My husband came here, he loved how they listened to what he wanted on his hair. I have no complaints for this location! They are amazing especially to active duty & veterans service members read more

I hadn't had a haircut for several months so I stoppped by Reds barber shop and was glad I did. He takes his job seriously and used his clippers adroitly and focused on shaping my hair with his scissors. He spent an entire hour working on my haircut. When he was done, I couldn't believe how great my haircut was. It was perfectly shaped. His haircuts are reasonable for $20. read more

I've been going here for several years now, and these folks are great barbers! Louise, and her sidekicks, are great people and really know their business in cutting hair. I recommend it to everyone who wants a really great cut. You'll be glad you did. read more

I have been coming here and bringing my kids for 10 years. They are friendly and always give great customer service. Price is great too.

Very rude over the phone once they realized I was just asking questions. I don't think there is anything wrong with trying to get to know the business in the area. I know one I will not be visiting. read more

Best haircut in Salem, they were quick and created what I asked of them. I walked in and they accepted me even though the prior client had no arrived yet, they have been doing this a long time :) 10/10 service read more

Great prices. Friendly staff. Good location. First time being there and was not disappointed. Felt like they care about their services rather than doing it fast. read more

Great atmosphere great service and concrete work on the Haircut I love how Good I'm come out looking from this shop and I don't trust many people cutting. Y hair read more

Absolutely pissed. Been growing my beard out for over 5 months prior to going in. Told the lady i was intending on still grow it out a few more inches. So, please just trim up the edges and a little taper at the top next to my ears. She took everything down across my cheeks to less than an 1/8" and half the growth length off my chin. Then put the mirror in front of me and says, "there, you don't look so bushy". Listening to her bitch about a previous employer and an argument over a fan during the butchering of my beard. I won't say this is the standard for all this shop, yet this particular barber was absolutely lacking. read more

Ron cut my hair and he did a great job!! My buddy messed it up pretty bad but Ron was able to fix it and he is a great conversationalist as well. The owner, Louise is very welcoming and kind. I will be returning!' read more

Red's Barber Shop - Barbers Near Me - Salem, Oregon

Best old mens hair cuts, my other barber closed shop. I found reds and gave them a try. A good choice, military decor was nicely done. Give REDS a try. read more

DO NOT RECOMMEND! My wedding is on Monday and they truly butchered my fiancé's beard. The word uneven doesn't even begin to cut it. Basically a Supercuts for men . So disappointing. read more

Went through most of the Barbers in Salem before I settled on Louise @ "Reds" a coupla years ago. No kidding, it's a good "old school" Scissor (snip/snip) cut while She usually finds humour in my corniest jokes and anecdotes and even encourages me to busting out in a Hoyt Axton or John Prine tune if things get "Boring" (a real rarity). If yer lucky, Loise's Mom may be there helping out and mining for her giggle is one of my favorite challenges. Trust me this is a great "Tonsorial" experience and I always come out the front door a "Better Man" than I was goin' in ! and that's NOT a butter-UP job for a free weed-eating of those pesky "Tie`wire"~~ ear hairs that Red merrily reduces as she tells some great jokes of her own!! GREAT experience!!!!! Git In There Pilgrim!!!!!! read more

I am a regular at Red's and I have got to say it is one of my favorite spots for a great haircut with a welcoming, classic barber shop environment. Louise is the barber I'd highly recommend! Fantastic at getting exactly what I want at a lower price than other barbers in the area. Much appreciation for this business! read more

Toni and Claudia did an awesome job on my haircut and my son's haircut today. We had called and we waited a few minutes. Thank you for putting out the candy too and having toys to play with. I would recommend this place no doubts. Please support this local business and stop going to the other puppy mill haircut rackets. read more

Finally! Met Robin thru my work, her husband was going to have surgery, and we got to talking and I mentioned my struggles of searching high and low of someone worthy and good enough to do a great job on my kiddos hair cuts and she mentioned she works as a barber and it was like the stars aligned because about a week or two later I did bring my two boys in for haircuts today and she did an awesome job so now we will definitely be coming here for sure! So no more great clips cuts for us! I live in west Salem and I feel like I've been to every great clips there is and idk what other hair place but it's always hit or miss and this lovely woman did an amazing job with my sons' hair, she took her time and chatted with my boys even though they can be a bit shy. Thanks Robin :) xo and FYI do bring cash read more

Red's Barber Shop - Robin cutting my youngest son - Barbers Near Me - Salem, Oregon

