Best frigging tattoo artist and person and wife Red I've ever had the pleasure of meeting. I habe been there I think 5 or 6 times now, most for my own half sleeve getting done and my fiance still Has lots n lots more and Im Getting more certain ones done on myself too and I Can't wait... I have been going to Red Spaghetti for 12 years. I started out slow and ended up getting an entire "sock" from knee to ankle on my right leg. I'm beginning to become cynical in regards to Yelp reviews and My experience with this business is a good example why. Having recently moved to the area, I had no knowledge of Red Spaghetti other than driving past it a few times a day. When I decided I wanted some more ink, I came here to read the reviews. What initially struck me as odd is that there are only two reviews for this business, which is in a prominent location and must have a large enough clientele to stay open. What was even more odd is that each review is very negative, each of the two reviewers have only reviewed this one business and one of the reviewers are anonymous, uses the username "FU" (as in "f*ck you) and uses really negative wording. I understand not being happy with a good or service, but to create a Yelp account to solely slam one particular business seems more of a personal vendetta than an attempt to fairly inform the consumer. If either of the Red Spaghetti reviewers had reviewed other businesses and had positive statements for at least a handful of them, I might take their attack of this business seriously. Still, I wasn't sure if this would be the place for me to get a permanent piece of art added to my body's collection. I've had both excellent and poor tattoo work in the past. I put the plan on the back burner. In the meantime, I have managed to meet a handful of folks in my new town. Of the 6 with ink, ALL of them had a fair share of their work done here and ALL of them had nothing but great things to say. So, I met with the owners today for a consult and Q&A. I've learned my lesson to not blindly walk into a tattoo shop without doing my research. They were both wonderfully, accommodating, no-B.S. people. I asked them about their reviews and got a little more of the back story. Seems I was right in being skeptical of the previous reviews and my gut tells me this was one of the better tattoo shops I've been in. Tattoos are art. And tattoo shops are regulated businesses. I find it completely fair to expect the professionalism I received today and find it completely appropriate for a tattoo artist to set boundaries that are not historically associated with tattoo parlors of yesteryear in a Singapore shack full of drunk sailors. It takes integrity to refuse to tattoo someone who is wasted or high. It takes professionalism to require the client show up on time for an appointment. And it takes honor and respect (for both the artist & the canvas) to realistically approach the content and design you are about to permanently place on someone's body. Many years ago, I told a tattoo artist "I WANT THIS!", failing to respect his experience and knowledge. He begrudgingly gave me what I wanted and it turned out to be my worst, most distorted piece ever, just as he said. I should have listened to him with respect for his insight. I should have accepted that it wasn't a great idea. He should have been professional enough to risk losing income rather than ink my crappy design. After meeting with Red Spaghetti, I am not only excited by the talent they displayed, but by the integrity with which they create a warm, receptive environment. Luckily, I am willing to negotiate on my new design to assure that my tattoo artist can give me the best piece I could receive, rather than bitch about not getting my way on my own terms, on my own timeline. As it appears the previous "vendetta reviewers" we're unable to do. Ya, Yelp reviews need to be taken with a large dose of salt. So, don't go here based on my review. I called to ask about what I would need to get my 13 year old daughters nose pierced. The man that answered the phone bluntly stated "13 is pretty young!" I proceed to tell him I was the same age when I got mine pierced. He then proceeded to basically tell me in his own colorful way that it would be a bad move as a parent to let her do something like that. Very rude. By far THE best Artist I have had work done by. It's been several years since my last tattoo by a local artist and said I would not get another one. Hey guys... Hey Red Spaghetti is a great parlor! I had a tattoo done by him 5 years ago and its as fresh and vibrant as the day he did it! I had contacted another parlor in Santa Rosa to request a tiger tat for my arm... It took nearly four weeks for the guy to come up with a rendering, which i might ad he was not "stoked about it". I told him to keep my drawing deposit! I called Red Spaghetti that next day, and he told me his schedule was tight and could I hang for a week... not a problem