a real void. The decor is fresh and cheerful; the service friendly and efficient; the food is delicious, and prices are reasonable - a great combination. You'll find all the Mexican favorites on their extensive menu; as well as a well-stocked bar with mixed drinks, draft and bottled beer and wine. That traditional complimentary basket of Tortilla Chips comes with a bowl of thick zesty Salsa. The Chile Rellenos are one of my favorites. A giant Poblano is crammed full of ground beef, chicken or beans, in a thin batter with a drizzle of Oaxaca Cheese. The traditional Mexican Rice and Beans were perfectly seasoned and served piping hot. We also recommend the Shrimp Tacos. Soft tortilla shells are loaded with slightly briny Shrimp, Lettuce and Pico de Gallo and served with a tangy Sauce on the side. If you are really hungry, try the Enchiladas Verdes. One Chicken, one Beef and one Cheese Enchilada are topped with a Green Salsa that is loaded with the flavors of Tomatillos, Garlic, Onion, Cilantro, Jalapeños, and Spices. El Meson also serves excellent Beef, Chicken or Bean Burritos. The Mexican Torta) is a real treat. This hearty, oversized flatbread sandwich (much like a Cubano) is stuffed with the meat of your choice (I like Carnitas - shredded pork), Lettuce, Avocado, Tomato Cheese, Mayo and Jalapeño. A complete meal by itself. I guess the addition of French Fries is a concession to American tastes, but I prefer to substitute Rice & Beans.

Came back and placed an order. Love the 100 percent sanitation and the friendly gentleman who works the window. They give you a pager. It was another 15 minute or so wait for my six wings with sweet spicy pineapple sauce. When I picked up the order (after having to wait for someone else to order again), I was offered ranch or bleu cheese dressing with it. Ranch for this Gal. Home I went to discover that the wings are breaded and fried. My personal preference is non-breaded, but my bad cause I didn't ask. I will say if you like breaded fried chicken these were well done. Maintained their crispiness even with the tasty sauce all over them. For some reason they gave me 7, which was nice. They were so rich, I saved a couple for the next day and of course the breading was soggy by then. But again, not their fault. They also have boneless wings and offered waffle fries as well. I heard them say they ran out of bone-in ones after me (maybe my free 7th was the last one). And they were out of mac and cheese. Hope that means they had a successful afternoon. I love supporting food trucks, especially ones with 100% sanitation.