Fantastic Haircuts! I've been coming here for over 15 years. Doesn't matter whose chair you sit in, you will leave with a great cut. Whether you want a Military, Flat-top, or traditional cut, these barbers will make it happen. read more

New owner, same great service. Best quality haircut in Salem. Prices are unbeatable. Metal clipper blades and straight razor finish. Nothing fancy, not a liquor and scalp massage place, but there are plenty of places like that if you are looking for MANicure and have $30 to spend. This shop - on the other hand - is a great haircut, friendly atmosphere, clean shop, and great location. Ask for Louise. read more

Been going to Red's for about 4 years, when I visit Salem from Arizona. A classic barber shop with metal guides and a razor finish. They always make you feel like an old friend and cut your hair just the way you want. Missed Robin, Happy Retirement, and delighted that Louise has taken over. Also happy to see Matt there, I found Red's after Matt left Roy's in West Salem. If you are looking for a friendly and skilled BARBER SHOP, check out Red's with Louise, Frank and Matt. read more

NEVER go here. Took my father-in-law for a buzz cut. They said 5 minutes before putting him in a chair. After 20 minutes my husband went in and they said it would be 15 more minutes. After 15 minutes he went back in and he was still not done. They tried blaming it on not having an appointment when the two barbers was standing around and talking. Will be finding a new barber. read more

Best barber shop in town hands down! Been going there for over 4 years now and won't go anywhere else!

I went into Red's Barber Shop today with my son and he received a great haircut. He's 13 and a moody teen and the guy there did great with him. I highly recommend this place. all three barbers were funny, professional and very friendly. We just found our go to barber spot:) read more

This is an excellent old school barber. They can handle all sorts of hair cuts, they do exceptional fades and actually know how to clean you up with a straight razor. The prices are super fair. Louise and Matt are both give great haircuts. What I really like is that they not only give you a great haircut, but it doesn't take forever, they know what they are doing and can get you in and out. And their pricing is super reasonable. Once you become a "regular" you don't even have to tell them what you want they just remember. I can't recommend this place. If I could give them more stars I would. read more

I have been going to Red's Barber Shop for years. I have always gotten a good hair cut there. The address provided is wrong however, they changed locations in March of 2011 and are right around the corner at 3300 Market St NE # 11 Salem, OR 97301, next to the Shilo Inn and Suites. There are 3 chairs and 3 really good barbers. Senior prices are available. No appointment needed. Closed Sunday & Mondays. Opens a 8:30 A.M. read more

My husband get his hair cut here and loves it. We currently live in Portland and drive to Salem just for a hair cut here, won't go anywhere else. Robin is his favorite barber but we enjoy everyone's company while there. Great classic barber shops are hard to come by, this one is a hidden gem! read more

Excellent barber shop, with great haircuts! This is well known, so come expecting to wait or be there when they open. Staff are engaging and very friendly. Cable TV is also a plus when you are getting fixed up in the chair. Military discount for those currently serving is also a nice touch. read more

I went into Red's Barber Shop today, and received a great haircut by Robin, the proprietor. It has been a number of years since I had gone to get, but she remembered me. When I was looking to get my hair cut, instead of buzzing it off myself, So knew who I wanted to cut it. I highly recommend Red's Barbershop! read more

Love Matt's haircuts for both my son and husband! He is so nice too. It is a long wait at times but well worth it. Matt takes the time to make sure the cut is done right. read more

Great haircut! We are here in Salem for the Airstream Rally and found this place close by. Friendly folks and no wait on a Thursday afternoon. read more

Great little barber shop at the corner of Market St and Hawthorne in Salem, OR. Prices are fair ($9-13 for men) and both the gals here are friendly and fast. They rent out a third chair in their shop and the quality of whoever happens to rent it at the time seems to vary (only reason for the 4/5). The shop has a laid back old school feeling which I appreciate. They do an excellent military-style cut for servicemembers or law enforcement which I appreciate because frankly some of the other shops in town look at me like I'm from another planet when I ask for a "high and tight." They are efficient, but never make me feel rushed. They still use a straight razor to block and cut sideburns which makes my haircut last. I would recommend them to anyone in town. Bring cash! No cards accepted (bravo!). Closed Monday. Close early on Saturday. read more

I used to go to Red's when it was still inside the Market Street Fred Meyers when I was a toddler. Moved out of town for the last 25+ years and decided to give it a try again. The lady that cut my hair was extremely nice and I was in and out in a very short time. I would go back. read more
