Key points to start:…read more * Lack of Communication between customer and business as well as lack of communication between the employees of said business. * Took months to coordinate. * Received additional billing after the job had been completed for months. * Tried coordinating a second job since I already had a rapport with this business only to be run around for MONTHS. * Currently terrified that after a year or so I will continue to receive bills regarding this job. * Unit functions but not well enough to be happy with the service. First and foremost, this company does not communicate, not with the customers or with each other. WE have two houses that needed HVAC work, so I started with the easiest job. This simple HVAC/Thermostat unit replacement turned into what can only be described as a fever dream of confusion. I received three different quotes on what the job would actually cost. In the end, the amount was a fourth quote and an even higher amount that I had to pay. Again, no extra ductwork or smash-and-grab, just HVAC and Thermostat. The first person and the employee who made me decide to use this company in the first place was someone I knew. This person then left the business a week or two after I decided to use them. That should have been a red flag but I powered through it. I emailed several times after getting the first three quotes with no response. Then I started calling, and every time I got the same response that it was being set up. I had to speak to a different person every single time, to this day, I have no idea who was actually in charge of this as I spoke to so many different people. Cut to almost three months later and we finally have a date for them to come out and replace the system. This was delayed twice before they actually came out and got started. Not so much something I was upset about initially but this speaks to the uncoordinated nature of this business. The installation took a normal amount of time and was with minimal disruption to anyone's day, for that I give them two stars. For the additional run around and charges, they get nothing but this review, well and I guess all my money. The unit itself is in no way regulated by the thermostat, it can say 75 degrees and the house is down under 65. If you raise it then the house gets up to 80 degrees before turning on. I can't call them for fear they will start sending me more bills after the fact. After 6-7 months from the completion of this job and me paying them, I started getting both harassed over the phone from a Caitlin and receiving bills in the mail. I initially laughed it off as spam because that is crazy right? But no, apparently they "forgot" to charge me for something at the time and now came a collecting after all this time. Now this wasn't a small bill, this was $800-900 something like that, It's all such a rage fugue that the more I type this out the angrier I am becoming. Before I got that bill, I had asked for a quote to do a complete install on the other house that has never had any type of HVAC installed. This is the house that I grew up in and currently live in, the other house across the street is where my parents live. The house I live in is a house that was built in the 50's and nobody that ever owned it got around to upgrading as nobody ever lived in it as long as we have(1994-present). Since we aren't generally rich people it never happened, this is a base model house, no upgrades. We are sweltering in the summer and freezing in the winter, that is how I was raised and how I currently live. I have never known what comfort is like, and if you cannot tell from this review, I still don't because I couldn't get a clear quote from these people to save my life! Months and Months of back and forth where every time it was something extra that had to be added on. Months of "oh we forgot", "sorry, missed your call", "oh that's right, this is a NEW install, extra $5000 AND you have to have an electrician come out for another $10k or so) on and on. Then, they just stopped responding to me entirely until I received that bill for the rando charges they "forgot" to charge me for. Do yourself a favor and choose a better-coordinated HVAC company.

The one star is because of a lack of customer care. Key Heating and Cooling installed a new AC unit…read morein our upstairs attic in April 2025. There was a leak in the new condenser which they immediately replaced. No problem. The new unit had noise issues. I could hear a "water" moving, gurgling sound downstairs when the new upstairs unit kicked on. After taking some measurements, and speaking with the manufacturer, they said this was a normal sound and it was because of where the builder had placed our lines. 1. We never experienced this issue with our old unit. 2. The sound kept getting louder. They only followed up with us if we called to remind them. They would not come out and listen to the noise, to help find a solution. In their estimation, our house was cool so all was working. We tried to work with them all summer. (It iss now September.) Finally, my husband did some research (thank you AI) and got up in the attic to determine the source of the sound. He moved the lines around until the sound dissipated. Obviously, this was not a noise due to where our builder placed the lines. The lines simply needed to be adjusted. Their work was fine, their people were great to have in our home, their equipment is fine, but their customer care is lacking.

I purchased an HVAC system from Green Street HVAC nearly three years ago for about $18,000--paying…read morealmost $10,000 more than an alternate (unlicensed) quote--only because I was assured parts and labor would be covered and the company would stand behind the install. During a cold front, I requested service (Ref: Estimate #20631848) and asked for basic documentation (contract copy, warranty registration, and a fully itemized estimate with OEM part numbers/MSRP and labor breakdown). The estimate came back over $3,000, with ~$1,700 just for the part, and included a line labeled "Band-Aid." After consulting Service, Inc. (Nashville) and Hiller, I learned "Band-Aid" can function as open-ended billing--i.e., "whatever it takes" after the part is installed, with no clear cap. To verify, I had Service, Inc. review the job. They confirmed in writing that:    *   The part is fully covered under the manufacturer's warranty ($0 to me), and    *   The install is about a 1-hour job, with a labor quote less than half of Green Street's total. In plain terms:    *   I paid a premium (~$18k), nearly $10k more than another bid, for peace of mind (parts + labor assurances).    *   Before a storm, I asked for help and transparency.    *   Green Street quoted $3,000+, including $1,700 for a warranty part that should be $0.    *   Their estimate used "Band-Aid," flagged by two licensed contractors as open-ended/uncapped language.    *   Service, Inc. honored the warranty ($0 part) and quoted a clear, fair price for ~1 hour of work. I support local businesses that do right by their customers--especially when families are relying on heat in bad weather. My experience with Green Street HVAC was unresponsive, non-transparent, and inconsistent with what was promised. If you're considering them, insist--in writing--on:    *   Proof of manufacturer warranty registration (model/serial + confirmation),    *   Written parts coverage terms (what's $0 under warranty), and    *   A fully itemized estimate (OEM part numbers, MSRP/list, exact labor hours & rate; avoid vague "Band-Aid" codes). Date of service request: 10/25 Estimate: #20631848 TL;DR: Green Street quoted $3,000+, including $1,700 for a warranty part and an open-ended "Band-Aid" line. Service, Inc. (Nashville) confirmed the part is $0 under warranty and the job is ~1 hour, at less than half of Green Street's total.

He was in and out in less than 10 minutes turns out it was just a tripped fuse which I missed my mistake. But they ended up charging us $139 something so little! I asked him to please charge us less that was just too much and he said nope can't do that. Of course we called back, asking to speak to management. They didn't get back to us. 3 more calls later over half a week I finally got a manager to call me back. Said the guy only charged us $60 to flip the switch, the other $79 was a "dispatch fee". Yes I looked at the box and missed the tripped switch I thought I got them all but come on we payed $139 for 10 minutes of work. They refused to refund us anything from their overpriced fees. Best he could was waive some fees on our next call. Spoiler alert there isn't going to be a next call with the way we were treated. Hey Lee Company, don't treat people like this. Just because times are tough doesn't mean you should rob us blind. I feel very much taken advantage of.

Joseph P., the appliance professional who handled the visit, quickly diagnosed the issue as a clogged freezer drain line and was able to resolve the problem efficiently. Joseph was clean, courteous, friendly, and highly professional throughout the entire process. I really appreciated how quickly he identified the problem and fixed it, which stopped the leak that had been making its way onto the kitchen floor. I also want to mention that even the person who scheduled the appointment over the phone was very pleasant and easy to work with, which made the entire experience smooth from start to finish. The price was very reasonable considering this was not something I could repair myself, and the peace of mind knowing it was handled properly was well worth it. I would absolutely recommend Lee Company to anyone needing appliance repair or home service work.
