I had a perfect experience here a few days ago. The spirit inside the shop is great. I received an excellent haircut and beard trim from Chris. It's a nice, clean shop with a positive atmosphere and they listen to their customers! read more

My go to barbershop now. I was looking for a place to cut my hair. After looking up a couple shops I decided to go with this one. The prices are very reasonable, website lets you set an appointment and pay ahead of time, which is convenient for me so I can just show up and get my hair cut and head out. My barber was Jeremy. He's a cool dude, did a great job and the whole shop has a great vibe to it. read more

Had an absolutely horrible experience. I showed what I wanted so they referred me to the best person for designs. I showed the picture and emphasized if it could not be replicated please tell me up front. I was told "oh absolutely no problem I can certainly do that" I did not see the amount of damage that was done till I left I included the picture I asked for versus what I got. $40 to butcher the heck out of my head thank god it grows back and I can conceal it read more

I got a great cut here and even learned something from the Barber. He explained to me that because of my thinning hair. It is best to ask for the hair that is thicker to be blended. They did a really good job and I definitely enjoyed the experience. read more

My son is so picky about his hair. His aunt introduced him to Javis Fades and we are now fans. The location is in downtown Salem, so we had to circle around a few times to locate it and find a parking space. The shop is clean and they had Godzilla playing for entertaining those who are waiting. My son had a cut in mind and his barber made it happen. My child hasn't walked out of a haircut with a smile like that in years. His beautiful red hair looks amazing and he is proud to show it off. read more

Javier's skill with a straight razor is exceptional. I was lucky enough to be passing by Javi's Fades as he was pulling in his sign for the evening. He joked that he had time for one more, and I took him up on it! So glad I did -- for a very fair $30 I got one of the closest, most comfortable shaves of my life. I have extremely sensitive skin on my scalp, but Javi took off everything without even a hint of inflammation, and no nicks (as confirmed by a delightful spritz of aftershave alcohol). Even as a very socially-challenged introvert, Javi was very comfortable to interact with. He's got that kind of air where silences don't grow uncomfortable. Absolutely delightful. I'll be returning when I want to treat myself to a proper shave again. read more

After my 2 year project of growing my hair out, I decided I was done with it. While on vacation in Salem, I looked up some barber shops and found Javis. When I phoned, Michael said he could take me now if I was close. He took my shoulder length hair to neat combover in no time. Couldn't be happier with the end result, and I'm feelin like myself again. Thanx again, Michael... I appreciate your fitting me in and bringing me back to normal! Good luck! And for anyone reading, check him out, you won't be disappointed. read more

Javis Fades - Michael did a great job on my hair and beard! - Barbers Near Me - Salem, Oregon

Went in to get my hair cut into a buzz cut. I needed a change and wanted all of my hair cut off. Michael communicated through the process. Due to personal reasons I wanted to cut my hair when others weren't allowed and he honored my wishes. I just didn't want to possibly cry in front of others but he made me so comfortable I left the shop excited for my new hair cut. Michael is funny, and nice, if you don't like something he will fix it. read more

Recently I took my grandson who is very particular when it comes to his hair to see Javier. I called the salon and we were able to come in without an appointment. My grandson told me it was the best hair cut he has ever had. He walked out with a smile on his face. That said it all! Thank you Javier. We will definitely be back! read more

I take my two boys here for their fades and designs. The guys in the shop have that barbershop environment with an open dialogue environment and are skilled at the craft. Prices are good for A+ quality. They do walk ins but would encourage setting up an appointment. If your in downtown looking to get cleaned up I would recommend stopping in. read more

I had high hopes of this place based on reviews. $30 bucks for a kids cut? This will be our one and only visit to Jarvis Fades. I've gotten better kid cuts for cheaper. read more

Just totally Awesome, friendly and fantastic service and gave a discount for first responders.

Best cut in Salem. Javi is the man hooked me up, came for a cut after 1 year of isolation lol. Walked away happy :) 10/10

This place is great! Grandson is 3 and barber did an amazing job & was soo patient! Husband also had a beard clean up and also looking fresh! Overall great service and attention to detail. read more

Awesome barbershop. I have been to barbers all over the world and keep coming back to Javi. You won't be disappointed

Have on their website "$20 for men's haircut" went in there and before I could even ask to clarify pricing, they made me sit down and started cutting my hair. They ended up charging $30. Don't go in unless you expect to pay more than they say. read more

Walked in for a haircut and none of the three barbers were wearing masks nor were any customers. Had to ask for a barber to wear a mask. Two people getting haircuts did not have masks. A couple of new people walked in, stayed to get haircuts, no masks. A walking covid location. Never again. My health is important to me. Even if the barbers had been vaccinated which I do not think they are, customers without masks and covid vaccination verification is is just bad business in the middle of a pandemic. read more

Brought my 3 year old son for a preschool cut he did great the first couple of minutes and then started getting impatient to a complete meltdown, his barber and I didn't get his name was very understanding, patient and would give my son breaks to get himself together. The staff was so kind and accommodating, towards the end my son wanted no more and I thought his hair looked great but I can tell our barber was a perfectionist and very attentive to detail. He would have probably waited for my son but It looked amazing to me! Thank everyone who was there when my son Luke was there 9/14 around noon. read more

First time here. Parking is a bit difficult in the area. I called and they said no problem getting in, there was no one waiting. Got right in with Enrique who was very nice and professional. He did a great skin fade, no lines and good skill. . All were very friendly I am going back. The shop is pretty small, and there are some heroin/meth addict street punks in that area but I've seen much worse, they are just a small nuisance. I recommend! read more

Awesome place. Laid back people. Got my hair cut by Blane and it was the best haircut I've ever gotten. I'll definitely be going back.

I booked an appointment with these guys because they seem ok even though some of them don't know what a high fade is. But not many do anymore anyways. So I then I realized that I spent way to much on Christmas gifts so I couldn't have gone if I wanted to. But then I get charged anyways making me go double negative in my bank account. They said it was because I wasted there time, but really how heartless can you be RIGHT BEFORE CHRISTMAS! Marry Christmas javis fades you lost my business for good! read more

My husband has been trying out barbers in Salem for the last few years but hadn't found luck with someone or a place he connected with. A friend referred him to try Javi's, so I decided to stop by and purchased a gift card for Christmas. The guys in the shop were super nice. I paid $30 which was basically "the works". Haircut, wash, style, shave and a face mask. About 3 weeks ago my husband went online and easily made an appointment. His appointment lasted a little over an hour and he was very impressed, impressed enough to make another appointment. He loved the relaxed atmosphere, convo, and also the value. He's been referring his buddies now, too. read more

Some tall skinny white dude cut my hair yesterday and it's probably the best haircut I've had in a long time. Great priced haircut and great atmosphere. Went in a while back because the spot I used to go to around the corner had a ridiculous wait and their prices keep going up. Anyhow I was able to walk right in and sit down in a chair. Got a great cut for a good price. I also like their online reservation system. The guy who cut my hair told me about it, my old spot didn't take reservations. read more