at that point. He called me up the very next day and had me in his chair. He showed me an awesome drawing HE did, he was like super cool, had a GREAT tattoo session. He was courteous, professional and a great artist to boot. He took his time, and even added a few more details to his original design! I cant wait to have another one done by Spaghetti.... Im thinking of a Koi on my forearm to go along with the dragon thats on that arm! I also have several friends who sport Spaghettis inkwork! Trust me... hes AWESOME! He did some good work on me, but when I wanted a minimal tattoo, he talked me into a more expensive one. He only does work from the Flash on the walls. He doesn't seem to do freehand work. He reworked an armband I had, and made it worse. He is a good guy, too much of a flirt, but I had to pay a lot of money to get my armband fixed. read more

This place was reccomended by a friend who had some work done there and raved about it. So I went to check it out and the owners were super nice and sweet. They were very helpful and worked with me to achieve what I really wanted. I liked the piece the guy did so much I have went back and had him do another one. I also had my eyebrows done by the lovely lady and she totally rocks! This place is awesome. I would def reccomend it to others. They work mostly by appointment only. So call first. And regarding the other review, Ive only seen the guy be rude when someone deserves it and doesnt respect the place or is rude themselves. So if he was rude then you deserved it!!! As long as you respect him and his place then you have nothing to worry about. But when you act rude and obnoxious then you get treated like that. Totally agree with the below above. Nice enough people at first. Don't waste your time getting to know them if you would like to have a mind of your own. It's their way are the highway. And their way is a little off. I a tattoo don by Spaghetti, I told them what I wanted more than a month in advance. Got there the day of my appointment and they showed me a drawing that Red drew not even the artists Spaghetti, of something completely different than what I had asked for. Then proceeded to tell me my idea wasn't very realistic to the actually "flower" I wanted. Realistic isn't a tattoo suppose to anything YOU want. I was so intimidated by them I went with what they said was "best". Now I have a flower that looks half dead that I hate!! Thanks a lot Red& Spaghetti. My Husband and I have been going to Spaghetti for years. Most recently, my Husband got his Mother's , very elaborate, coat of arms tattooed on his leg (she passed a few years ago). Regretfully, I feel obligated to do this follow-up. Giving Red the benefit of the doubt, my naval piercing is doing great. I got my nose stud changed to a ring because it was irritated. She put in an 18g instead of a 20g, which I guess is common, but a pretty bad idea considering the circumstance. I made it clear I wanted the ring to be snug, hugging the side of my nose. It was way too small. After 2 days, the skin under the ring was rubbed raw, and was oozing. The gooey stuff was caking under the ring and around it and I couldn't get it out myself. That's how tight it was. Then, I had to wait until a Monday to get it changed. Now, a week later, it still looks horrendous (and I'm not over-exaggerating). It's red, scabby, gooey, leaky, and just gross. I feel as a piercer Red should have known it was way too small of a diameter ring, my skin's reaction to it was so intense it was not just a tiny mistake. read more

I would say that I 100% agree with the above reviews. Spagehtti was a rude shovenistic pig who went out of his way to preech to me about the ways of tattoos. He gave me the worst cover up of the most simple thing you could ever cover up I could have done a better job! I would never reccomend going to them for tattoos agin. Piercings were great, never had a porblem, then I decided to get a tattoo BIG MISTAKE I was completely hamburgered and sccared very very severely, most of the color fell out and there were pretty much craters in my skin from the damage. The guy went way to deep into my skin. And before he says I didn't take care of it, let me say I have 4 tattoos besides the one spagehtti did and they all healed perfectly, I know how to take care of a tattoo well. This was the result of a bad tattoo artist who doesn't know how to preform his job safely. And for that matter the flower he tattoos was something HE PICKED off of his damn wall, he couldn't even draw me a flower . I do not reccomend going here not only that it was a waste of time and money 170$ to be exact so that he could take his time ruining my skin for the rest of my life and somehow i have to think of how to get it fixed. He even took time to go and talk on the phone for like 30 mins to his buddy and proceeded to say penis and balls every other word. If you like unprofessional then I guess this is the place to go.
